hi! om-D@ck, as awesome your interpretation is, there's a key moment you're missing. At 1:56 while playing Ab in your left hand, your right hand goes for Eb in the melody, this is a Perfect 5th, a natural pleasant sound. However, the original version of the song uses D instead of Eb, creating an Augmented 4th, a much less consonant sound. That specific tension is known as Diabulus in Musica, and I admire it's use in this part of the song, when the choirs sing "ai ga fusei" ( = "love is a sin" )
originaly i'v came looking the ost with the same music. the one who played as the last soundtrack in Evangelion series, episode 26 (congratiolations from everyone around) but here i found it by hand of artist i don't care it's not the very original. thanks for playing piano so beautifully
@TheAwesomejosiah Music like this really isn't very far out of one's reach. It's just mechanical repetition to get the notes right, primarily. The hardest thing is tone/peddling/dynamics etc, which is where the years of practice come in. Just playing the notes and getting the timing right isn't really as hard as you clearly think, and you shouldn't sell yourself short, especially for a song like this.
You kind of wonder why this has 6 dislikes. Like...what else to they want out of this video for them to approve? "DUH, ders not enough piano playing in dis video." Like, it's exactly what the title suggests. I always wonder about crap like that.
