It's just as interesting to watch how they fix a mistake or accident with wood carving. Or with clay for that matter. With clay, the worst accident would be the artist falling on top of the almost finished fresh clay sculpture. Or breaking it just when it is perfectly finished. Most likely the wood chunk is way more expensive than the lump of clay/ceramic. Wood work is way slower, so it does give you time to plan ahead. But a false move with a power tool can do a whole lot of damage, which may or may not allow you room to do any corrections. Anyway, I don't do sculpture or carving or anything related to that type or art. This is magic to me. I guess I can make a ridimentary cup with clay, only to watch it break when trying to cook it. With a lump of wood, not sure but most likely it's be something that even super old timey Neanderthal's would laugh at me.
hey. Have there been any monumental failures in your wood sculpting practice that turned out to be significant learning opportunities? Could you share what the situation was and what it taught you?
What is your approach to preserving the natural beauty and integrity of wood in your sculptures while also ensuring they are durable and weather-resistant, especially for outdoor installations?
@@Thon2024 Well this is something you can never know. Artists like him, hone their craft to perfection over the years, practicing all the time, while the average people will never bother to even learn to draw (or play one instrument) because they think they don't have the talent for it.
@@Soulkey_sbr That's because an average human will took actual 3 to 4 times that dedication if he/she actually wanted to get to that level, its just not worth it imo, everyone has their strength and talent, its better to focus one what you already had.
Imagining this amazing wood art was ready for sale in a store, next to same model but from plastic or even aluminium, from a big company. This wood art cost 10x their plastic/aluminium counterpart. If I have the money, I would pick this wood art over the other in a heartbeat.
From one artist to another, amazing work. With such a hard medium to work with, you still managed to achieve incredible results and cut through it like butter. You made it look so easy, great work!!!

Qué locura, no tiene nada de sentido. No puedo entender cómo maneja tan bien las profundidades, el nivel de perfeccionismo en los detalles, y la paciencia que carga esta persona. Es arte puro, qué lo-cu-ra.

The shape, the pose, the expression, the detail. Perfect, great work!
Incredible proportion awareness. This is sublime. Im pretty sure Eiichiro Oda would love to add one of your works to his collection.

Saying someone is talented just ignores the sheer amount of practice and dedication to get to this level.
Talento também, você pode praticar a vida toda nunca vai fazer um igual.

10x higher price is a little too less. It's one of a kind so it will likely fetch 100x more at least.
The confidence to keep using the chainsaw for detailed work as you get further and further into such an intense project is impressive.
I can't even grasp this skill... It's just not human...😮
Use your imagination! It’s within you.
Yeah very talented dude right there
