Something notable about Fluorite is why she talks so slow, every gem that makes up her form have to be in sync with eachother and agree on their actions and words, so they are very careful, slow and deliberate on everything they do
Its shown over and over that fusions have a hard time talking, even our girl Garnet struggles, Alexandrite can barely speak at all and im pretty sure Obsidian entirely cant speak, she only screams and grunts, that's why these fusions are usually exclusively for combat, to them fighting is easier to agree on then any social skill
That makes Fluorite even more impressive, with 6 gems making her up, being able to talk AT ALL, let alone keep the form stable for so long is insane, they must really be good at communication in their head
Also, when on the ship with Lars, her job is the engine bay and repairs, that might seem confusing at first, she doesn't look all that handy and her generally slow movements should make repairs really slow, that is until you look at WHAT her gems are, 3 of them are the same shape, triangles
Peridots are triangles
Now it's not confirmed, I could be wrong, but her being half made up of Peridots makes a lot of sense to me, her green skin and her triangular hair
But most importantly, Peridots are engineers, maintenance, kindergarteners and tinkerers
With a fusion like this you have 3 Peridots all agreeing on how to fix the ships systems, it's something they all know and understand, i bet when she's down there she moves way faster then we usually see her because she's in her element

I really hope we get some kind of spin-off rather it be a book like Marcy's Journal or the Book of Bill or even a TV series/movie about Lars and the off colors adventures in space

Personally, I've always been a lars fan from the pilot. Then it turned out we are both filipino!! Hes always been my favorite, especially with how he and Steven grow up together. He always complained about Steven being childish, but through their time together, he learned how to be empathetic and to listen. He wouldnt have been the lars who sacrificed himself if he and steven had never met, he may have been stuck annoying forever 😂 btw i agree hes a big bitch at first, i just got drawn into him for some reason lmao
Rhodonite’s story was the only Off-Color story featured in the art book. Every other story was briefly mentioned during the Off-Color episode. I think its about understanding why the characters are the way they are. For example, at first, I thought Steven was so annoying, but then I reminded myself that he’s a child-of course, he would act that way! I really enjoy Lars’ character development; I feel like he definitely had some valid moments to crash out before he turned pink. I love that the show highlights minorities. I never realised that Fluorite has more gems than Obsidian, which is the biggest fusion we see in the series
It's crazy because they're only one gem apart, and Obsidian is huge asf😂😂😂

He was definitely a ball of negativity throughout this show 😭 But im glad he found his purpose towards the end.
