These videos would teach me a lot if I knew how the pieces moved or what en passant was. At least the videos are really fun (the colors and horses are exciting!). Thanks Ben!
I never tire of this game. I could watch every video about it.
I love this 7-minutes and 19-seconds with Ben video. The game was pretty good too.
We like these manoeuvres that, only the best, know how to play and only Ben knows how to make it interesting enough to keep watching.
Really like these 5min vids. Keep um coming Ben!
Agree! Thanks Ben
Best 7min video I've seen!
"except for one thing" is extremely funny and correct. 😂
I love these 5 min with Ben videos, Ben!!
Love this format!
I love this video format, keep them coming!
I love how you say you can't end the five-minute video at six minutes something, and keep going for another minute.
Great feature, thank you!
5 minutes with Ben, over 7 minutes, very suspicious
The inflation these days, man
I live in Denmark near Thisted where Bent Larsen was born 👍
Yes I like this style of making videos, also your last Fischer joke made me laugh the most ^_^
7 minutes of 5 minutes with Ben, hooray!
Interestingly, while Spassky's rook sac at 3:42 has received universal acclaim, Stockfish only considers it the third best move in the position, giving higher marks to Qh4 and Bxe3. I take some comfort in knowing that there is no way I'd have the imagination to play Rh1, but the routine Qh4 that I probably WOULD play is actually a better move (according to Stockfish).
Thank you for this comment. Very interesting.
What sort of evaluations? mate in 5 or mate in 12 or +20. Can stockfish give up enough pieces to run away in any line?
"This _is_ a five minute video; I can't end now!" Timestamp: 6:08. 🤣
Yessss! I love this game, even as a b3 player
No surprise Fischer said okay to Larsen. I expect he figured the Russians would be counting on him being board one so Bobby thought to throw them a curve.
Surely, Fischer's long term goal was to become World champion, which meant defeating Spassky in a match. My guess is that was his motivation for agreeing to play on board 2 - avoid confrontations with Spassky until the championship match, then come out with guns blazing.
Which video did he rank the top chess players of all time?
New series concept: 5 boring minutes with Ben
5 minutes of ben with 2 minutes and 19 seconds extra on the side? dont mind if i do, thank you :)
Over 7 minutes?! I put this video on 1.5x speed to make it as close to 5 minutes as possible.
Truly, you have a dizzying intellect.
I think I remember this line in the princess bride
Wait 'til I get going!
@@johnh5259lol that's the one!
This series is the best thing youve ever made aside from great players of the past.
five minutes except for one thing
Crushmate.
If you get checkmated but succeed in preserving your queen, the score should me more like 0.1-0.9 for a bit of credit. I shall lobby FIDE for that rule change.
Put it in H!
That was 7 minutes. I feel cheated.
This video is 5 minutes.... Except for one thing.
Larsen is my favourite player ever and this game always kills me but... I simply cant deny spassky wasnt as bad as he played. The truth hurts
He lost 6 games in a row. I mean, come on.
Fischer has been soft for 10 seconds in his entire life, and agreed for Larsen to play board 1.
