I guess our secret is out! 😅 Glad you enjoyed Oregon! The John Day has incredible bass fishing throughout the summer. There are some great flyfishing holes!
Gorgeous campsite! Food looks amazing.
Thank you.
Just love watching so relaxing wow what a view another great video!!!!!
Carol you should get one of those retro old time " weaved " " wicker creel baskets . And a cap that you put your favorite flys ( hooks ) on .
Just to make it more fun , for you and to look and feel the part ? ( Not sure I'm saying that right ) ( for nostalgia ). And to help remember witch flys work best in your favorite spots .
I haven't fly fished since I was a kid , so over 40 years but I loved it , mastering the cast is a lot of fun , it's all about putting it ( the fly ) wear you want it , exactly wear you want it , clear open streams or rivers are are fun and a good place to practice distance, but for me I had to go to small streams with lots of trees and other obstacles to learn to put it ( the fly ) wear I wanted it . Lost a lot of flys , even had to make super light weights because they are easier to make and cheaper and you don't care if you lose them .
When you can make it ( the fly ) go to a log , in fast moving water , so it sinks right under part of the log , at that point you can do almost anything , and catch almost everything , especially if you see it , or know it went their .
I gotta get out more , you two are a blessing for my life right now thank you .
Such beautiful country! WOW! What fantastic scenery! Would love to visit one day! On my Bucket List!
Love you guys come to Oregon! Born and raised in southern Oregon and it is Beautiful
Outstanding video and such beautiful views. God bless you and your family as you continue your adventures through Gods amazing creation.
My husband is from E.Oregon and it was a pleasure driving through those little towns with you I remember the first time going through Joseph, such beautiful country. Such a treat to see it all again.
That first riverside camping spot was screaming
F L Y F I S H I N G. So glad to see Carrol working that fly rod teaching herself. Great content, beautiful country.
Love all of your videos including Dan, Pete and Carol cooking! Only one small suggestion…..the sound quality inside the truck is hard to hear. Is this just me? I have tried on every device I own….phone, iPad and laptop.
No, it's not just you. The sound quality inside the truck was not good.
Not just you.
*editor note: A high pass filter to eminate the rumble might help 😀
We have mic’s that we will use from now on in the truck. Thanks for the feedback. ❤️
@@EFRT fantastic!
Awesome video as always EFRT. This was such an epic adventure and some truly incredible scenery. Thanks for letting us ride along with y’all on y’all’s adventures.
Appreciate you guys and what you do. Just happened to be at the expo as well last weekend. Love this part if the Great Northwest.
I can't tell you how blessed you guys are. I can tell you that I'm blessed to be able to watch your adventures. It's like we're there with you. Thank you so much!
We love having you along with us. 😊
Sometimes life just presents magical moments. Gives us a glimpse of Heaven. Thank you for sharing your moments with all of us 😘
Beautiful country in the video! Loved it!❤
Love this video! Even as an Oregonian i haven't been to many of the background areas of our state, so loved to get a glimpse through your eyes!
Loved" Lo, how a rose ere blooming".
I have one word for you guys, it “precious “. Thank you for sharing those adventures!
😊 thank you
I love that part of Oregon. I’m so glad you decided to check it out. It was great meeting you both at the expo. Thank you for being so open and kind.
It was so fun talking with you and sharing stories. Most of all loved hearing about your build and future plans. We have a feeling we will see you down the road or trail. 😊❤️
Love to watch your videos. You’ve done an amazing job over the years . Inspiring to say the least. I rarely comment on your videos due to mostly watching on our TV and just learned how to use my phone to comment on videos I’m watching on TV. Thank you for sharing you and your family’s life’s as much as you have.
Good Morning! When you were at the camp site right next to the river/crick that is one of my favorite things to do. Just listening the water trickling over the rocks and looking at all of God’s nature. So Thank You!!
I love what you two are doing and my wife and I are planning to go around the country. Not UA-cam but what you do. Part of me watching a campaign is what a camper does for sleeping and just at night. Do you watch TV or play a board games? We are missing this on your vediose
Well let you know!
