- Today we hiked Cruz de la Muela, Orihuela (Alicante, Spain). We found Cruz de la Muela to be a great hike! I would definitely say this has been my favourite hike in Alicante, Spain so far as not only was the view from the top incredible but we really enjoyed this trail. It was very well signposted all the way up, it would of been impossible to get lost, and the path was very easy to walk on. It took us aprox. 2 hours to get to the top of Sierra de Orihuela (took our time/few breaks) and it took us an hour to get back down…I have heard a few people do it a lot quicker so it can be done, but we took it easy and enjoyed the route! If you plan on coming to Cruz de la Muela , you will definitely need a bottle of water, a few snacks and packed lunch (if you plan on having a little picnic at the top). I would also recommend that your phone is fully charged incase of emergencies, and to get some awesome photos at the top! Make sure to wear layers as it can get really sweaty hiking up and is pretty windy at the top. There are several trails to get to the top, some that we are going to try out eventually, but we took the Monte Pinar route and here’s where we parked: Calle Alicante M Pinar, 21

Just done this hike today thanks to watching millies vlog. Wow that is one steep climb but the views are amazing. Perfect spot for parking 👍 As we came down there was a guy just marking the trail for a running race up there tomorrow. Now that takes some serious fitness 🏃

Such an awesome hike! The views were awesome! I have to admit, before watching your videos I never pictured Spain having so many hiking areas. I always associated beautiful old cities with it instead.

Hahaha that's why you sit at the top for ages, till you can feel your legs again hahaha! Yeah was quite busy up there actually, even kids so wasn't too difficult. Oh always babe! Can't beat a bit of tuna pasta on a hike! 😆💜

@@MillieMoments i'm up to about 3k steps a day and doing well at that! so maybe end of summer we can expect to introduce something a little more strenuous :)

@@MillieMoments nah sometimes i go to Paso del Gafo or sometimes i go to the highest mountain of the Vega Baja, "La suerra de orihuela" there are 653 meters and its so amazing! It is next of Cruz de la Muela
