      Is it an "authentic" bad beat? No... but it's a pretty bad loss after what seems to be a really good chance to win at 71% on the flop.

      It’s a tournament. Tournament short-stack strategy is very different from cash game strategy.

      Playing online poker Ive had quad aces 2 times, had just 4 of a kind two more times, lost with a straight flush, then i have seen quads on the board by the turn 2 times, and just saw any other 4 of a kind another 3 times.
      Ive played 5000 hands. Do the math on the likely hood of that. Its rigged. Im not exaggerating at all, this is why I quit playing online.

      why the fuck would they rig it so that some people lose so much that they stop playing and therefore stop depositing money? sounds like a bad business model.

      ​@evrrrs exactly! People remember the bad beats when they're on the losing end, but conveniently ignore the situations when they do the outdrawing or make those special hands.
      People also have no idea about probability. I saw somebody get pocket Aces three hands on the trot. Looks weird as shit, but those kind of patterns will show up in the millions of hands of poker played every day.

      Yes, he can only win or draw, the other guy with AK can only draw, which means 0% for Victory. :)

      You're correct, but the %'s on the screen were wrong. Maybe the were factoring in other cards that were folded.

      In this poker A has the value 1, so 1 2 3 4 5 is a straight. Ace can be either 1 or the highest card.

      95% chance he loses the hand, 0% chance he wins, 5% chance one of remaining two 4s is the river making it a split

      The determination is made at the point that substantially all the money is committed. There is no "after the flop" here since all 5 cards are coming, the order is irrelevant.

    I placed 6th in a tournament last week ace clubs king diamonds vs ace hearts king of clubs all in pre flop from both of us 4 hearts on the board for the other guy giving him a flush only suit that could’ve done it to me 😂

      Moon had a straight. A2345 The ace can be used as the highest or lowest card in the deck. Andrew had a pair of aces. Straight is worth more than a pair of any cards.

    Is AKs really 51% equity pre flop against 44? Knew it was a flip but I thought 44 would be the slight favourite?

      They may have factored in dead cards. The less A's K's and clubs are dead, the higher the equity of the AK clubs is. But they really shouldn't show it that way.
