  • Here's a bunch of footage from my recent Revelstoke adventure. We rode quite a few amazing trails but the one that really stood out to me was called "Rowland's Revenge". It was rooty, rocky, and tough with beautiful scenery and views all the way through. This riding area is pretty amazing. I can't wait to go back!

    Looks like fun! Nice riding. The guy on the 4t looked super smooth, like all traction and zero roost.

    I flew into the NW'st to ride Hood River this last weekend. I thought it was a bunch of fun, but looking at your ride WOW. When you can actually tell that you are climbing a hill and see some of the difficulty (which never translates through the camera) it just blows my mind. Given that you are following a smooth tractable 4 stroke and you are on the pipe on your 2 stroke, it really shows how much you have improved over this last year alone. I am so impressed. Good job Meg! Always inspirational.

    I used to run the old '76 Husky 360 but I'd grown up on 125's. Was at our local MX practice track here, one of my riding buddies was stopped and watched me coming through this sand whooped sweeper. When I got back to the 'pits' he said to pop that thing up in to third and just hold it wide open. I did and the difference was amazing! Let those 250/300 2strokes pull you thru and you'll think your James Stewart (or Taddy Blazusiak!) I'm not...you've got talent Megan, you might just be competition for Taddy soon! Keep up the great riding and most of all, have fun!! : )'

    How would you compare this trail to something like 2058 at bear creek difficulty wise?

    • @megs_braap
      @megs_braap  8 років тому +1

      I would say it's probably a little tougher than 2058. Not by much but it's longer and has more roots and things to trip you up on. Plus that mini erzberg rock section is quite tough.

    listening to the Gasser, it sounds like it has a real hit mid or upper mid range. How are you transitioning from the 200 to the 250? The extra power is nice, but of course it can also tire you out in a longer ride or a race.

    • @megs_braap
      @megs_braap  8 років тому +1

      Yes the Gas Gas definitely hits hard in the mid range. The transition to this bike from the 200 xcw was a big jump. I found myself tiring out faster and even having trouble holding on sometimes. Now that I'm used to the power of the 250, I am absolutely loving it. The extra power actually makes a lot of things easier. Especially hill climbs.

  • @SUNDAYRIDES
    @SUNDAYRIDES 8 років тому +1

    you should really use the open or skeleton back door for your go pro it lets in the sound better , right now it sounds muffled . the go pro is very good at recognizing loud noises and tones them down as well , on rainy days i sandwich a piece of plastic between the back door and the case . this way it keeps the water out while still letting the sound in

    • @megs_braap
      @megs_braap  8 років тому +1

      Thanks for the tip! You're certainly right about the muffled sound. I'll keep that in mind for next time.

    • @megs_braap
      @megs_braap  7 років тому

      David Simon Hey David, thanks for the comment! I found that the Gas Gas felt a lot more stable and planted than the KTM. The chassis was also quit a bit smaller than that of the KTM so it was a lot more comfortable for me to ride. I felt comfortable on the bike right away.

    I don't have direct knowledge of this, but the Gasser was supposed to be a heavier bike than the KTMs and Betas. Did you notice that or was it fine?

    • @megs_braap
