The wife & I were blessed with the opportunity to see her at The Station Inn in Nashville on a trip. One of the Best nights of my Life! I dont think you could take the smile off my face with sandpaper. Praying we can see her again next time we go. PSA if youve never been to Nashville its an Amazing City
This version of Get Up, and the video, with Caitlin and Jefferson Hamer with his guitar work is really stunning. Her voice is mesmerizing and Jeffersons vocals and guitar do a great job of enhancing the experience of the song.....beautiful.
This is one of my very favorite Caitin songs. Love the song, her voice, chime of both guitars, vocal harmonies, just such a beautiful package. Oh and those sweet Tele riffs! This track is iconic.
Heard this song at end of Little Woods, a MASTERPIECE on airplane from Munich to VA. I put the dial on the movie on 1:37 about 100 times til we landed, so I could hear this over and over and over. I had paintings (I am an artist) coming in and out of my head with this haunting masterpiece!
oh wow. simply beautiful. i've been sitting here listening to her music all morning instead of working. she is something really special. and jefferson hamer's guitar playing works perfectly with her. one of the very best i have heard.
Love that Recording guitar. I gave my Grandchildren twin sons Recording king guitars,in the hopes that would be inspired to learn to play. But there are in Vt. and I now I live in NM. Its hard to be so faar away from them but thats a long story. I love your music DanfordDan music Tucumcari NM. God bless you and yours
I used this song to wake girls up at Many Point Scout Camp located near Ponford, Minnesota. Much more gental than the Marine Corp one I used to wake up the boys years ago.

hahah what's the deal with Jefferson Hamer? Is he just out there lurking in the alley behind the studio looking for someone who needs a backup? Don't get me wrong, I love him! He just seems to be creeping into more and more of the music I listen to without me ever actually trying to listen to his music...
+HenrikBergander Not sure of the model, but it's from the 1930s, it's not one of the 'modern' recording kings. I didn't know they'd been going that long until I researched Caitlin's music.
+HenrikBergander I thought I'd check reverb.com to see if there were any old Recording King guitars from the 30s on there...yeah one for $19,000! Her guitar probably didn't cost that much but I'm sure it was more than the $300 Recording King guitars they're making now. She sure makes it sound nice!
Jesus! That's so beautiful 🙏♥️🙏Thank you 🙏

Great songstress. we dont see enough of jefferson hamer these days
Still listening, ❤ thank you
Went to school with her, she was amazing even then.
Still is, can't get enough!
In a world of muck , drizzle and ominous grey skies, the voice of an angel is heard.
What a moment: Just come down and enjoy it for the moment.
I guess music and extraordinary people only can do that for me.
I have easily watched this 50 times. I love this song so much. Plus her weathered voice... man, so great!
Weathered voice. Perfect description.
Words such as beautiful, amazing, perfection, ..will never do justice to this.
Masterful job by Jefferson Hamer on this song.

Just lovely. Perfectly pitched & exquisitely woven vocals and instrumentation. Thank y'all.

Get Up--
Get up get up get up
No time to rest or run for cover
Get up get up get up
Before the road pulls you under
Sleeping on embers breathing in rivers
Waking up shivering on summer’s hottest night
Salt crusted sweat dries dust deep in white lines
Dreaming that you’ll find it in the nick of time
Get up get up get up
No time to rest or run for cover
Get up get up get up
Before the road pulls you under
Knock the breath out of your madness
Burn your photographs at the edges
Send your heart back from where you left it
Took a long way to come here
Got a long way to go
Climbing up switchbacks
Walking through tall grass the color of matches
On summer’s hottest night
Charred bark and dusty ash
Burned out two years back
Dreaming that you’ll find it in the nick of time
Knock the breath out of your madness
Burn your photographs at the edges
Send your heart back from where you left it
Took a long way to come here
Got a long way
Get up

That guy on Tele rawks
yes
Nice presence by only two people.

Can anyone else hear the L to R foot pats at 3:13
She has a beautiful voice and needs to be exposed to the music industry, we are missing out on a great musician here, only over 100K views?
Which modell of the Recording King guitar is she playing?
+HenrikBergander Not sure of the model, but it's from the 1930s, it's not one of the 'modern' recording kings. I didn't know they'd been going that long until I researched Caitlin's music.

Unreal
I hope you are back in touch with your mother, Caitlin. I once was in love with her many years ago.
Soo... anyone want to tab this for a guitar newbie like me?
Please and thank you!
Uh... no.
I meant gentel!
Man, Jefferson is just nasty.
He plays quite true but his sound is much too agressive imo, or maybe too loud.
Beautiful
