@@veramaria107 After world war 2 there were many trials in Europe against German individuals who was behind war crimes and various crimes against humanity. They were usually sentenced to prison or death. To avoid this, many of them escaped to South America. Often with valuables that they stole during the war. So when he says there's no reason to look into the history of why his grandfather moved to Argentina right after the war, he's referring to the German war criminals who escaped.
Most Europeans will get this reference as some Germans who escaped law like this got very famous for the extreme torture, experiments and violence they had inflicted upon others. Josef Mengele is one of the most known.

They pay me a carp load of dollars for my work. I hurt my arm during work. I pay one crap load of dollars for a doctor, while I get fired for not being profitable enough. Then I checked up on my countrys history. Hmm...nothing happened during 2024-2030. I wonder why. But something happened in 2001, but we don't talk about that.

TBH, having lived in China, I can tell you that the Imperial Japanese were not appreciably better people than the Nazis. They were just less methodical and clinical about it and then rather than having their cities only destroyed with regular munitions, they had the good luck to be hit with nukes which seems to have gotten them off the hook for a lot of it.
Really, it's a myth that there were any good guys in WWII as they all commit extreme acts that would now be considered to be crimes against humanity, what with the Allies firebombing Dresden despite a complete lack of any actual military facilities and the Soviets engaging in acts of retribution as they took over more of the formerly occupied territories.
