After 30 years in this industry the best advice I can give any producer is don’t sign with anyone. Self release and learn to market your own music. The distribution was the obstacle and that’s no longer there.
Wonderful watch! Been a pleasure working with the Colorize/Enhanced Team for the last 2 years, and we are looking forward to the next ones! Adam is a killer A&R!
It would be great to hear from the artists (like @moderaproductions) who are working with a label. Curious to hear from their perspective how things work too!
Wow, I’ve been waiting for a long time and finally, this episode is out. You heard me, I asked you under the last video to break down the Enhanced label. Thank you so much and good luck.
How heart-warming it is that my favourite label has such humble & genuine people working there. I'm only at the beginning of my music making journey but my end goal is to one day get signed by these guys. Thanks for a great video, it was massively insightful!
I love that he talked about how important it is for The artists to be kind because I feel like labels are almost heartless in the sense of not giving a response, For years and years not putting your 80s in not putting your 90s in but give it ur full 100 percent in your music, that gives a feeling like ur not recognized and that image of labels is now fading away because those people from those labels are actually kind and nice People to. That gives hope and perspection again ❤️
Thank you Will and Adam. Great to see A&R's are as passionate about music as us producers. A brilliant insight into Colorize and packed with a wealth of info. This inspires us all to keep learning and never give up on our dreams.
Niceeeee. Adam in the interview, great episode as always Will! I love to release on Colorize, the label is very professional and I also love all the other releases! Colorize is one of my favorite labels so far! You get always a very professional feedback and the changes they suggest and ask for, always makes the record better.
Diversion was a big name within Enhanced / Colorize who i really loved the stuff of! A label i´ve always wanted to release on tbh. Being a hitter an Daniel Kandi´s AA label, its always nice to do something else more deeper being a trance producer myself! I love these videos Will btw!
I usually don't watch many interviews but I found this really interesting, Having had a bit of success with some labels myself and quite a few knockbacks it is interesting to hear what the A&R people do and look for.
I have been following you for so long, and thanks to your videos and your classes I would like you to know that they were not in vain. Because although I already have a song on Spotify but it was a remix contest that I won. I'm close to signing with a label. That's why I just have to say to you, thank you very much for helping me in my achievements, I wish you the best and that you also grow much more. EDM and you personally
Great interview! I love Enhance, they have to be the best out there. Just one thing, it's great all these tips but money is NEVER mentioned. I would love to know how artists get paid. Is it by royalties, one off payments? Do you get more money the better the track? Would love to know these answers.
Great interview and many useful hints , don’t get me wrong Will I like Estiva as producer, although its latest single is not the most original idea in the dance industry … I mean how many “ Fine Day” we’ve had in the last year ? 😅 said that thx for useful videos
Hey Will, I notice you don’t have any tutorials on Electro house. If you could do a tutorial on Electro house I think a lot of people would be thankful, I know I would. Thanks
How to get into the best labels? A lot of work, and tons, tons of lucky if from the other size accept your music! Not to mention the producers friends from top labels friends or famous djs and producers that work together and can produce a shit and that´s it... or you have to pay a lot to get into those "Top" labels! Experience is talking!
You have said in other videos that you cannot be very original and that you have to sound the same as others to fit in and he says that you have to be original, that is a contradiction
You can be as original as you like, but - the chances of you making something that sounds good before you’ve learned the skills through referencing other music is practically zero. Also, Adam used the term “authentic”, not original…and those don’t mean the same thing. In 100% of cases of people I’ve worked with, the successful ones have referenced other music to learn the skills, and their unique sound develops over time
Great watch! Colorize is one of the best labels.....hands down!
After 30 years in this industry the best advice I can give any producer is don’t sign with anyone. Self release and learn to market your own music. The distribution was the obstacle and that’s no longer there.
I am not sure if it’s the best advice for every producer out there .

Great interview, very encouraging. It's always good to hear what A&Rs like to see in an artist, thanks for doing these

That was a great interview, Will. Kind of "self-propelled".
Adam told so many important facts. Such a positive guy.
I totally agree, Ad. I absolutely enjoyed my conversation with him and hope others will listen to what he has to say!

Great shout! Any particular artists or tracks you're digging at the moment?
@@EDMTips Will, you could pick any one of them to be honest, surprise us brother. 💪🎹
Hey first of all thank for the good work I just wanna ask you if u can make a 2hollis type beat tutorial thank you
In regards to AI….artists just remember why you started making music which should be because you love making music. AI wont change that.
I agree. People still paint pictures, and we've had photos and graphics software for ages!
Fuck AI 😂
Great interview. Is age a criteria to getting music signed?
I don't think so. It is a criteria if you're after touring, I think, but not for getting signed.
This is the twenty first century. Who still actually wants to get signed?
You’ll be surprised!

Adam knows his stuff: as a producer and as an A&R manager too!

Nice one!
Why should we born in iran?😑
There is no should about these things... All we can do is to play the cars we've been dealt
@@EDMTips ok, i am emailing you to play with the card😅
cheers! Hope you enjoyed watching it! 🙂
