Honestly, not a bad video. But the painful part for me was the welding. You _always_ chip the slag off _before_ you run another pass. You’ll get slag inclusions in your weld, and that will weaken it. You also probably shouldn’t keep breaking and restriking your arc that much, you might end up with incomplete fusion on the base metal. I see a lot of people using stick welders like this, and it’s fine if you’re doing something that’s just for show. But god help you if you use it for anything serious. Stick welding is forgiving, but there’s still a technique to doing it right.

Question: why did you bother cutting the hole on the “T crossing”? Couldn’t you have just welded the end piece to the the T crossing once you had the end of the pipe cut and filed?

Yes you can, if its some kind of structural application and not product transfer pipe

La unión, es horrible, pero practica, es la única forma, arrastra el electrodo sin cortar el arco eléctrico, verifica el amperaje que no sea mucho y muy poco, deviese ser con electrodo en medida 3/32, a 65 amp máximo siendo electrodo corriente no 7018, 6010,6011, 6013, si es 1 1/8 y el espesor del material base sobre los 3 mm a 85 amp, si es de 2 mm, te recomiendo el electrodo delgado.
