Good guide, but I Didn T find the only answer I was here for... How to enable a boss icon for instance bosses?? I Don t need rare or elite icon, world boss icon don t work... I only need a good boss icon for instance and raid, like you can set in threat plate or tidy plates, I prefer plater, but I think it s impossible for the most complete plates addon to lack something so basic... On indicators there is not that option... I repeat I Don t need the elite and rare icon, and however i think it S ridiculous the only icon you can set for elite is an horrible star in mega square pixels at Gameboy (not advance) definition, but for boss icon it S different, I like it... Is there something I Don T know, or maybe it needs to be integrated with another addon?

I want to SEE the health bars of PEOPLE IN MY GROUP but ONLY WHEN THEY ARE MISSING HEALTH. As a healer, this helps me know where to drop aoe heals. Plater does NOT seem to do this. It has options that would make you THINK it does this, but they DO NOT WORK. Friendly health bars are either always on no matter the health status, which is a fluster cluck, or they are always OFF which is useless.
I can't use your provided import text from your website to import into my plater. when i try i get this message: "Could not decompress the data. The text pasted does not appear to be a serialized Plater profile. Try copying the import string again." Any idea?

Great guide (as always). One suggestion, given the number of fights that require healers to target and heal NPCs (Fyrakk, Larodar, Chromie, M+ afflicted) it would be awesome to have a bit more guidance on friendly NPC setup for healers. Maybe a short video to the side? ;-)
Hey great video gz I wanted to ask if there’s a way to track 1 of your spells CD let’s say hammer of justice just above or next to the enemy’s health bar which is above his head Just like it tracks your rebuffs on them, thx a lot
i watched entire video, tuned up a lot of things, but i have problem with buffs tab. no mater where i put it, top or bottom. for some reason, on enemies, the buff sits exactly on top of health bar (set for top) but on friendly, it sits like an inch above. same preset/offset. i need it to be static for both, not change off set based on friendly/enemy target. how the hell do i do that?

How do I make all nameplates be same size? The one I'm targeting is always bigger and the non-targeted ones are smaller. Edit: Something happened and all the scaling of everything got messed up. Everything is super tiny now and I don't know why it happened.
Does Plater have a large Impact on FPS/Performance? I have a modest system with only a handful of addons but I know WoW in itself isnt optimized very well in terms of distributing resources. I have since moved from KUI > TP > Plater and would like to keep the addon as lightweight as possible if it can drop frames in large M+ pulls.
Thanks for the video. I don't know if I missed it, but where can I add threat colors to my and my group's nameplates? I am using your Plater setup, but I am not getting a threat indicator on my nameplate or any of my group members. I really appreciate any help you can provide.
I have an issue I can't find out : In murozon's rise I can't see Morchie's clones nameplates (nor the icon indeed 😢 so you get my trouble). I use bigwigs, and firstly thought it was the root cause (I checked the settings, they were fine for morchie), I tried DBM, didn't change a thing, checked my WeakAuras as well, nothing there suspicious. So I think this is something in my plater profile, but I can't just figure out you enable / disable nameplates for Morchie's clones. All other nameplates are OK, I tried various combinations with friendly NPC nameplates enable/disable, didn't change a thing. It's really driving me crazy for my other guildies use the same config as I do, and they don't have any pb. Please help me guys 😢

I've imported your profile for season 2, when I was playing tank. Now I play dps and I'm using another plater profile, I even deleted yours. But somehow your voice package is still enabled. I'm hearing announcements for my tank (like: frontal, defensive, ..). How do I completely remove your sound package without redownloading plater altogether?? Thanks!
@@quaziiwow im sorry to keep bothering you with this but I can’t find the dungeons the disable the sounds. After playing a bit more the sounds are mostly fine. It’s only the tank (frontal, defensive, .. ) sounds. As a dps I don’t want to hear ‘definsive’ when it’s a tank buster ofc.
How are you able to click on the interface options in general tab. Mine wont let me and it says CVar saved within plater profile and restored when loading the profile. What does this mean?

