Love the forms, love the tutorial! Thank you! I was hoping to find some hints for keeping my slab work from warping. I have 3 GR pottery forms and I keep trying slab plates and platters with the GR pottery forms and other methods but I ALWAYS get warping : ( I usually use Laguna B Mix or Amaco buff #46 and fire my stoneware to cone 6. My thrown pieces dry slowly and quite well in my greenware cabinet but my slab pieces warp in the drying process regardless of what attempts I make to insure uniform drying.t I've used little weights, plastic, no plastic, extra humidity in my greenware cabinet..... Anyway would love any suggestions!!
I dry flat pieces on a piece of wall board. I use baggies with rice to weigh down. I switch to a dry/fresh piece of dry wall twice a day. No warping for me.
@@rebeccahardy298 I use the blue painters tape to cover the cut on the board so no plaster is exposed. The big box home stores sell a 2’x2’ square and you can cut to size. I use diffuse pieces of dry wall for different sizes of work.
I try really hard to watch JPP, but all this talk wears me out. I appreciate questions, but come on, we are here to learn his methods. Not his future business plans. Uggggghhhhhh get on with it!
This video taught me how to use the kit. I thought they were coasters but it’s spacers! Also I didn’t know about the footer tool. Just fantastic!
So glad you found it helpful!☺️
Jessica, I love your videos, thank you!

Less questions more talk about the technique. Jeff is too busy answering your questions to focus on telling us what he is doing.
