Hey Theo! Wanna talk about Newcastle with me again? I told you man. Peace brother! ✌ Isak is on fire, but we can't afford any other strikers to let the lad rest. Letting Dubs go, may be a mistake. His long kicking outshines Pope, and the team are defending as a unit. We still need a RW, but it might have to wait until the summer. I can see us keeping our powder dry this January, as PSR is literally a pain for anyone outside the generic top six. Especially for Newcastle due to the high wage bill. I still think we'll end up 5th. I may be optimistic, but the squad has refound it's identity. Higher is possible, depending on the fitness of Wilson for the rest of the season. Lastly, this could be the year we end our trophy drought. A lot will depend on whether or not the wheels fall off a bit at Liverpool. (However I also feel we were robbed when we played em last time shoulda eneded up 4-3 to Howe's army)
Newcastle DON'T have to sell anyone. We have a tight budget, but there are plenty of players to move on before we consider any of Bruno, Tonali and Isak. (Harvey Barnes for one, he's just not required as much) Isak going to Arsenal?? We just spanked em at the Emirates. . Isak has a long contract. The only team that could afford him are Real Madrid or PSG (and who would want to drop down into the farmers league?) Remember Newcastle haven't had Wilson all season. The reason for our marked improvement is also down to Tonali moving into the 6 role and Bruno advancing to the RCM 8. Gordon also started slow, but he's reaching full fitness now. Combine that with Burn's form, Botman back, and two future England fullbacks in Hall and Livramento and you have some serious talent. Add a sprinkle of Howe's skills at improving players and getting the best oit of them and I see a club rising, not falling....or selling. Times that Newcastle were a stooge for the 'top' clubs is over. We're here to stay wor kid.