Yo Quazii! Is there a way to change the size/visibility of nameplates based on exact mob or mob type? For one of my farms, there are non-elites and I am trying to have them not show up, or be much smaller than the elite mobs.
hey, i'm playing classic, and i cant figure out how to show enemies shields with a timer, like mana shield, priest shield, pala bubble etc... i've been trying really hard, but i cant figure out how to show them with the timer.

im trying to show resource on nameplates [using plater] and i turns resources on. but the combo point indicator is not showing up above my nameplate. I dont see a button to simulate it. Im using a dummy just like you. I want it for bosses that have full energy mechanics. i dont want to do a mythic and then have the resources overlapping the hp. i also am trying to figure out how to space the stacking nameplates so they don't cover the mob. I dunno how you figure all this stuff out. been working on this for hours

I hope someone can help me here cuz I can't find the answer anywhere. I've tried a lot of different things and nothing is working. The problem is friendly players health bar is turning black when they are in combat. When I target them the health bar is green. Everything else I have set in plater is working fine. How can I keep their health bar green when they are in combat but not targeted?
Do you know if i can blacklist certain unimportant mobs in dungeons? Some of the tiny mobs that just clutter my nameplates and make me miss the target i want to select.

I have a question about when you're in tight areas or you have your camera facing towards the ground from above. i find the nameplates start overlapping more and it can become hard to see the mobs sometimes. I have tried spacing them out more and adjusting some stuff in advancedinterfaceoption but nothing really changes. i might of missed it in this video but is there any plater settings to help with that?

Awesome video as always! I would just like to know can we change a color of a nameplate of the mob that has certain dot on it? For example as a warlock i need to apply doom brand on different targets... when there are many mobs it's hard to see which mob has it and which doesn't... it would be helpful to change the color of a plate that is affected by a spell and to return to its base color when doom brand expires... is it possible?
First of all I would like to say your the best WOW content provider out there! That is why I am reaching out to you. I could use your help! In additon to having my dots tracked on the Plates of the Mobs, Plater has also DOT Timers that show the icons of all my DOTS with their expiration timers. I use your plater profile and want to move my DOTs Corrupt UA Agony etc to a differnt postion on my screen. I have not figured out where to do this in Plater. If you dont understand what I am talking about I can provide more information. Kind of hard to explain. I hope you can help me.
Hi, thanks for all your hard work. I'm trying to change the view distance of the name plates for mobs, but it won't let me go beyond 20. I type in 40 but it reverts back to 20. This was the only thing I wanted to change from your import string from your site (Classic, SoD). I've checked the section in the video, and it seems like 20 is the max distance. Really? that seems too close for a caster.
Running this profile on 17 keys right now and did the same on S3! Its very good but there are some mistakes in the bars. RLP 1st boss for instance has a kickable cast (important one) and the bar isn't like it supposed to be. There some more mistakes on colour and kickable adds. can write them down for ya but new expansion almost there. Thank for all the hardwork an I love it ;)

love your videos! not sure if you'll see this or maybe someone else can explain. is there a way to have all the custom colors mobs (casters/frontals) be the default red or the "not engaged" color when not engaged and then turn to their custom colors when engaged? now all casters are always fuchsia if engaged or not. I changed transparency for out of range targets which helps but a uniform color setting for all not engaged targets would be great. I know this is a very niche request but it would help my dps ranged (hunter!) friends with avoiding ninja pulls.

Under the "Enemy NPC" tab. You'll need to adjust 2 settings. The first is called "NPC Name Text," change the anchor to Inner Left if you want it like he has it in the video. The other setting is for where to show the health %. This is under "Health Information," change the anchor to Inner Right (or wherever else you want it).
Is there a setup you have for Plater SOD that you have that shows dispellable debuffs or what is most important to kick? I'm new at it but doesn't seem to have any in your copy paste unless I'm looking at it wrong.
Thanks so much, this helped a ton. The only question I have is, is there a way to "force" certain debuffs to be displayed first in order from left to right regardless of time remaining? For instance, with assassination rogue, is there a way to always show garrote and rupture first, instead of having all the icons jump around when kingsbane or deathmark or shiv or other important debuffs reach a lower timer than them? Considering you refresh garrote and rupture between 4-6 seconds, any debuffs that you let fall off or get lower than 4 seconds just bump them around.
@Quazii, I play Wow SoD. What I noticed that the nameplates of players and enemy distance view is way shorter than original. It is for me quite annoying and I dont know how to solve this
ah thats a server side limitation - blizz limited nameplates range in classic, i covered it in the masterclass video actually (: nothing we can do about it.

