Love this! My husband and I have a bit of an agegap (12 years). We've been married for 22 years. Our first child is 21. Fertility issues had us wait another 12 years for our second (10) and third child (6). He was always concerned how is age would play into their childhood. He is also an airline pilot and gone a lot. We have found EVERYTHING is better. Financial stability, perspectives and all around patience make the difference. We parent as a team. He loves that he can enjoy them, and while he does work away from home, his time is more focused on our family as a whole (not focused on age). Love is love and you all will be amazing parents.
