Their not very threatening but papyrus is pretty tough having 20 atk and 20 def, and Martlet can throw out some pretty deadly hard to dodge attacks when she gets serious

@@ChaosKingFox Well we don't have a great timeline of when clover died to when frisk fell so I'm not sure but if it's within like 10-20 years it could very well be possible considering Marlet looks young and it's implied Undyne is currently a royal guard while clover is down.

I’m pretty sure those are actually supposed to be the lava rocks from her snowdin puzzles. Papyrus has the orb that is supposed to zap you during his electricity maze, but ends up zapping him instead.

this sounds like the battle theme for these two complaining about how the next puzzle will go, mid-battle they're arguing like "no no no, we need an ice melting puzzle!" "A GOOD PUZZLE DOESN'T NEED SUCH COMPLEXITY! ESPECIALLY DURING BATTLE" (they argued and forgot to attack this turn, but prepared a puzzle for next turn)
trying to spare papyrus first, he's happy to know you like spaghetti and martlet just quietly (wait they're... actually getting along, this isn't good, if we capture the human now, he's out of a friend...)
the opposite happening with papyrus if you talk to martlet and she starts to talk poorly of herself, "NEVER FEAR, I SEE GREAT POTENTIAL WITHIN BOTH OF YOU! i really like this !! at first, i was a little concerned because as GOOD as it sounds, i felt it sounded more like their themes were fighting and clashing against each other rather than fighting together, but then at the end it's just??? the most beautiful melody i have ever heard ??? it gives me the idea that maybe that's how the fight would work as well. at first, while they're fighting on the same side and are both full of good intentions, they're sort of uncoordinated and just not very much in sync with each other, resulting in attacks that are sloppy and hard to make sense of, but then they catch on and fight in harmony !! that'd be a really cool fight to see, not only for these characters, but just in general !

İ can imagine the first attack Being papyrus throwing small bones that slide across the ground but we are still red like the start of the papyrus battle while martlet is throwğng feathers when.a feather tuches a bone it it destroys eachother at the end of the turn

They could probably pull this off pretty well if I'm gonna be honest.
Both Papyrus and Martlet are very smart in their own ways, and very dumb in their own ways. But I feel like them teaming up together would make it cancel out and create the dumbasses to end all dumbassery and it would be fun.
Edit: I believe there is a difference between being stupid and being dumb. Yes, I know the words are synonyms, but to me they feel different. Martlet and Papyrus are not stupid. They are really damn smart. I think what I am looking towards as an example the most is Sokka, in the first few episodes I'd consider him stupid, but later on in the series for me he's dumb but certainly not stupid, man's a genius, but he is still dumb in my vague criteria. Dumb is more of a vibe for me.
If you add in Rouxls Kaard will it make the group smart again or even dumber?

What has Martlet done that can be called dumb?
I wouldn't call Martlet dumb. Easily distracted, naiive and indecisive for sure. But not dumb. I actually wouldn't call Paps dumb either. Some of the Neutral route ending dialogues from him shows he's quite a bit more aware than folks think he is, he's just too nice to say or do certain things. And stubborn.
But, these two would be both a headache and terrifying as a team. I could see them bringing out the best and the worst in each other. Imagine the nightmare puzzles. Imagine the dialogue heavy shenanigans. Imagine a serious boss fight.
This is underrated AF! I wonder what other mashups could work well..

I can only imagine a fangame spawning from this. I can also imagine Martlet literally throwing junk at papyrus every time papyrus says something that really doesn’t help them in the fight BECAUSE THEIR LIFE COULD END AT ANY MOMENT. I can also imagine papyrus being shocked that Martlet is a member of the royal guard or smth.
I feel like the Martlet throwing junk at Papyrus would only happen in Genocide. In Pacifist, she'd be more engaging.

I remember seeing and loving the WIP of this, and now I’m so happy it’s finished. I love how each melody dips in and out, it’s so smooth it sounds like the songs were always meant to be combined. You did an absolute incredible job on this!

Papyrus, kind and ignorant. He is WAY too forgiving of people and will believe in his killer to be a good person.
Martlet, she’s genuinely good at what she does but feels insecure of what power she holds. She’s kind and forgiving, but she can quickly drop the kindness to be a powerful rival. Hell, she’s smart enough to Retreat from near death.

[*Passing through the puzzle from the great papyrus and the Royal guard marlet fills you with determination and justice]

@@Jova_38 Especifically on a Pascifist where frisk just lands as clover is about to fight (and lose to) asgore, toriel finally calls him after all these years and explains to him that apparently theres another human and has the red soul, he explains that thats perfect as they needed a yellow and a red sould to open the barrier and now, if frisk gets over there, no more human deaths will have to occur, and lastly that, for now, clover can stay with martlet and maybe explore the route clover missed on
Edit: or clover can go with frisk and give them a bit of a helping hand on the travel, cuz two people negotiating a Pascifist result of a fight is faster than one
