Does anyone have any tips on how to calm my cat down in the stroller? I just went on our first walk. Disaster struck before I took ten steps. He had a harness on and I attached the leash from the stroller onto him. He jumped out of the stroller which tipped and he got out of his harness (my fault). So we both freaked out and I'm afraid we are both a bit traumatized. I hope that we will one day make the stroller work. Does anyone have any tips. More specifically, what I should do next?
My cat got out of little hole. I used duct tape to cover holes from inside. Sounds tacky and drastic, but when out on walks it's rather stressful to have them jump out. Over all love it!
Oh that’s a great idea I should’ve just kept it and done that lol dammit. I was thinking of sewing it shot but then you wouldn’t be able to close the stroller

I'd be worried a cat could scratch at the meshing to get out if they really wanted to, a cat of mine once ripped apart the back seating of my Brothers car as he wasn't happy ( he wasn't happy in the cat carrier so they let him out thinking he'd be okay) , so if they can do that then this meshing doesn't seem that strong to me ?
It looks like cat-proof mesh to me -- basically a stronger/thicker mesh that is very difficult for cats to get through unless there's already a tear in it.
Mine got scared and pushed at the tiny hole at the zipper in the back and eventually got it to unzip. In the house thankfully but now I'm concerned about taking her out.

The cats could get out through that hole. I have 2 that have never been out except on my small balcony. I wonder why they leave that gap there? I don't have a halter. And what are the wheels like? Could it go on bumpy terrain? I want to take them in woods for walk
G'day mate I've just started looking into stroller, funny yours was the first clip I watched, next clip I went to was Cat Reviews channel, she has a light purple colour, the gap you speak of on the side, there are little velcro straps under it to put around the poles, so same as ya inside strap you found😂there under the flap, have an awesome day all the way from New Zealand Question, can two cats fit in, I'll get extra harness, I was glad when I saw 2 straps to hold. Alot of these strollers have a waterproof pad, like the kind that come with diaper bags for changing babies. But if you're not feeling secure about that, you can always put in puppy training liners. Personally, I've trained my cat to hold her pee when we go for leash walks or stroller walks. If she's really desperate, she'll let me know. I'll ask, "you wanna go home? " and if she wails intently then I know it's urgent that we get back. Usually it turns out she got tired and wanted to go back home to take a nap, or she built up an appetite & needs to eat.
oh no poor poof! idk if youve tried this or not but maybe try setting it up in the living room for awhile and just let him check it out on his own in a no pressure situation. I'm sure he's just nervous but im guessing he will get curious after awhile!

Any tips on keeping him calm? my guy is a bit skittish, i'm afraid he's gonna wig out and i don't wanna put him thru unnecessary stress. was it hard to get him to go in there at first? i have a feeling mine is gonna try to jump out ...
I think my biggest tip would be to unbox it in your house so he can watch and then just leave it sitting in the room so he can check it out. My little poof was curious and ended up jumping into it on his own through the opening in the back. Then once he's comfortable with it's existence maybe push him around in it inside so you can get a feel for his stress level, then when you're ready to go outside just try short walks so he doesn't get overwhelmed. Hope that helps!
I’m a crazy cat dad, I just recently passed my driving test so I bought my cat Coco (ginger girl) a pet booster seat, does the stroller fold down easily? As I would like to take her out for a walk, but keep her safe at the same time. And when we get to a nice bit of area let her stroll around for 5-10 mins. Also would be great to take her to the vets in if it folds easy.
congrats on your driving test! it folds down okay, there's definitely a learning curve to the button on the handle that makes it fold. if you get the same one i have you have to make sure that the entire button is completely pushed in or the stroller wont fold down but once you figure that out its easy peasy!

Hi I wondered if you could give me some advice. I have an indoor cat and have tried him with a harness on it's own. He absolutely hated it. Someone suggested that I try a cat stroller but after watching numerous videos on youtube, I see that the majority of people with cat strollers also have their cats on a harness. Is this essential that they have a harness attached? Like you say in your video, the strollers are very secure. Should I train him on the harness before introducing him to the stroller? I don't know what to do. Thank you
The harness just adds another layer of protection against your cat escaping somehow, since cats seem to be able to escape thru the smallest of openings! lol for me it would depend on which cat i put in the stroller, my big boy (21 pounds) could never escape but my little guy (11 pounds) could probably find a way out. if you are going to go the route of a stroller id practice with your cat inside first just to see how he reacts. if you have a fenced in backyard or patio maybe try that area next because the outdoor sounds will definitely make a cat more nervous. id feel awful if your fluff escaped so obviously a harness would be my number one recommendation but you have to do whats right for your little guy:)
I have a question: I've heard that any commercial place that processes food, in the U.S.A. (except cat cafe's where you can get food and adopt a cat) is illegal to take a cat into, how do you know which business's are acceptable? And does it matter if the cat is an emotional support animal or not?
Any place that doesn’t have fresh food or is labeled as a grocery store is usually okay. For example, hardware stores, pet stores, some book stores. Make sure you always look up the store rules before you go, just so you don’t get kicked out
What would you do if your cat needed the toilet because I really wanna buy a stroller for my cat but I’m nervous that she’s going to go to the toilet in there so like what do you do? ❤️❤️❤️
i dont think it will get too hot, id just operate under the assumption of, if its too hot outside for you its too hot for your cat, i dont take my floof out in the summer until after the sun goes down.
i dont usually have him strapped in because if its zipped closed he cant get out, id say it just depends on the size of your cat and how much of an escape artist they are lol

definitely, my cat is a bit of an escape artist so ive had to try out a couple different leashes but this "escape proof" body harness seems to work the best, though he has managed to back out of it once so definitely not perfect!
@@GabbiWarrick does he try to dash out the door after using the stroller cuz my cat does and my husband has told me to stop using it cuz she keeps doing it after using the stroller

I know this is an Old Post, we bought a cat playpen for recovery after surgery situation... she tore out of that thing in 10 minutes