Looks like a fantastic area to explore. Thanks for sharing!
Ahhhh, love when you're back in the PNW highlighting the beautiful scenery!
A few years back we camped at Wallowa Lake . Very nice area and stopped in the town of Joseph. Cool little town. Love your videos. Safe travels!
Thanks for sharing! Beautiful sites!
I absolutely love the little way you use the map. You guys did that up north also and i really like it. It helps with perspective. Great work.
"A River Runs Through It" was one of my favorite movies and one of the reason my wife and explored portions of Montana. We still choose to live in Washington State for its beauty but we just got back from visiting Kootenai Falls in Montana. Love the state. Heading to McCall Idaho in October for the Fall Colors which is just down the road from Joseph, Idaho. Been to Baker City on my way to visit one of our granddaughters who lives in Emmett, Idaho. Excellent video!!
Loved every minute of this video. One of your best to date. Love the empty nest edition.
Enjoy your video so much thank you for sharing
Glad you enjoyed it.
Thank you for playing that beautiful Christian song.
🙏🏻
Indeed it’s a beautiful old hymn.
Thank you for coming to pnw . It was like to meet you two in person we have been following your channel since day one of your journey thank you very much. Don and Donna from north idaho
We actually just moved from the coast to central Oregon. We love it out here. The fly fishing is amazing also
So glad you got to explore this part of Oregon which I call home now. My friend is a pastor in Joseph. You could spend months in almost any season exploring this region and still want for more. Thanks for sharing your journey. Long time viewer. Peace ☮️
I spied the EFRT Rossmonster at the Overland Expo PNW today. Safe travels.
Wow, wild Leghorn hens! Did you see anywhere close by that they where from. Wild critters would make short work of them. You guys get to see it all. Have fun and stay well.
Love the music.
Enjoyed your video of MT, ID, WA, OR. Kicking ourselves as we didn't know you were at expo -: we're just down the road in Sunriver. We were traveling and got home last night, so didn't make it to expo today, but would have enjoyed visiting!
And totally agree on the beauty of the Palouse in eastern WA, and all of that area this time of year with the green hills. Hope you got to see the bright yellow canola fields, too! We drove from Coeur d'Alene to Missoula last week, and further north on the return. Insanely beautiful.
Hope expo was a success.
We’ll be in Cody, WY the week ending 7/20. My 80 year old father-in-law has been fly fishing for 60 years and would love to teach you! C’mon down. ❤
Thank you! Wish we were still in the neighborhood. We would love to take you up on that. I bet there’s some good fishing in Wyoming.
Gorgeous country side!! Thanks for taking us along.
You’re so welcome.
Like that you draw on a map where you are and where you are going. Helps us better understand your travels
Love the map route inserts! Thank you for bringing us along 🤗🙏🇨🇦🇺🇸💐
Beautiful and appropriate music! Love watching your adventures! xo
Thanks so much! ❤️
You are likely already here in Oregon .. Rogue River (town) area is two hit 1-08 next week.. so fires are possible .. keep clean air.. we are here on the southern oregon coast area ..
❤❤❤❤ yup i'm doing this on my way east thanks for all you share a lover of stillness an beauty
My friends, I have watched your family grow up and enjoy years of travel life. I wish I had done the same but I chose to operate a tree service for 30 years. On that note, please use safety glasses when cutting with your chain saw. It could save your vision someday. Also, tighten that chain as when it’s too loose it poses a risk of jumping off the bar. That could lead to backlash from the chain and a seriously cut body part. Please be careful and enjoy the outdoors.
Love watching your travels, daily life. Thank you 😊
Thank you for watching 😊
Thank you for showing these historc lands I would love to see them one day in person ❤❤❤ loving this adventure with you two❤
Glad you enjoyed the video.
Ahhh, wow, I can understand sitting by the river and just watching the flow!
Love you opening remarks on your videos.
