This brings back memories of 15 years ago when I was there with a friend. Our vacation started from London Heathrow. We landed in Miami and spent 6 hours at Miami Beach & the Art Deco District before then flying out to Lima Peru. We spend 2 weeks traveling around Peru before flying back to Miami, after being caught up in the 8.0 earthquake of 2007. When we got back to Miami from Lima we rented a Mustang GT & drove to Key West. The sun was starting to set about half way through the journey to Key West, & I remember the radio station we were listening to as we were driving down only seemed to play British music from the 60’s. Later we spent 4 days driving around Florida before flying back to London.

Thanks for the ride; I really enjoyed it. It was my first time traveling from Miami to Key West. My head kept falling backward and to the side; but the whole entire video was interesting enough for me to stay awake. THANK YOU AGAIN!!!!
I traveled in 1997 a part of my big bus round trip (Florida/Georgia/Alabama) by "Greyhound"-bus service from Miami to Key West and return. It was one of many interesting and amazing trips in my live.
The Miami to Key West route was first built as a railroad. When a hurricane damaged a bunch of the bridges(in 1930s I think), then the state or locals down there(I forget what it was) all decided to convert the railroad tracks into a road. Some of the old railroad bridges still exist to this day, and certain ones were converted into piers for local fisherman to use. Plus anyone who wants to walk on them leisurely. Over time in the mid 20th century, a bunch of portions of the Overseas Highway had replacement bridges built. Such as where Seven Mile Bridge is located. The original bridges between islands for this highway, used the original railroad bridges that were converted into being a road.
Formerly from Florida, I'm now living in Germany. Thanks for the awesome video going thru the Florida Keys! What memories!! That's my favorite road trip!❤️✌🏽🚘 I'd love to see a return video back to Miami!
My wife and I stayed at Looe Key Reef Resort at 2:53:36 in April, 2022. We drove to Key West at 6am and got some pics by the obelisk early and nobody was up! Drove back to Miami Beach for lunch. I’m from Naples so south Florida will always have a special place in my heart. I love this video. It brings back memories of going to Homestead and the Florida Keys.
I used to think California was the most Australian looking state in the US but this drive is SO much like coastal country Queensland if it wasn't for the right hand drive I'd think this was somewhere around Bowen or Townsville. Very similar looooong straight two-way highway with lots of traffic and lots of little coastal towns, coconut palms, salt flats, mangroves and tourist traps.
😂 Well, Australia not only drives like the British on the wrong side of the road but most of the vehicles in Australia are small Japanese and Korean ones like you see in all over Southeast Asia!
Naturally things have changed in the Keys since the '50s. As a child raised in Miami, the family spent at least one weekend a month camping beside Teatable Bridge inIslamorda, until hurricane Donna destroyed the land mass. (That's pronounced Isle-a-marada). I took the whole ride to Key West with you and enjoyed it so much. Last time I did this trip was early nineties. I live in Texas now. Great Video.
I took a bus from Miami to Key West to see a high school friend interviewing for a job on the island in 1979. Thankfully, I don't remember the trip being long. She lived on Marathon so the trip wasn't too long for her. It's great seeing this route decades later. My memories of Key West were seeing the sunset with a crowd of others, seeing a play on Green Street, seeing the world's biggest bug in a spider's web on the bench I was sitting, a Woody Allen film retrospective and the Conch Train full of tourists.
Didn't expect much, but turned out to be very relaxing ride. With big 4k screen I felt like your passenger. Thanks for taking me where I've never been.

Great driving tour around Miami to Key West. Beautiful street scenery. Magnificent view of clouds formation, blue sky and the pathway. Tnx4sharing fully watched ActionKid.
Nice drive. There's US Hwy 1 ends/starts in Key West and back up all the way to Maine. That would be a long long trip if anyone had the patience to pull that off lol.
I grew up in the suburbs of Philly and we were maybe 10 minute walk from Baltimore Pike which is part of that whole Route 1 going all through Philadelphia , the suburbs , down to Kennett Square and the mushroom capital of the world haha and basically I-95 parallels it ... it was the original I-95 , basically . I didn't watch this but I scrolled all the way to the end and give it a thumbs up anyway . I usually do that for the channels I like even if I don't have time to watch their videos
Greetings from Germany! I used to live in southern Florida for more than a year, back in 1989/1990. I'm amazed how little has changed since then - well I guess a lot has changed, but from the car it all looks the same. I've been back in Florida two or three times on vacation, but the last time is already more than 20 years ago. I'll really need to go back there for a visit - even after all these years it feels a bit like home. Anyway, thanks for the great video! (Haven't watched it completely yet - currently at Islamorada - but I will)
Was talking to a German tourist at Disneyworld Orlando; she seemed to be most impressed by the size and scale of things here in the US (probably the park itself, which is apparently much larger than anything found in Germany).
This feels so much like taking a ride with a friend. I was about to point out, at about 15 minutes, that there was blue sky ahead, and the skies were brightening. Thanks for this.
Thank you for the video very well done I've made this trip myself probably 25 times my first time I went down there when my parents back in 1965 one of my favorite rides is going across that bridge thank you again love your video❤❤❤❤❤❤
It's been over forty years since I took a long drive. This was really relaxing. My last drive wasn't, I towed a 20 ft caravan from Adelaide to Brisbane, about two thousand km, or 1200 m. Hot and dry. Watching this at my desk was a lot more fun.
From 53 minutes to 1h48m was my daily drive for the 3 years I worked on the Netflix series Bloodline. 80% of what we filmed was in Islamorada, 10% in Key Largo, and 10% in Homestead/Miami. But I did this drive every day six days a week... Miss it.
I enjoyed watching that and to be honest my favorite part about the whole show was the beautiful scenes and that property on the water ..the cinematography and video effects .the acting...all excellent thank you!
The Gulf is on the right side and Atlantic ton the left going down to Key West. The remains of the Flager railway bridge to the lower keys, built in early 1900's should be seen on your left out in the water I think. A beautiful scenic drive.
I live in Hackettstown, NJ. My first trip to Key West was in September of 2022. A weekend drive with my brother-in-law. He lives in Naples. Fantastic experience!!!
The sounds of this video are so soothing, I really felt like I was sitting shotgun on a calm road trip. I have insomnia and after about twenty minutes into this video, I was sleeping like a baby. Most people wouldn't really want their viewers to sleep through their videos, but I couldn't have asked for anymore more 🙏

