@@jackmist I know. Poor guy. But hey, I think that's what makes him so lovable. He's the loser, and it makes you want to root for him.
Pit's honestly interesting as a character. He's an absolute verbal punching bag and the butt of every joke, but when it comes to the actual fighting, he's an absolute monster. Dude is a literal army of one who kills gods as a 9-to-5, and near single handedly repelled an alien invasion. Palutena just throws him at her problems and they all get solved. Everyone falls to this guy. Granted, Hades drops the act and honestly praises him for possibly being the strongest Nintendo character if you stick around after the credits. Pyrrhon also feels some sort of kinship with Pit, because he knows where he's coming from.
The fact that he's able to take all the verbal abuse and not waver is what won me over to the guy. In chapter 20, his enemy Hades is dissing him (as usual), his ally Viridi is dissing him (still not unusual), but the very goddess who he worships and is trying to save is verbally thrashing him and telling him he's a fool fighting for a lost cause. He's facing down a situation where he's probably going to have to kill the one he cares about most, nobody around him is offering any encouragement, and yet he fights on anyways and wins. Even then, when he finally saves Palutena, he nearly immediately throws his life away saving Pittoo.
Tl;dr Pit is gaming's most metal good boy.
@@browncow5210 I always think what makes a character badass is their ability to have all the odds stacked against them and still come out on top. The fact he's young, alliterate, not too bright and constantly getting mocked by everyone but still powers through everything really shows his determination. Plus, Dark Pit is essentially his frustrations towards the gods personified, showing he does have his issues with them, but can still work together with them when needs be. You really hit the nail on the head for why I love Pit's characterisation in this game.
With all the awesome songs in this game, I wouldn’t mind a “Volume 2” so we get a few more new songs.

1:50 is my FAVORITE part. That 5-part (or technically 4.5-part) harmony sounds SO GOOD!
Also if Thanatos wanted to sing, he could've sung "Farewell CRYYYYYY" at the end. Oh well, I'll be glad to sing it for him.
I think it's because Alex is voicing Hades in both voice and vocals, as well as mixed a clip of his own for Thanatos's little cut-in. But I agree: in character? He could've done his defeat line. Oh well, we got what we got, and it's absolutely beautiful.
It's the part that gets stuck in my head.
I just love how chaotic and fast paced it sounds, showing that all three parties involved (Palutena's army, the Forces of Nature, and the Underworld army) are all going in, kicking @$$, and taking power-ups! (If only us mortals could do the vocals normally... We'd need five people just to get close to it- Pit, Palutena, Viridi, Phosphora, and Hades!)

The themed weapons are supposed to give attacks similar to their respective bosses. Try the Phosphora Bow and maybe Lightweight for speed

It's a nod to the viewpoint that the forces of nature hold that Pit carries the darkness bow in this video......one might even argue that he is the villian.
I was (and still am to a certain extent) upset we didn't get Magnus' theme, boss fight 1, the war's end or anything Chaos Kin or aurem related but hearing them incorporate the lyrics from all the other songs all at once was too good. So was the banter. It feels completly in character. Besides, when the entire ost is so good it was inevitable some songs were going to be excluded.

Lightning Battle next to Boss battle one and Destroyed Skyworld, are my top three tracks in the game. The song was incredible. t's always nice to see Kid Icarus Uprising getting some love.
I wont lie. The only other song I would want to see them also cover, would have been Destroyed Skyworld. Having a Corrupt Palutena singing, only for pit to then sing about the good she's done and how he'll save her.
I really think that would be a decent banger and nice story beat song. Although, the ones they picked were better. Using Boss Battle 2 for a Medusa/Palutena 2 part song was really inspired.
This video is so well done not only is the voice acting on point but it's in the same style of writing as the game. The character voices are so on point that I forgot for a moment that this isn't how it really went down. You've knocked it out of the park MOTI and co

Uprising's kind-of-but-kind-of-not greek mythology was always neat to me.

@@13pointedstar64 Just someone who really likes their myths and history connected to them. And considering how almost everything in Uprising is inspired by actual mythology, meaning your experience of playing it actually improves the more you know, can’t say it’s a bad thing. I’d say Dark Pit’s existence is my favorite thing about this game that many don’t know is similar to an actual myth.
The myth goes that Ares and Aphrodite saw Eros one day and realized that not only was he lonely, but he was stuck as being a child. Ares and Aphrodite have this point already had four other children together, so they knew this wasn't normal and decided to fix it. As for what they did to do it, they just created a brother to be his playmate and named him Anteros (love requited). The kid was almost identical Eros, expect for the slightly longer hair and plumed butterfly wings. So now when there was two of them, Eros was no longer lonely and eventually grew up (maybe a bit too much in ‘Dite opinion considering how much effort she put on killing his wife and unborn daughter later on the line). The lesson here was that for any kind of love to prosper, it had to be answered - as for why Anteros was known as the avenger of unrequited love.
The most unrealistic thing in Uprising regarding Greek mythology is Hades interacting with… Well, pretty much anyone. Guy’s pretty young historically speaking, Iliad being the first concrete evidence of him existing and being worshiped. This means he’s predated by the likes of Persephone, Hermes and Dionysus. Closest thing mythological Hades and any of Pit’s inspirations actually interacting is pregnant Psyche going to Underworld and asking little help from Persephone. XD
Well apparently it actually reversed persephone actually came before Hades because the proto Hades was actually Poseidon but there were still two demter and persephone est character if you want to learn more about that overly sarcastic productions did a video covering it