Beautiful area. So relaxing and thanks for sharing!
Hey guys, love your channel! Always uplifting with beautiful scenery! You just traveled through our area, Lewiston/Clarkston! So fun seeing you come down 95 and see the LC Valley spread out and the Snake and Clearwater rivers! Would love to have seen you and had a quick chat! 😊 If you come back this way, you'd certainly have a moochdock place to park up with water and electric! I'll make you a simple meal! 😅😅
Love your family, thanks for sharing!
Marilyn and Garry C.
What a beautiful state. Loved the fly fishing shots Carol and Pete, that breakfast looked so yummy. Thanks for sharing. Love and be safe!😘🤗🌼ve
❤️
I was born & raised in Oregon, so I especially enjoyed this episode ❤ thanks for sharing 😊
We spent 5 years in the Spokane cda area. Then 3 in Moscow and Pullman. Then 6 in lewiston, clarkston, asotin area. 1 year in Missoula and now the last 3 in Sandy, OR and every spot you visited we’ve been many times. Great seeing our many homes again in this 1 video.
Love your family and adventures. You are such an inspiration. ❤
Joseph is an absolutely gorgeous area with incredible history. And art colony I think. Beautiful area and the snake river through health canyon is amazing. I'll love seeing it through your eyes cause I haven't driven through it yet.
It's always fun to see you back on the road again. Safe travels guys from Athens Greece!!!
Thanks for watching it beautiful Greece 🇬🇷
Such a wonderful video to watch...loved the beautiful scenery and the peaceful and quiet feel.
Enjoy your videos with tours. Nature is so beautiful. Thank you for what you do.😇
I don't know about anyone else, but I would have liked to see the inside of the "Snake Pit".
That final drone shot-Wow!
You two are beautiful. Living best life.
❤️🙏🏻
Washington & Oregon are very beautiful watching tho your eyes. Great trip. Take care you two Carol looks very tired. Prob all wedding plans??
When I was a kid in the early 80's my uncle had a ranch in Enterprise. We spent some time in Joseph and swimming in Wallowa Lake. I would love to go back and spend a few days.
This Caribbean gal loves this!!! Thank you for sharing 😍.
🙏🏻❤️
I saw you on Sean's The Story Till Now, with a panel of maybe 10 speaking of youtube, content building, vehicles & travel - I believe in Bend OR. You are much more articulate & experienced than the bulk of that group. The setting, tone, solace, stories & beauty you share on your videos is a reminder you (both) are in a different 'reality' & world than most (not all) of the others. Keep it up, best to your collective family & safe travel.
Wow! Wow! Wow! Season 9 and I just came upon your channel someone mention in a comment on VanLife Plus’s channel. I have missed a lot obviously on your families adventures and growth, so I have some catching up to do. Your story telling and camera work are awesome. Looking forward to seeing what’s coming and will be busy looking back to get to know you more. Peace and Calm. 👍🏻😎🇨🇦
Looks like you guys are having a great time. Carolyn and I always have our morning coffees with our Sunday epic family road trip publication 🙏
Epic! ❤❤
What a wonderful road trip! Great adventure!
Thanks friend.
Did you see Wallowa Lake at Joseph? I didn't see it in your video. We live here in Eastern Oregon. You captured it well. Kimberly, OR is one of my favorites. Too bad so much of what you just drove through is on fire now. It's good you saw it before.
In my wife's and my 43 years of RVing experience, we've found whenever refilling water from any source, you should thoroughly soak the source hydrant and all around area with sprayed rubbing alcohol and let it stand for 10 to 15 minutes before connecting up to a hose equipped with a sediment, charcoal and silver enfused ceramic filters. Always treat every water source as though it is highly dirty, tastes terrible and is infested with every known "hot trots" bug known to man? More time "out there" in the open than "in there" in an emergency room or longterm recovery medical facility?
Good afternoon from Miami love your content for many years is my Sunday National Geographic channel! I wonder you have extra fuel onboard just in case. Have a great week and thanks for sharing your channel.
