    What cleansers do you use? Were you able to check its pH level? 👀

    My go to cleanser was in your test! I am in love with the CeraVe Hydrating cleanser; the Foaming is pretty good to as a one-step makeup/cleanser. I've been so impressed with CeraVe that I've stopped purchasing high street cleansers. ...though Fresh Soy Cleanser is really, really nice but $$$.

      Ugh I know what you mean. I love fresh! Even though I generally don’t like scented products, theirs are on point. Hehe

    I'm a 39 year old married dad. Of course I care about my skin...not just chicks here dudes!! I just got Cera Ve.....( they stopped making Alba daily wash😭😭😭) I'm hoping the Cera Ve hydrating face wash is strong enough...I have oily t zone and dry cheeks. I'm used to the Big Foam method....I appreciate your actual review not just rambling about nonsense!

      Casual Acquaintance it’s a hydrating cleanser. If you have issues with a compromised moisture barrier, dry skin during the winter months then this would work for you. Cerave does have a line of cleansers to accommodate your needs. You can try the foaming cleanser, SA cleanser or this one. I love this cleanser for my night time routine.

    Simple skincare is one of the few brands that actually works well with my eczema skin, I heard that cerave also is good for sensitive skin types so definitely wanna try that out now since its your fave and it didn't change in color at all!

    I use hydropeptide. It’s very gentle and I just assume it’s good. It’s PH is probably something to look into. Your hair is growing fast and the lipstick is giving life.

      If it’s not a super sudsy cleanser odds are good! Not to suggest that all suds are bad, but it’s often a possible sign.

    You should consider getting rid of essential oils/fragrance in your skin care too. That's probably why Cerave is good for sensitive skin as it has no fragrance. Love you vids! These kinds of vids should what will trend and not those stupid stuffs that doesnt help the society.

      @LogicvsLuxury  6 років тому

      Hi, I wouldn't disregard all essential oils. Tea tree is antibacterial, german chamomile is very soothing and good for the skin, so is Lavender angustifolia. There are many so called skin nourishing essential oils.

    I've been curious about the CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser for a while now but I read that some people get breakouts from it. I'm also a bit unsure about the alcohol in it. What is your opinion about it? :) xx

    • @LogicvsLuxury
      @LogicvsLuxury  6 років тому

      I have never had a negative reaction but I totally know everyone’s skin is different and may respond differently! I am ok with the ingredients. There are many diff types of alcohol so I wouldn’t be too nervous if you just see the word in an ingred list unless you know you have a bad reaction to some types.

      Fatty alcohols (cetearyl, stearyl, etc) are a completely different thing from drying alcohols like ethanol (colloquially alcohol) and isopropyl.

    • @electrictwilight
      @electrictwilight 6 років тому +1

      Cetearyl alcohol, like the Hydrating Cleanser has, is a fatty alcohol that is an emulsifier. It's not harmful like sd/denatured alcohol. It can clog pores, though, so that could be why people break out.

    Can you please tell me if hydrating cerave cleanser can be used and for oily skin instead of foaming cleanser even if you have oily skin ???

    • @aj.5841
      @aj.5841 5 років тому

      It should be okay. There is nothing wrong with a hydrating cleanser to combat oily skin, as long as you select a decent moisturizer to combine - a very good one is also by Cerave and it's their moisturizer in the blue tub. The addition of ceramides and hyalauronic acid should help to strengthen the condition of your oily skin. Good luck

  • @jessfrezz4764
    @jessfrezz4764 6 років тому

    Great video! Quick question: I have the testers from Amazon with the different colors, should I mix my cleansers with a little water simulating how it is when I wash my face, or just dip it in the solution as is?

    • @LogicvsLuxury
      @LogicvsLuxury  6 років тому +1

      Good question. You want to recreate the environment that would be how you wash your face. For me for the most part, I go straight from pump to face with most of the prods I use but if there’s something thicker then you should do the water + prod test.

    Hello Joanna! Loved your video!! But I'm curious your thoughts on the Cetaphil gentle cleanser? I hear people love it and hate it!! I'm using it right now, but I alternate between Cetaphil and Cerave. Thanks!

    • @LogicvsLuxury
      @LogicvsLuxury  6 років тому

      I agree with you! I really dislike the cetaphil. It smells bad to me and just feels like hand soap so I’ve only bought it once. This was years ago though. Not sure if they’ve changed

    • @electrictwilight
      @electrictwilight 6 років тому +1

      Cetaphil is not good for your skin. It uses SLS, a harsh surfactant, to clean the skin. I have no idea why dermatologists recommend it.

    • @rebeccamorgan3035
      @rebeccamorgan3035 6 років тому

      I agree, but my doctor recommended it for me, so I thought I would give it try! But I feel like it does nothing for my skin either, it doesn't moisturize it and it doesn't seem to help my oily skin either.

    • @demonslayer4951
      @demonslayer4951 5 років тому +1

      @@LogicvsLuxury seriously! Cetaphil don't have smell. Cetaphil really diminished my acne but not blackheads and white heads so I change to new stonger product. its a product in my country tho called ponds. Because I don't have pimples so I use harsher products now to remove blackheads and whiteheads but I need to moisturize afterwards. Cause it dries my skin but not breaking out.

    I got the same results as you when I test my ordinary lactic acid as well. Actually most ordinary serums I’ve tested is around pH 5.5 so I’m actually wondering how truthful is the pH on their website since the pH claimed on the website for their acids is around pH 2.5-3.5??

    • @LogicvsLuxury
      @LogicvsLuxury  6 років тому

      😲😲😲 oh my! That’s good to know! Was it observing or my strip was a dud!

    Surprised that the lactic "acid" is neutral :/

    • @LogicvsLuxury
      @LogicvsLuxury  6 років тому +1

      Me too! The website says it should be 3.8. It could be because I’ve had it for a year and it’s been in the sun etc. so maybe expired. Or could be the strips are not the best :( I’ll have to retry with lemon juice and see the strips are sound!

    • @b2h316
      @b2h316 6 років тому

      Joanna's Logic vs Luxury I use the ordinary lactic acid 5% and I have noticed a difference with my skin since I started it. That being said I was literally doing nothing to my skin but washing it and moisturizing it before so anything I've kind of added into my routine is going to make a difference.

    • @LogicvsLuxury
      @LogicvsLuxury  6 років тому

      Hey if it’s working don’t knock it :) I personally could not really use the LA. Found it really itched my skin!!! Had to wash it off after a few minutes! So I only use it on my body now and then (like for callouses)

      I’ve got a video on the double cleanse! I use it first to get off makeup. I don’t think it should be left on the skin without rinsing away at least. My 2 cents!
