Started my 1 year carpentry school yesterday at the age of 35, having gotten a lot of inspiration from this channel. Thanks!
So beautiful and well constructed.
inspirational.
I was fascinated by the wooden cross members inside the wall that were fixed by metal brackets, since I live in the Pacific Northwest of America, my assumption is that these additions were the result of regulated earthquake reinforcements. Also I can not help but wonder at the "cost" of this home, the quality of the materials, the size of the home, and the cost of Shoyan's work must make this a very expensive home in the US, in Japan it must be an VERY expensive home. Shoyan is more an "artisan" than a simple carpenter, these words have a distinction in English that may, or may not exist in Japanese. Thank you for sharing this.
Beautiful
Such beautiful work my new favorite channel can't stop watching.
Absolutely excellent. Loving the soy sauce color match! What you're calling a "joint board" would for us be a "spline."
I enjoy watching your skill and your efficiency. Very nice to see you do carpentry
This is becoming my new favourite channel. Amazing skill and attention to detail - and I really liked for the soy sauce tip!!
Wonderful!
Very enjoyable. As a 30 year professional Blacksmith I can appreciate the effort.
beautiful! I love your channel i look forward to every project.
very instructive video!
merci pour la vidéo !
excellent work and the quality of materials is beautiful.
That Material is very nice. In America it would cost alot of money.
You do wonderful work !
Thank you!
Beautiful job 😁👍
I’ve never seen that Makita grooving tool here in the US.
Soy sauce on dowel end-grain to get the colour right: true master.
I love the colours of the cedar wood it is beautiful the workman ship and attention to detail is second to none a master craftsman. Could I ask what make are your chisels and your tools you use as their is so many brands ( names ) 😀👍👍👍

Really great vide, can I ask what cutters you used in the circular saw. The grove seems wider than a normal blade thickness?
👍👍👍👍
Will the ceiling be finished with shikkui?
Shoyan have you got a new grooving saw? What model is that or are they special blades? Any information would be very helpful. As always excellent work👍❤️
Will be sharp to know !!
Looks like a Makita. Not sure the model
@@ericl6460 lol it’s blue and got Makita on the blue cover, so you could be right🤔🤣
What are lumber prices like in Japan?
Does anyone know the name of the measuring tool he is using at 8:02 and where you can get on in the US?
why is millwork installed before plaster?
how much do you think he would charge me to build a house like this in America on my land?
