The old, 'I had to go back for more dogs' syndrome. The worst part of adopting a shelter dog is you never stop thinking about the ones you left behind.
So true. Plus, if you volunteer at a rescue of shelter, the could-have-been haunts you. It's not an abstraction to you. You see the seniors who have no more withes left.

That is so true. The faces looking at me praying I take them too as I left with my rescue is still forever imprinted in my mind. I would have taken them all if I had the resources and land. I love them all.

6:50 AM YOU HAVE THE BIGGEST HEART. To say “Thank you” is not enough. I have always rescued! My Polish Lowland Sheepdog passed two years ago and it broke my heart. I still have my rescued chihuahuas ❤. I watch you all of the time and the love you have for your pack is contagious.
You teach others to love unconditionally. What a gift! Thank you for all you do. I think I’m ready to rescue again after losing my sheepdog. He would want me to be happy.

I am thrilled there are people like Lee who take in the handicapped dogs that others would pass over. The dogs chosen seem to know that Lee wants them! I never get tired of these beautiful stories! Turning around and going back made me smile! I am thrilled Lee couldn’t go without them! 😊
I have to say, those "Wobbly" dogs seem to have the sweetest most loving personalities! Like they're just so full of love it'd bubbling over. OMG! They just said this same thing!!

Thank you Lee and everyone who helped with this additional rescue. I am so happy you went back for these 3. They sure need you & the Sanctuary. The first little one with skin condition: check - you can heal him like you did Ronan. The second one with condition like Matilda: check - you can give them a happy home like you did Matilda & hopefully they will improve like she did. And the nervous black shepherd: check - she needs you and your Pack & will love going to the water on your walks. I'm in actual tears. There are no words to describe how beautiful this is. You just saved and changed the lives of 5 dogs in a matter of 2 days. Nobody has a heart like you. You might try looping back legs to limit spread, to build strength. They do it with chicks when they have legs that span too far .. eventually muscles strengthen. The limited motion allows for balance instead of a split. Hope that makes sense. It's like a rubberband holding both legs closer together on chick...and it works. Thinking rig something similar.

This video is pure happiness! All of the new dogs are absolutely precious and I can see why Lee couldn"t leave them behind. I think Rum Raisin is the absolute cutest, though....and Grammy, too. How devastating they were both strays but are now about to live their best lives. I can't wait to see Matilda meeting her new friend with walking issues, too....Matilda will show her the ropes. Every one of these new dogs is so lovable and I can't wait to see them introduced to the pack and living the dream at Asher House.

We have 3 rescues and it has been such a joy to see them relax and become happy and flourish. I know my friends get tired of me constantly posting about adopting shelter, pets. The beauty is that many of them have adopted fur babies now. Lee you and all of your team are angels on earth. It would be amazing to see other Asher house facilities created across the US!! Especially post Covid, there are so many dogs that need good homes. I’m fortunate to live in Michigan, where many of the shelters are no kill and there are several rescues. We are in the home city of the Bissell corporation who has devoted millions of dollars to helping shelter pets. Lee, you are an inspiration and it just goes to show you that with a dream, love and hard work, you really can change the outcome for these special babies. ❤❤ God Bless ❤❤

My rescue foster dog is obsessed with watching Asher house on iPad, like 24/7. He cries when Lee is not on. It’s the only thing that calms him, he is in a pen with displaced hip and leg. Waiting for surgery. He would love Lee to be his daddy. He can’t get enough of him. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

All I can say is, "WHAT A MAN"! What a big heart. I wish I could help every dog out there in need. I breaks my heart when dogs have to be kenneled for extended periods of time. I even spent time working for the local Humane Society. I have adopted the ones most likely to not be adopted. Please help locally to help any animal in need!