Cour de lane , Idaho. I have been to with my Uncle David and Aunt Isabell to see my grandmother in Seattle, Washington . I was her surprise she didn't know I was coming . A lot has changed. I can't wait to make our adventure trip. You both have inspired me. Thank you
Great video!
Thank you.
Awesome adventure, thanks for the breathtaking views!
Love your videos, I have a suggestion to make; if you tell us how beautiful the canyon or the mountains are, I suggest you focus the camera on it instead on you.
Thank you for sharing this beautiful adventure you are experiencing.
Beautiful videos and heavenly scenery! Scared , better grab the bear spray, cluck, cluck, cluck. That was hilarious!
Who would have thought chickens?😆❤
The Rossmonster seems like the perfect home for yalls comfort and travels.
Was so nice to meet you both again at Expo PNW this weekend! Really quite special to watch you discover some of the lesser known parts of Oregon that we have come to love. Truly breathtaking in the Wallows and John Day region. Not sure where your trip will take you next but you should totally checkout the Fort Rock and Christmas Valley areas south east of Bend when you have a chance. If you want specific tips we’d love to help! Cheers - Dylan & Tessa
6/30/24 - Good Sunday morning from Charleston.SC-- WOW !! The video was fabulous ! Beautiful scenery ! One of my favorite videos of all time!
One of my good friends made the trip down to the Oregon overland expo. Red hummer with RTT
My daughter lives out near Missoula and tells me about all the beauty there. It's nice to see more from your point of view as well. Thank you for sharing. I'm on the east coast deep in the mountains of Pa
Good morning .
What a outstanding location to camp speech less to describe the beautiful nature very perfect food to eat have a great time ❤😊. Missing Lando very much.
So beautiful! Loved it.
John day is awesome. I love it there. I also stumbled on it on my way home from my sons house in Washington
Every camper needs to stop and get a pizza in John Day.
We must go in that route! Joseph (JK) and me! Kim(berly)! Next time for sure! Beautiful!!
Hear in the UK i am following you on a map. Found Idaho and snake river. . Though my map will not be as good as yours. Found Joseph. You talk about a days drive . In one day i can get from on end of the UK to the other I expect you can use river water for most things.
You were on the Grand Ronde River in SE Washington State. Beautiful rugged country deeply divided by great rivers...
Welcome to my neck of the woods. There is a lot more to see than what you saw. It is beautiful near Joseph but that is a small part of the beauty. I would love to show you all how to fly fish. Come back and I will spend some time getting you set.
Really glad to see you guys in my neck of the woods. But I have to tell you…if you guys come out this way again, check out Hwy 95in Idaho along the Idaho/Oregon border, and view Hells Canyon from the Idaho side. It’s such a beautiful drive and unknown part of Idaho. Safe travels.
Hello from Azerbaijan :)
Thanks for watching Azerbaijan 🇦🇿
Very good stuff exclamation point yes, we want more fishing that could bring it to another level on your empty nest Edition. Pulling for Carol to nail one soon🐠
Grand Rising Epic Family! Safe journey!
Very beautiful video every time you are making, why don't you visit to Pakistan, if you like to come I'll show you many beautiful places and you can enjoy very different cuisine and traditional food as you never taste before
31:01 What a beautiful sight to see let alone experience Gods place called earth. Thank you for sharing much love ❤️
Great videos. Where is Lando ? We enjoyed watching him we have GSP’s also.
Lando is back at the Cabin with Dan and Pete. Yes we miss him, but he having a blast.
Actually it looks like you are not letting the line extend all the way before coming forward. I'm still practicing to get the feel. If you can roll the tippet softly you have a much better chance of not spooking the fish. It's not easy especially for someone like me who bass fished all my life.
Thank you for the tip. Presentation with fly casting is key I am learning. I am practising as much as I can.. Excited to learn.
Beautiful and Stunning scenery Guys. Thank You for Another Epic Episode.
