I am in love with his life style Maestro, he looks so happy and peaceful doing his works of art. Felicidades y gracias por mostrarnos su trabajo y hermosos instrumentos de cuerda.
Ima looking to start making my first violin, but I’m not entirely sure where to get a mold thingy (for some reason it’s name scapes me) to attack the ribs to while forming them?
Hello Captain Nelf, thank you for your message. Normally, violin makers make the mould/mold themselves. To do so, you need a scale 1:1 plan of an existing violin, from which you can derive the shape of the mould. Otherwise, you could design your violin model yourself (no need for an existing plan than), and design the mould accordingly. Good luck with making your first instrument! (PS: a good book to start with is "The art of violin making" by Johnson and Courtnall)
Hello Leo, thank you for your reply! Are you a maker yourself? I made some classical guitars in the past, but lately only bowed instruments. But I would like to make some more guitars in the future! Kind regards, Geerten

Do you make classical guitars too?

@@Boussu_Inside_Out Hi, I'm not. I am asking because I see there is a guitar in your workshop. BTW, I really enjoy watching your videos :)
Thanks! The guitar is for playing some music between the woodworking (-:
