Paul McCartney talks Flaming Pie, Knighthoods and Beatles Anthology to Stuart Maconie - 15 June 1997

What a year 1997 was for Paul McCartney! The year started with a Knighthood and ended with the release of his official biography.
In between these events came new music, namely the album Flaming Pie released on 5th May 1997.
Flaming Pie was a commercial and critical success, reaching number 2 on the album chart in both the UK and the USA.
This radio interview was broadcast by BBC Radio 1 at 9.00pm on Sunday 15th June 1997 in the UK.
Paul is talking to the broadcaster Stuart Maconie and it’s a great interview. Flaming Pie has been out for a few weeks at this point and Paul is clearly happy at its success.
New 2020 digital transfer from the original analogue cassette recording I made from FM Radio all those years ago.
