  • Hi loves!
In this video I'm sharing my itinerary and what I did in Sicily for 7 days last summer. Including places (hidden beaches), food recommendations & some random tips and tricks.
Hope this is helpful. As always, leave your questions below.
Also, sorry, my camera died at some point. Actually, it's my brother's. All my batteries were dead. Nevermind. Hope it's not too annoying.

Yay! Nice to see you back ;0) I watched all your videos before my family and I traveled all over Italy (including Sicily) back in the summer of 2019. Although I live in America, we have a ton of family in Sicily and mostly in the small town of Carini, near Palermo. Have you ever had Pannelle (chickpea fritters) from Sicily? They're one of our family favorites! Watching this video reminded me of all my favorite places to visit in Sicily! Thanks for posting such an awesome video!!! CIAO!

I adore Sicily! When I was working in Rome, I spent 10 days on the island in May. My rental car was nuovissimo (brand new), which is not what you need in Sicily. The people were delightful and the food and sights magnificent. I can't wait to return!

    Love, love, love Sicily!
I have spent most of my visits in and around Taormina and south, past Siracusa..
    - Cefalù has been on my bucket list for a while, and now Favignana, too
I would love to visit the places you went, Elisa - they look amazing! 💚

Great video Elisa with good information. I also love pasta alla norma and love a good cannolo. Haven’t been to Sicily for about 10 years and miss it.

As an Australian the ‘renting the beach’ thing blows my mind 🤯 but I understand why it’s at a premium (less beach more people).

Another great video! We will be traveling to Italy in July. You mentioned gluten free in this video several times. My wife is gluten free and I want her to enjoy the food as much as I will. Any tips or suggestions for dishes or restaurants with good gluten free? Or maybe a video dedicated to it?

Hi there! I've traveled all over Europe and specifically Italy (Rome, Florence, Venice, Naples),etc..........But I am FROM Sicily, or at least my distant family is. I ran out of time when I went to Italy for vacation and wanted very badly to travel to Sicily-
My next trip planned is to do just that- But, I can not drive in other countries (from the US). I would be terrified. Is it possible to take a Metro/Tube/ around Sicily? Are there other means of transportation to get from one city to the next?
My Great Grandmother came from Trapani. I've been told I'm her twin and would very much like to go there and see what she left behind to come to the US.
What last question: Do they speak much English in Palermo? I struggled a bit in the rest of Italy but managed to find someone in each city to speak to me.
Thank you so much for your informative videos. I LOVE Italy, not just because I'm ItalianAmerican but because it's beautiful and full of life!

There are trains and buses that connect the main cities (but also the smaller towns are connected especially by bus). So, it's better to decide what you want to visit and then see what are the best options to move from one place to another (in some cases buses might be better, in other cases trains might be the best option). For what concerns English, the situation is pretty much the same as in the rest of Italy, in touristic places you will always find people speaking English, the level of fluency will obviously depend on the single person.
