Yeah the German makers knocked out Spanish Montana which was fucked up. Spanish Montana is way better. Better quality and real writers know the difference. Sadly Spanish Montana wasn’t able to get the word out fast enough that their product was being pirated until it was too late. Technically there isn’t 2 monatanas there’s only one Spanish Montana the OG and fake off brand Montana Cans by the dirty Germans who stole from the OG. If you ever used a OG Spanish can from the mid 90s-2001 you know the difference is night n day. Sure, you can say paint is paint but if you know or used shitty paint you know that paint isn’t just paint. Time was German Montana’s ally in this case because new writers means new business and customers who don’t know the difference and there isn’t shelf space online so you don’t see the difference until you get a can of each. It would make for a nice video to do comparison but in my elderly opinion, there is a difference and there’s only ONE Montana.

I don’t really care what others think because it’s all about individual experience and preference. I’ve been painting 20 years and never had problems with Spanish Montana. Montana Colors / Spanish Montana IS THE ORIGINAL! And they were the first to develop and produce spray paint specifically for graffiti. My biggest criticism for Montana Cans / German Montana is using the name MONTANA and create a beef out of it. To the extent they even patented the name. But German Montana still produced good paint and provided competition against Montana Colors. Now, there are various companies producing artist quality paints but both Montana Colors and Montana Cans still produce the best.
Yeah, everything is true! I remember Mtn Hardcore dopesick cans with awesome high pressure valve. Mtn94 is also a legend with pretty candy flavour! But montana black was also cool with stock yellow banana cap - clean outlines guaranteed!
@@MuralGraffitis I like MTN/Montana, Belton Molotow (real excellent spraypaint but this brand is rare for our place). Other brands too hard to find (ironlak, clash, krylon). More cheap but good spraypaints in our graffiti markets are Trane and Arton.

Montana Hardcore used to be available here in the 90's and early 00's but they aren't available anymore because of the high cost of purchase from the wholesaler. A damn shame because Hardcore was my introduction to paint made for graffiti, I even remember the first colour I ever tried: poison green. Only paint available here is Montana Gold/Black, Molotow Premium, Flame Blue/Orange, Loop, Ironlak and DANG, and that's it. Montana Gold is wayyy too expensive here, mixes horribly with other paint and just isn't worth it. Only way to get Montana Hardcore or 94 is from the USA and it's again, wayyy too expensive and not worth it, which sucks because I really want to try 94. I only really use Loop and DANG now.
@MuralGraffitis video was nice and detailed. Hardcores are a good can but blacks not being a gloss have alot more surfaces to cover better on and they hold up longer
The story is definitely not complete, you should talk about how the original factory not far from Barcelona has been criminally burned after Jordi refused to sell his growing company to a German old school spray paint brand
