So, if you translate the Japanese version of the note, there's an extra juicy tidbit of info: "I heard there is something called the "Death Blossom Dagger" in the castle. It's a medieval item, and apparently the blade is coated with all kinds of "poisons" from all over the world, past and present. It was apparently made by a delusional former head of the family to kill demons and monsters. It's really interesting... but no one knows where it is anymore." ...So, a supposedly delusional former head of the Dimitrescu(?) family created it, I guess.
That's really cool. I had a hunch that it was made by someone in the family because it has the Dimitrescu Emblem on it, but it's great that this confirms it without a doubt...and that he was a nutcase apparently lol.
I feel like the tower is more of a small cathedral, a place where marriage and death can be taken place in a religious building. This idea can support the lover or a finance being the man in the coffin, or another option is potentially the father of lady D, whith him being a person who possibly knew where the dagger was originally held.
That's a good theory. Someone else mentioned that the Japanese translation of the letter states that the creator was a former member of the family and possibly ruled over the village, possibly Lady D's ancestor, and that's why the dagger was kept by the family all this time. Assuming only important members of the family knew about it's location, I definitely think the assassin was either her lover, or her family member to gain access to it. It also explains the nice looking coffin with the family emblem on it too.
to put it simply, Any mythological creature yet it be vampires, zombies, gods(?), goatman, wendigo, whatever they just found alot of poisons and thought "yeah im sure this'll kill it"
I found something out about this, but apparently it got cut. There was supposed to be a 4 daughter of Lady Demetris she had crystal white hire and she had a pair of sizzles for some reason they cut her out they didn’t even give us a name for the 4 daughter.
Think I heard about this ages ago but forgot about it, thanks for bringing it up. So I guess this was just a reused idea from her that Capcom threw together quick, and that's why we're left with these plot holes lol.
@ it’s kind of a shame they didn’t keep in. I did thought of my own resident evil village comic. I’m still working on it. I’m just need to find someone to help me make it and that person you mentioned in the coughing in that video I think that may have been the someone in charge of that village. I think there were two names, but I can’t remember them of titles of people in charge of villages.
I think it's possible he was in charge of the village or at least a higher up rank of the castle that was unmentioned in the lore. It's too much of a coincidence given how nice his coffin is and the other points I made in the video. If he was Lady D's romantic partner, which is my guess, he definitely had power over the village at one point, but was wiped from memory. Good luck on your Resident Evil comic too, as you can tell by these videos, we love fan fiction and theories on this channel too.
@ I mean, yeah he could’ve secretly planned to kill lady D and lady D pretty much knew it and she invited him in the castle and we pretty much guess what happened to him?
Re8 is my 2nd favorite re game so its cool seeing a video about it from you. Even if it was written by your brother and not you. I guess you're both big re fans.
I doubt Cesare is intended to be the Duke we know. The information just says a Duke and Duke wasn't exactly an uncommon title. It also isn't really that wierd that The Duke was visting Lady D as it was clear he delt in many things as a merchant so why wouldn't the Lords have met with him from tine to time and it just happened to be Lady D at the time of the game. Plus its atleast rumored that he was planned to be one of the Lords but that was changed due to time constraints or something, I forget if it was ever confirmed, and that note could have been left over from that plan.
Yeah, there's not too much evidence to support the "Duke is Cesare" theory. This was one of those fun "what ifs?" that I thought was interesting given the little information we know about the Duke. I don't personally believe it but it was worth a mention, especially given the fact he might've been alive during the time of the founding fathers of the village, making him the most obvious suspect from the current day characters.
Yeah it definitely wasn't. It was made in the 15th Century so long before she was around. But I think she knew it was there since she has been living in the castle since at least the 1950's. Also who else buried the body if not her? The concept art clearly states he tried to kill her with the dagger, she 100% knows about it in my opinion.
The dead guy in the coffin could have been a male relative of lady Dimitrescu who probably was either her brother or her cousin in the military army during the time sometimes weapons with the family crest to bring with them during the Middle ages in the Middle ages or another the unknown man was properly a lover of one of the women working in castle Dimitriescu to get revenge for his lover's death
Interesting video! I completed this game recently and was wondering about this. - Perhaps it's from the Devil May Cry universe with it's strange swords, ancient monsters and demons
Thanks a lot. Yeah the origin of the dagger is the most compelling mystery out of these. To think they were 500 year old demons in RE is crazy. And your DMC theory is really cool too
It’s good to do something different occasionally lmao, don’t worry though, back to RE4 next Ps: my brother actually wrote the script for this video, I know nothing about RE8 to be honest, I just did the voice 😂
I was actually going to make a video on the baker’s victim list, the one that included Clancy. But we couldn’t find much substance to base a video off of it unfortunately.
I never played this one. I've kinda given up gaming. Well i still play old games (Code Veronica atm) i didn't get a PS5 and im still rocking a 1060 in the PC so im limited in what i can play. I will however be playing KCD2 when it arrives.
Same bro, I don’t really like gaming anymore either. Maybe a horror game once every couple of years or so. Other than that, I just like talking about older games like RE4 even if I don’t play them for fun anymore
@pandadares8905 Ya, it's a strange dichotomy in that whilst I don't play much anymore, the time I would have spent gaming I spend watching gaming content. 🤷🏻♂️ I guess I was unable to stomach the switch from artistic pursuit to pure product.

imagine they make a resident evil set in the middle ages
The biggest gripe I had with it is that I couldn’t keep it 😞
Should’ve been a bonus weapon at least 😭

Haha true. Would've been cool if we got to see bones of a massive monster in game
look if you try everything at least one of them has to work right?
@@michaelcreech8957 and it did!
until they adapted so fast they became saddler 2.0
(i've only played re4 remake and some re0)

That’s awesome to hear, I’m glad that you appreciate the non-re4 videos 🙏. I’ve only finished re8 once but I really enjoyed it
maybe she kept it as reminder to how close someone was to successfully killing her. to remind her not to let her guard down
Definitely possible. I think it was kept in case of an emergency or for Miranda, but this could be true.

I dont think the dagger was created to defeat lady D, i doubt she even knew it was there

Wow re8 videos now? Love that it is similar to re4
Nice video 👍 Different from re4 but still good
It’s good to do something different occasionally lmao, don’t worry though, back to RE4 next

@pandadares8905 Oh lol didn't notice. I actually liked the different game aspect, maybe you can do one about re7 or something?
