Even brand new engines have blow by. What you don’t want is excessive blow by. Bad blow by is most common to Diesel engines because of the higher compression. In bigger heavy Diesel engines we measure the blow by using a water manometer we don’t use a piece of paper because anything that comes out of the fill cap or breather tube can be deceiving that is why you need to get a pressure reading and compare it to specification. Once you determined that you have excessive crankcase pressure you have to find the source of it. It doesn’t always mean that you will have to re build the engine. Components like the turbo charger and air compressor could put excessive pressure to the crankcase and even incorrect oil level can raise your crankcase pressure too. Lastly decarboniser products don’t do anything for the DPF and EGR system.

Sir may Innova po ako 2013 second hand ko po nabili. Nakapag change oil, change filter and gas filter. Nag long drive ako sir about 250km pag alis ko ng deep stick sir may usok sir konte pero wala po tumatalsik na langis then after an hours nag start ulit then nawala din po sya chineck ko din po yung takip ng langis. Opening the oil cap to check if blowby ang isang makina is NOT a reliable way to check sa newer models and MODERN DIESELS. Why? Engines now operate at higher pressures compared sa mga D4-D/DI-D (kaya mas matulin ang newer engines) An example of this would be the All New Montero and Navara D23 (Calibre) wherein both models spit a little oil and smoke caused by the higher operating pressure which causes normal blowby, if you own a navara d23 or All new Montero you can go and see for yourself, even ask your local dealership about it! MORE POWER!

opening the oil filler cap di ibig sabihin e blowby agad. pwedeng faulty crankcase ventilation, mataas valve clearance, sobra ang langis. sa dip stick naman again kahit buksan yon at may talsik ng langis at air pressure, di ibig sabihin e blowby. unahin i-check muna ang pcv valve. kung may pcv valve na gamit ang engine mo, may tatalsik at tatalsik talagang langis diyan kung barado na ang pcv valve. kung hindi naman pcv, tatalsik pa rin ang langis kung sobra yung langis na nilagay mo. kung may breather tube naman yung engine mo at binuksan yung oil filler cap malamang tatalsik yung langis don kasi may air pressure. purpose ng breather tube is doon dadaan yung air preassure papuntang intake manifold or throttle body at ifefeed yon during intake stroke at magagamit pa rin sa combustion ng makina. kung may usok naman, dumadaan dapat yon sa crankcase ventilation, kung faulty na yon malamang diyan lalabas ang usok sa oil filler cap or dip stick. kaya hindi pa rin blowby. kahit bagong kotse may blowby.

Hindi ba normal ung tumalsik na konting langis dahil nandyan ung rocker arm? Ung usok at bumubulwak na langis un siguro ung significant sign na may blowby?
Try nio muna e check ang PCV valve baka barado na o sira na wla ng ma daanan ang pressure na galing sa crankcase kaya doon na lumalabas sa dipstick pag hugutin nio or sa oil filler cap pag binuksan nio wag kau muna mag decide na e overhaul ung makina.

Hello sir Rex. Salamat sa commendations mo. Sa tanong mo, me ginalaw ka ba sa alarm system? Kung wala, kaya ayaw mawala ang ilaw kasi malamang hindi marecognize ng system ang key fob mo. It is either sira ang key mo or low bat. Na -istart mo ba ung engine. Try putting your key into the ignition and lagay mo sa "on" position but dont crank the engine. Keep mo lang sa on for about 10 to 15 minutes. Kapag nawala na ang anti-theft light, off mo na ignition then leave it for 2 minutes. Start your car and see if the problem is ok. Pwede mo ring gamitin ang key mo sa door. Insert your key to the drivers side and turn it to unlock position pero huwag mo irelease, hold mo lng ung position na yan for 30 seconds para malaman ng system na right key ang hawak mo. Yung iba ginagawa, turn nila ung key nila pakaliwa at pakanan several times hanggang mawala ung light. Tell me if this works.

Sir for "overhaul" na kasi itong Crosswind ko po 2001 model 10yrs na sakin (2nd owner), may signs po like yan po mga sinabi niyo, pero ok pa po naman andar niya at nagagamit ko po po yun nga lang pag paakyat maputi asu (hehe..),pagbinirit din, sir after overhaul po ano po tamang pag brake in??? Hello sir Nick. Based from professionals sir, at first start, let the car idle for about 20 minutes until it reached operating temperatures. Rev the engine occasionally between 1500 to 3000 rpm. Try nio muna e check ang PCV valve baka barado na o sira na wla ng ma daanan ang pressure na galing sa crankcase kaya doon na lumalabas sa dipstick pag hugutin nio or sa oil filler cap pag binuksan nio wag kau muna mag decide na e overhaul ung makina.

Make sure that your engine hmis taking enough air - clean/replace air filter, intercooler, egr, throttle body, and intake manifold. Clean/replace fuel filter, SCV, and fuel injectors.

Sa tanong mo, me ginalaw ka ba sa alarm system? Kung wala, kaya ayaw mawala ang ilaw kasi malamang hindi marecognize ng system ang key fob mo. It is either sira ang key mo or low bat. Na -istart mo ba ung engine. Try putting your key into the ignition and lagay mo sa "on" position but dont crank the engine. Keep mo lang sa on for about 10 to 15 minutes. Kapag nawala na ang anti-theft light, off mo na ignition then leave it for 2 minutes. Start your car and see if the problem is ok.
Pwede mo ring gamitin ang key mo sa door. Insert your key to the drivers side and turn it to unlock position pero huwag mo irelease, hold mo lng ung position na yan for 30 seconds para malaman ng system na right key ang hawak mo. Yung iba ginagawa, turn nila ung key nila pakaliwa at pakanan several times hanggang mawala ung light.

Based from professionals sir, at first start, let the car idle for about 20 minutes until it reached operating temperatures. Rev the engine occasionally between 1500 to 3000 rpm. Then drive the car for no more than 50km. Tapos po check for leaks and everything.
