Dervin Witmer from Dig-It Excavating walks you through the process of installing a septic system. There are several criteria that may require a new septic system including the following, a failed absorption area (soggy areas in yard), broken or undersized septic tank, and raw sewage surfacing.
Thanks, i work mostly in St. Clair county area about 60 miles north of Detroit and the Rubber chips are new to me never seen them before.
@speedingarod, in the areas we work a 4" sch 40 pipe is installed with a range of 1/8"-1/4" grade per foot, but we mostly install at a 2% slope. 100' is not a problem if you can get proper fall. -digitexcavating
Are those rubber chips cheaper than septic stones?
We work in three counties in SW Michigan. Drywells are used in applications where there is limited space and only used in replacement systems, never new Installations. Some counties don't allow them at all.

The cost is about the same, but we can haul more material per load because it is a lightweight product.
The last big buy I made was my mom's and dad's anniversary present , Septic tank. Oh, they're really hard to buy for. Besides, it was something they could use. They were really thrilled. Two tons of concrete, all steel reinforced
We Installed this system in one day.
hey i got a ? i got a storage little building about 100 feet from my septic tank, i put a toile and got water ready, is it posible to run the pipes that far? and what degree?
do you customarily turn off the water before digging a leach field?
That would be helpful to stay dry!
We installed this in a day.
what do you do to be sure that you don't cut any existing pipes?
Not sure what you are referring to when you say existing pipes?
What part of the country are u located in ? i am a septic installer in Michigan and have never seen a system like that ??
Thanks
Why not a rep way clean out?
You have a nice mini excavator.
I have a septic system.
How often should a septic tank be pumped out (2 adults using this system) just wondering the rule of thumb time frame for this?
My pumper says 5 years
Jackpot!
who long did this take?
How much did this cost?
Interested in your comments on: Proposed 750 gallon tank (could go 1000?) will have to go about 60 feet to tank - up 1 foot, then only 70ft of laterals (Fishing cabin, limited use but at least there 4 times per week - approx. 3-5 hours and more on weekends). Will be using Ez-flow laterals. 1. think I will need a pump to tank? 2. concerned about septic system failures? 3. What's a avg retail cost for equip(a) and (b)labor? I'm in MO.
4. should I use plastic tank or cement? (cost difference?)
Who’s running the camera needs to take a photography class on why TOO MUCH ZOOM loses subscribers!
Can't flush the toilet. U need a new tank and drain Field lol
Blablabla 😢😤😠
I didn't learn anything from this. It was only advertising. Too bad.
Lol 😂
