Looking back on my life, I realize that The Doctor's reaction to River flirting with him is so similar to myself. I didn't mean to insult the guy I had a thing for, but I sort of did out of awkwardness anyway. Great catch though but no better than Matt!

fuck when he got asked what villain he would want to play if he wasn't the doctor i had an idea of missie finding away to choose how her regeneration looked when she dies and picking the face of 11 to toy with the doctor by making basically fight himself it would be really hard to pull off but if it worked it could be one of the best who episodes ever

+Shaun L I agree, it reminds people that he is an old man, matt was amazing I love him and I do want him back as much as the next but that's doctor who. Peter is brilliant and he shows us the very dark side of the doctor and it's so funny to see him joke around because you wouldn't expect it from the eyebrows. 😊

it would have been geek overload but how fantastic would it have been to have cumberbatch play the master when matt played the doctor :p
***** not quite sure what you meant but I think I got that last part :p I just hope that when they do meet it will be something moffat wrote. Before Jared Leto was cast as the Joker I thought Smith actually would have been a great choice, cause when you think about it when he is playing the doctor it's almost the same character but at hearts (could not help myself :p ) while sometimes crazy is a good and decent person. So have him let loose the other way would have been fun to see, only problem is that the closest thing sherlock has to the joker is moriarty and andrew scott has already made the part legendary, kinda felt sorry for jarred harris cause he did such an amazing job, watching him and RDJ play chess both literally and figuratly was just incredible. But Scott just ran with it and made the role entirely his own, haven't seen margery from game of thrones play that version yet so I don't know if she is any good. But if they could just make up one character and have moffat write it, I'm not suggesting that he basically writes the doctor into sherlock but moffat knows exactly how to write for both smith and cumberbatch so I can hear them getting into a verbal confrontation that will sound more beautiful then any music ever written :p

Funny seeing this now the 50th has passed and Matt is no longer the Doctor, quite sad thinking like that but kinda lends some perspective over some of his answers.

Matt Smith was just too young for the role and compared to Patrick Troughton, Jon Pertwee, Tom Baker and Christopher Eccelston was lightweight in his performance. Overrated.
I'm sorry, I get that Matt is not everyones favorite Doctor, but calling him a "lightweight" in his performance is delusional and disrespecful.
Well, compared to past doctors, he is really. Lacks that "gravitas" in his performance.

I think he definetly has that gravitas. He really manges it to play the old man in a young mans body quite well, I think.
