You've made the right decision. My 05 is close to 450,000 miles. Original engine, transmission. 2nd Hybrid battery ($1000) at 250,000 miles. And nothing else but regular maintenance.
Bought a 05 with 200k miles for my 120 miles a day work commute and i now have 300k miles snd and the car hasn't ever had anything wrong with it. Upgraded and put in apple car play in going to drive it until the wheels fall off excellent car!
Just don't run outta gas. If you run out of ⛽ and cut it off and on more than 3 times, the engine will lock up and you won't be able to move it and will have to get it reprogrammed at the dealer for almost 200 dollars!
6 months to a year? I have a 2005 with like 400k something miles on it. Have not had any issues minus a catalytic converter replacement. Also have a Toyota Avalon and a New Mazda 6 but my Prius is by far the better car.

Is the seat moved down? I’m 6’2” and the seat is as back as it goes and my legs are not touching the wheel.
Got my 2005 Prius 5 years ago for 1800. Have had no problems over 400k miles. No issues.

Got my 08 with 394,000 original engine and transmission, no problems everything still works and I'm 6'1 and sit comfortable in it.

Used to have an 08 and sold it. Replaced it with a 2017 Prius prime. The cars are bulletproof!

Same of mine bought used in 2008. Changes battery in 2018 with almost 300.000 km. Now eats lot of oil, but still happy with it
I hated these too. Now I’m looking to get an old one soon, maybe next week. I’ll keep my V8s for fun though, but I’ll use this to commute.

These cars that are selling for $3-$4,000 are POSs. The ones that aren't POSs with over 220k miles are asking for $6,000+.

I love the Toyota Prius but the exterior is too ugly
The exterior is one of the things that allows this amazing vehicle to be as efficient as it is, if the exterior is functional that's all that matters.
Ugliest appearance but as long as it functions well, who cares, you can also probably get a good price as not many people like to buy it.