I want to SEE the health bars of PEOPLE IN MY GROUP but ONLY WHEN THEY ARE MISSING HEALTH. As a healer, this helps me know where to drop aoe heals. Plater does NOT seem to do this. It has options that would make you THINK it does this, but they DO NOT WORK. Friendly health bars are either always on no matter the health status, which is a fluster cluck, or they are always OFF which is useless.
I can't use your provided import text from your website to import into my plater. when i try i get this message:
"Could not decompress the data. The text pasted does not appear to be a serialized Plater profile.
Try copying the import string again."

Great guide (as always). One suggestion, given the number of fights that require healers to target and heal NPCs (Fyrakk, Larodar, Chromie, M+ afflicted) it would be awesome to have a bit more guidance on friendly NPC setup for healers. Maybe a short video to the side? ;-)

i watched entire video, tuned up a lot of things, but i have problem with buffs tab. no mater where i put it, top or bottom. for some reason, on enemies, the buff sits exactly on top of health bar (set for top) but on friendly, it sits like an inch above. same preset/offset. i need it to be static for both, not change off set based on friendly/enemy target. how the hell do i do that?

How do I make all nameplates be same size? The one I'm targeting is always bigger and the non-targeted ones are smaller.
Edit: Something happened and all the scaling of everything got messed up. Everything is super tiny now and I don't know why it happened.
Does Plater have a large Impact on FPS/Performance? I have a modest system with only a handful of addons but I know WoW in itself isnt optimized very well in terms of distributing resources. I have since moved from KUI > TP > Plater and would like to keep the addon as lightweight as possible if it can drop frames in large M+ pulls.
Thanks for the video. I don't know if I missed it, but where can I add threat colors to my and my group's nameplates? I am using your Plater setup, but I am not getting a threat indicator on my nameplate or any of my group members. I really appreciate any help you can provide.
I have an issue I can't find out : In murozon's rise I can't see Morchie's clones nameplates (nor the icon indeed 😢 so you get my trouble).
I use bigwigs, and firstly thought it was the root cause (I checked the settings, they were fine for morchie),
I tried DBM, didn't change a thing,
checked my WeakAuras as well, nothing there suspicious.
So I think this is something in my plater profile, but I can't just figure out you enable / disable nameplates for Morchie's clones.
All other nameplates are OK, I tried various combinations with friendly NPC nameplates enable/disable, didn't change a thing.
It's really driving me crazy for my other guildies use the same config as I do, and they don't have any pb.

Question. Custom NPC colors are ignored when in combat. In combat it always show agro color, not custom NPC color. How to change that?

I've imported your profile for season 2, when I was playing tank. Now I play dps and I'm using another plater profile, I even deleted yours. But somehow your voice package is still enabled. I'm hearing announcements for my tank (like: frontal, defensive, ..). How do I completely remove your sound package without redownloading plater altogether?? Thanks!
Remove the addon you download for sound pack that was covered in my video for s3 plater

the best way then, is to go to the S3 dungeons, under your cast tab - and disable all the sounds that I assigned for frontals or ccs@@tobeyves
@@quaziiwow im sorry to keep bothering you with this but I can’t find the dungeons the disable the sounds. After playing a bit more the sounds are mostly fine. It’s only the tank (frontal, defensive, .. ) sounds. As a dps I don’t want to hear ‘definsive’ when it’s a tank buster ofc.
How are you able to click on the interface options in general tab. Mine wont let me and it says CVar saved within plater profile and restored when loading the profile. What does this mean?

