I remember Prescott being asked on 'Have I got news for you' some years later, what Tony Blair had to say about it in private. Prescott responded, "I just told Tony I did what he asked me to. He told me to connect with the electorate, and I did!" 😅😅
How the Telegraph has gone downhill. Although they're entitled to lean Conservative, the Expenses Scandal was impartial as MP's from multiple parties were exposed (the moat claim being my personal favourite), but supporting policies that would risk breaking international law in more recent times, that's not so good
Just knew the duck house would come up! He was Peter Viggers, the MP for my town, Gosport, for 36 years - nobody saw him once around town, nobody had ever spoken to him, nobody recalled him ever doing anything other than sitting on the backbenches of the Commons stony-faced...I mean at least Caroline Dinenage has career ambition!
Traingate. When observing the full CCTV, and not carefully chosen stills, it was obvious that ALL the seats were occupied. You don't see childen or small adults as the seat backs were too high, but when they stood to reach something from a back overhead, left the seat to visit the toilet, stretched or otherwise moved, you can see the seats are occupied.
Here in Spain we have some of the most awful, disloyal, incompetent, lazy, dishonest, selfish, inept, shitty, wasteful politicians and it just burns my balls. But I look at the UK and think perhaps it could be worse.
Why is everything called something “gate”! It is utterly stupid that all scandals now have to have “gate” at the end as some of them don’t even sound right with gate on the end.
"The Mound" being London's biggest embarrassment? What about Boris Johnson's "Garden Bridge"? I'm not saying it should have been built, but the fact that millions if not billions were spent on a bridge that never even got built is galling
As for the train issue with Corbyn - there were more videos released that showed the seats weren't empty, but the angle of the camera wasn't showing all the people who were actually in the seats. So fed up of people lying to try and stop good people getting on in politics.
First one-Was more disastrous for the journalists alleging this as their allegations were comprehensively disproven within 24 hours. Second one-pretty bad, wouldn't say Hancock was the most inept Health Secretary ever though, he did set up a very successful vaccine programme. Third one-yeah this was a shocker. Fourth one-erm, this one isn't a PR disaster at all... Fifth-wouldn't call it a PR disaster, more just sheer political incompetence. Also, the agreement was never popular. The SNP would have been wiped out even if the agreement still existed. Sixth-yeah this wasn't great, but hardly damaged Corbyn, he was at his most popular just weeks later. Seventh-this was unfortunate, and Wragg should have resigned immediately over it. Eighth-probably one of the worst Labour gaffes ever. Ninth-was actually more damaging than people gave it credit, technically they did nothing illegal but looked extremely bad. Tenth-not really a scandal, but definitely a stunning PR disaster. Eleventh-this one was just funny. Twelfth-this was the beginning of the end of May's 2017 election campaign. Thirteenth-the funniest moment in British political history. Fourteenth-this one could have spiralled, but we can never know if this actually happened. Fifteenth-this wasn't really a political scandal, and putting it above the expenses scandal is just silly. Sixteenth-yeah this wasn't May's best idea. Seventeenth-Miliband has never gotten away from this. Eighteenth-Although this story was exaggerated and lots of details were made up, the core of it was very damaging, not so much to the government as a whole, but certainly to Cummings personally. Nineteenth-Labour's 2010 election campaign was actually going alright until this point, this incident absolutely terminated it. Twentieth-To say this was the biggest PR disaster in British political history is just daft. Yeah it wasn't great for Cameron, but it didn't really dent his popularity, and the fact there were no sources for it and Ashcroft was resentful that Cameron never appointed him to Cabinet just show it was all sour grapes.
During the last Labour government Jacqui Smith was Home Secretary and during her tenure there she sent out a memo to police forces in the North of England advising them that victims of Pakistani grooming gangs had "made an informed choice" and therefore it was "not for you police to get involved with". Fast forward 14 disastrous Tory years and we have Keir Starmer handing her a place in the House of Lords in order that he can give her a position in his government - Minister of State for Skills. This should be a PR disaster but because the esteemed members of the British press are almost all left-wing Labourites no-one has bothered to bring it up. Strangely no-one else has either, not the official opposition nor the apparent "representatives of the people" in Farage's Reform party.

Partygate
Rishi Sunak not having Sky when he was a boy was a PR disaster indeed
But truly, a tragic childhood for the richest PM ever!😂
He did have Sky, there are photos to prove it! Never ever trust anything a Tory says!!!
Oh man John Prescott flooring that guy egging him was gold. Perfect example of why you dont mess with a former boxer. 😂
He didn’t punch him because of the egg. He punched him because of that heinous mullet! 👊🏻

No Partygate? Really?
This should literally be #1
BUT TRAIN GATE!
TBF that was beyond a PR disaster 😂
That toppled an entire government! That’s more than a PR disaster haha
This video is so pro-Tory it's outrageous.
Dominic press conference always reminds me of the Little Britain sketch of David walliams being an MP and losing his wristwatch in the public toilet.
What about the postmasters who went to jail for stealing funds when it turned out that it was the government contractor's financial error?
This video is trying hard to downplay Tory scandals.
@@davidhoward4715 Horizon was not just the Tories, Teflon Tony signed it off so let's not forget his part.
The Ed Milliband photo controversy is stupid and should be an example of how sometimes those who vote and the media are not so smart.
The makers of this video are Tories who have looked desperately to find a Labour "scandal".
There could've been a hundred more, but for some reason scandals don't hit so hard any more. Our politicians have lost all shame.
No, not all politicians. TORY politicians have lost all shame.
Boris on the piss in Italy with an ex KGB agent and his son unattended.

The Mound looks like one of those ancient burial hills
Sounds like one too lol
So "The Thick Of It" is based on real events! Nice!
If Dara O'Briain calls a scandal "the end of comedy" then it's gotta be number one.

Why was Partygate not on this list?
Fields of wheat is super tame
And I thought American politicians were wackos. I guess we learned it from our English cousins. Long live democracy. Warts and all.

What other company could go through so much SH*T and still be in business?
I'm guessing then Watch Mojo UK think Partygate was all above board, legit and didn't break the rules the Tories made everyone else adhere to.
Why is everything called something “gate”! It is utterly stupid that all scandals now have to have “gate” at the end as some of them don’t even sound right with gate on the end.
As always we can blame our pathetic press/media for importing this from US, Watergate , which made sense.
It came from Watergate in the 1970s. After that scandal, it became a 'thing' to add -gate to the end of things that were scandalous.
Or loo is another favourite one.
It’s done with tongue in cheek.