Thanks very much for video taping this trip. You did a great job as it was just like I was taking this trip in my car. A lot of clouds but that is normal especially for July. Great job!
Greetings from Bulgaria! Thanks for a nice and interesting video,palms,palms..so many, beauty!😊
Fantastic! excellent driving, just the right amount of talking, very enjoyable. Regards from the UK.
Great video! I drove to Key West from Chicago in July of 2023. Most likely took me 30 hrs. I miss Key West and the drive. Thank you for your video.
Great driving tour around Miami to Key West. Beautiful street scenery. Magnificent view of clouds formation, blue sky and the pathway. Tnx4sharing fully watched ActionKid.
Thank you for this beautiful tour. I've been to Miami and Key West in November 2013.
That would be a very long drive!
Try riding it via tour bike . . . THAT, would be a trek! 😆🇺🇸
Incredible drive loved it all. Key West is just paradise. Great job 👏
I watch this over and over again. With my own music.
I really enjoyed this - it is a drive I have always wanted to do. Nice work man.
This feels so much like taking a ride with a friend. I was about to point out, at about 15 minutes, that there was blue sky ahead, and the skies were brightening. Thanks for this.
Great video. Enjoyed seeing what it is like to dive from Miami to Key West. Enjoyed the tour around Key West too.
This brought back some great memories! Such a scenic drive
Really enjoying your video! My wife and I have made that trip when we lived in Fort Myers in 2016. Not much has changed! Thanks for sharing!
You videoed the whole trip, THAT WAS FANTASTIC!
Thank you for the video very well done I've made this trip myself probably 25 times my first time I went down there when my parents back in 1965 one of my favorite rides is going across that bridge thank you again love your video❤❤❤❤❤❤
I’ve done this job twice. Both times it was absolutely beautiful.
It's been over forty years since I took a long drive. This was really relaxing. My last drive wasn't, I towed a 20 ft caravan from Adelaide to Brisbane, about two thousand km, or 1200 m. Hot and dry. Watching this at my desk was a lot more fun.
Wow so much fun ..thanks for the lift!
Thank you so much for the video. I will be making this same drive in September, but from Jacksonville.
Damn miami is gonna be a dope map for 6
I have not traveled to the Keys
. Always wanted to go. So i am getting to experience it through your videos. Thanks
Always wanted to drive to Key West.. Your Vid is as close as I will get... Thanks for that.. Beautiful place,, Praise God
From 53 minutes to 1h48m was my daily drive for the 3 years I worked on the Netflix series Bloodline. 80% of what we filmed was in Islamorada, 10% in Key Largo, and 10% in Homestead/Miami. But I did this drive every day six days a week... Miss it.
Excellent show...thank you for your service!
I enjoyed watching that and to be honest my favorite part about the whole show was the beautiful scenes and that property on the water ..the cinematography and video effects .the acting...all excellent thank you!
Thanks for a great ride to Key West. It has changed so much since I was there but it is still beautiful. Thanks again.
This is the best tour video of key wedt ever ,believe me.
Awesome content. It brings me so many memories in my time growing up in South Florida. Thank you so much for this video. Hope you had a blast!
Cool, absolutely beautiful drive. I rode my bicycle from Miami to Key West.Nice sharing ..
Wow Ak! Awesome driving to miami to key west!
Thank You! Haven't watched the entire experience yet but will do soon. Thank You.
The sounds of this video are so soothing, I really felt like I was sitting shotgun on a calm road trip. I have insomnia and after about twenty minutes into this video, I was sleeping like a baby. Most people wouldn't really want their viewers to sleep through their videos, but I couldn't have asked for anymore more 🙏
I've made this drive at least 20-30 times in my life. Beautiful scenery, I can pull off in one of the towns along the way for lunch.
literally the best thing i've experience in my life, been to key west twice (while staying in miami).
at least once in my lifetime i need to actually stay in key west for vacation.
Very great ride, greetings from The Netherlands
As a Brit who has never been to the USA, i would love to do this trip one day. I doubt it will happen, so for now watching your travel will be close enough.
My friends and I are a planning a trip there this year we live in Tampa we always go to MIA but never the Keys …. I came across ur video yesterday and took my time watching it and writing down where I need to be ….. Thanks loads … Originally from London…. So this is gonna be fun!!!🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

Wish I'd found this earlier really getting late don't think I'm going to be able to finish it tonight LOL but I will tomorrow really brings back memories thanks
I was homeless in my car when i was in Miami. I was living out of my car with my boyfriend and one day we drove down to key west. I loved it
Why did u go back? If I were young again…I’d take a one way trip down there!
I drove there from Miami and back yesterday. It’s pretty long but definitely worth it the water is so relaxing to swim in
Excellent video... enjoyed the ride. You drove right past Sloppy Joe's Bar and didn't even mention it...