Yo Quazii! Is there a way to change the size/visibility of nameplates based on exact mob or mob type? For one of my farms, there are non-elites and I am trying to have them not show up, or be much smaller than the elite mobs.

hey, i'm playing classic, and i cant figure out how to show enemies shields with a timer, like mana shield, priest shield, pala bubble etc... i've been trying really hard, but i cant figure out how to show them with the timer.

im trying to show resource on nameplates [using plater] and i turns resources on. but the combo point indicator is not showing up above my nameplate. I dont see a button to simulate it. Im using a dummy just like you. I want it for bosses that have full energy mechanics. i dont want to do a mythic and then have the resources overlapping the hp. i also am trying to figure out how to space the stacking nameplates so they don't cover the mob. I dunno how you figure all this stuff out. been working on this for hours

I hope someone can help me here cuz I can't find the answer anywhere. I've tried a lot of different things and nothing is working. The problem is friendly players health bar is turning black when they are in combat. When I target them the health bar is green. Everything else I have set in plater is working fine. How can I keep their health bar green when they are in combat but not targeted?
Do you know if i can blacklist certain unimportant mobs in dungeons? Some of the tiny mobs that just clutter my nameplates and make me miss the target i want to select.

I have a question about when you're in tight areas or you have your camera facing towards the ground from above. i find the nameplates start overlapping more and it can become hard to see the mobs sometimes. I have tried spacing them out more and adjusting some stuff in advancedinterfaceoption but nothing really changes. i might of missed it in this video but is there any plater settings to help with that?

How come when I try to use this profile in pvp even with buff tracking set to manual all i see is a crap ton of overlapping buffs and debuffs all over the top of the nameplates for enemy players?

I would just like to know can we change a color of a nameplate of the mob that has certain dot on it? For example as a warlock i need to apply doom brand on different targets... when there are many mobs it's hard to see which mob has it and which doesn't... it would be helpful to change the color of a plate that is affected by a spell and to return to its base color when doom brand expires... is it possible?

First of all I would like to say your the best WOW content provider out there! That is why I am reaching out to you. I could use your help! In additon to having my dots tracked on the Plates of the Mobs, Plater has also DOT Timers that show the icons of all my DOTS with their expiration timers. I use your plater profile and want to move my DOTs Corrupt UA Agony etc to a differnt postion on my screen. I have not figured out where to do this in Plater. Hi, thanks for all your hard work. I'm trying to change the view distance of the name plates for mobs, but it won't let me go beyond 20. I type in 40 but it reverts back to 20. This was the only thing I wanted to change from your import string from your site (Classic, SoD). I've checked the section in the video, and it seems like 20 is the max distance. Really? that seems too close for a caster.

Running this profile on 17 keys right now and did the same on S3! Its very good but there are some mistakes in the bars. RLP 1st boss for instance has a kickable cast (important one) and the bar isn't like it supposed to be. There some more mistakes on colour and kickable adds. can write them down for ya but new expansion almost there. Thank for all the hardwork an I love it ;)

love your videos! not sure if you'll see this or maybe someone else can explain. is there a way to have all the custom colors mobs (casters/frontals) be the default red or the "not engaged" color when not engaged and then turn to their custom colors when engaged? now all casters are always fuchsia if engaged or not. I changed transparency for out of range targets which helps but a uniform color setting for all not engaged targets would be great. I know this is a very niche request but it would help my dps ranged (hunter!) friends with avoiding ninja pulls.

Under the "Enemy NPC" tab. You'll need to adjust 2 settings. The first is called "NPC Name Text," change the anchor to Inner Left if you want it like he has it in the video. The other setting is for where to show the health %. This is under "Health Information," change the anchor to Inner Right (or wherever else you want it).

Is there a setup you have for Plater SOD that you have that shows dispellable debuffs or what is most important to kick? I'm new at it but doesn't seem to have any in your copy paste unless I'm looking at it wrong.
Thanks so much, this helped a ton. The only question I have is, is there a way to "force" certain debuffs to be displayed first in order from left to right regardless of time remaining? For instance, with assassination rogue, is there a way to always show garrote and rupture first, instead of having all the icons jump around when kingsbane or deathmark or shiv or other important debuffs reach a lower timer than them? Considering you refresh garrote and rupture between 4-6 seconds, any debuffs that you let fall off or get lower than 4 seconds just bump them around.
@Quazii, I play Wow SoD. What I noticed that the nameplates of players and enemy distance view is way shorter than original. It is for me quite annoying and I dont know how to solve this
ah thats a server side limitation - blizz limited nameplates range in classic, i covered it in the masterclass video actually (: nothing we can do about it.
