    This is the first video I found that isn’t trying to sell me on the reservoirs. I just want to do trail riding. Sounds like I can spend my money elsewhere. Thank you for your honesty

      @Ethan Arjun i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site through google and Im in the hacking process atm.
      I see it takes a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.

    I run older radflo emulsions & had no idea you could
    Covert them. Thank!
    I’ll probably look to do that in the future

    Are they fully adjustable on ride height?

  • @michaelbrenandmartin6721

    When adjusting ride height (going higher) on front coilovers with reservoir and compression adjuster, do I need to take some air out of the reservoir or no?

      No sir you will leave the Nitrogen pressure alone when adjusting that.

    holy crap I can not find anything involving radflo shocks for F150s...anyone know where I can find info or reviews for radflos?

    Are you serious about the mixing of oil and air? I thought there’s a floating piston to separate oil from air?

    • @Tetz95
      @Tetz95 3 роки тому

      There are both. Emulsion shocks will mix the gas and oil, literally emulsifying the mixture. There are also shocks that have the internal piston separating the gas and air. This is where adding a remote reservoir comes in by creating a larger volume for oil and gas. This allows for more volume to compress the gas and reducing the air spring effect and better cooling because there's more surface area.

    • @Gemini_0815

      @@Tetz95 to me an emulsion shock would be a shock with double tube design, which has no pressured gas chamber. This is the typical cheap and long lasting OE shock. And then you have gas pressure shocks with separation piston, also called monotube. What I don’t get is the guy is showing a monotube and calls it an emulsion shock. How’s that supposed to work?

    • @Tetz95
      @Tetz95 3 роки тому

      @@Gemini_0815 I'm not sure, either. Radflo's website calls them emulsion shocks, too. I wouldn't think you can easily convert a true emulsion shock to remote reservoir very easily.

      I believe from eyelet to eyelet, the emulsion shock will have longer travel (actually same as the external reservoir) than internal floating piston, which loses travel corresponding to the length of packaging of the IFP into the bottom of the cylinder. So for slow speed, where u don't over heat, it would be a better, longer travel stroke, do you follow that? The external reservoir essentially preserves the full travel length by not having to fit it into the cylinder.If u have enough travel for your application with an IFP, then you don't need the remote reservoir. Cooling is a total myth, it only applies to "cactus coolers" that have both an inlet and outlet oil hose to the reservoir.

      Yes, Bilstein calls it floating piston design, but yea- gas and oil are separated

    Nice vid.. but I still have no idea why the remote is supposedly better.. only that you say it is.

      The remote reservoir keeps the oil and the nitrogen separated in the shock body. An emulsion shock lets the oil and nitrogen mix. When you start working the shock hard the oil mixes with the nitrogen causing aerated oil. The shock pushes oil through shim stacks to cause the dampening. If the the oil is aerated then the shims don't work nearly as effective as they do when the shock has clean oil to push through the shims. That is why a remote reservoir shock is better.

    Victor te sigo desde hace años y te admiro en verdad por tu enorme trabajo pero que me digas hoy que el Barça salio bien parado y quedo bien despues de pa vergonzosa rueda de prensa de Xavi y Laporta es para miar y no echar gota. No es serio que un tio en enero se tire del barco cuando vienen mal dadas y diga que apartir de alli el equipo empezo a funcionar y que hoy diga que el equipo hizo el mejor entreno de la temporada porque tomo la decision de quedarse? Siento que el Barça quedo mal no, lo que sigue somos un meme y que nuestro rival cante Xavi quedate es señal que algo no esta bien. Xavi debio haber cumplido su palabra de haberse ido y Laporta empezar a hacer una gestion como Dios manda porque aqui ya es un desproposito total un club donde las cosas se hacen a lo loco Laport y Xavi resaltando todo lo bueno pero no existe autocritica para decir las cosas malas que son muchas Dios nos ampare con esta directiva y Xavi.
