Ah Yes, Bangor, the land that time forgot. I feel your pain having to drive through that tip of a place.

Can't wait for December's footage seeing silly season is upon us. I've saw some dodgy driving in the past 2 weeks and it's getting worse.

I've seen people drive worse in dark wet conditions than in bright sunny and dry conditions

Some gulpens on our roads, and there's an epidemic of young women driving around staring at their phones

And farmers. They love driving on their phones. The young ones at least

lots of bad drivers on the roads but a couple of those were problems of your own creation.

@@ryanh3285 2'56" seemed unnecessary, just a guy trying to take an exit, would have been trying to overtake and find a gap for miles, we all got to get somewhere, just let him in! 1'53" the Skoda had already and fairly committed to passing the obstruction, so they had right of way. The old trucker's "That's on YOUR side" claim is nonsense, nowhere is that suggested in the HC. In fact, looking again at it [edit], the sign facing the truck says it's the left lane that has to negotiate the restriction. The sign says 'road narrows ON LEFT' so it was the truck requiring to take action. See HC 'Traffic signs' section.

The taxi forcing his way in wasn't trying to get past "for miles". This happens near enough every time I or another hgv pulls away from the previous lights. We're trying to build up speed and not looking to stamp on the brakes because someone can't wait 5 seconds behind us. He was behind me then got impatient. I've no sympathy for these types of people. As for the skoda driver. He saw me prior to the box van coming round. He just decided he would try to sneak in behind and expect me to brake harshly for him. And the sign on the left about the left lane narrowing, that's for the obstruction further up that you can see. Not the one this video is about.

@@NITrucker Respectfully, I would like to put a different opinion to you. Such videos and discussions I feel are good as they are the chance for us all to become safer drivers, I am not suggesting you are not displaying good driving generally, but if we believe we are beyond improvement in our driving, then we're already half-way to having an accident, right? I cannot speak of what the taxi did beforehand, and whatever it was they did, car drivers make mistakes and we should seek to accommodate that, not close up a gap to make it more difficult for them to manoeuvre. What happened at the time was that the taxi was matching your speed, and put on its indicator in a timely way for that exit. You already had a 1.5 second gap to the yellow car in front (which was already a bit close, at least 2 seconds would be appropriate approaching a junction) and when you saw that, you closed that already-small gap up further, not open it up. It's what you did, it is clear to see. You could have just eased off the power, no braking required, and let them get into the slip road. Instead, you held the power on, closed the gap, then had to brake. The yellow car was going to be getting in your way to turn 'anyway', as were the red lights ahead that you should have been slowing for anyway, so you went nowhere. As for the left-lane-narrows sign at road works, again, you just had to back off the power just for a teeny second to let the traffic clear and you'd all have got to 'the next set of red lights' a micro-second earlier, instead of a microsecond later.

@@donaldjames3912 You're right. Every day is a school day. I'm always learning. However, if I was driving to the shops then I wouldn't care about half the things I see and would let off the accelerator as you said. The thing is though. If like me You're doing over 300 miles a day sometimes and have schedules to keep......... you don't want to be playing the "every car driver might do this or do that so I better slow down for every driver" game. You'd never get anywhere and in fact I think you'd become a nervous driver. And that's extremely dangerous in a 44 ton lorry. Every junction, every traffic light, every slip road, every roundabout, you never know what a car driver or even another hgv driver is going to do. You can only be vigilante and reactive to what goes on around you. Touch wood, I've never had an accident due to me seeing issues arising and avoiding them. That's not me saying I will never have an accident. I'm not that naive. But if every car driver that drives like an idiot starts believing the lorry driver will always slow down for them, we're going to be seeing a lot more crashes on our roads. People say I use my horn alot. I've seen numerous drivers doing something stupid and not even realise they are putting themselves in danger so if my using my horn makes them think "did I do something wrong?" Then so be it. Be safe out there and maybe some day I'll put a video up showing all the times I stop to let people pull out, or I lift off for an idiot doing something stupid. Trust me I actually do that a lot but that's not entertaining lol 😉

I have driven in quite a lot of places in the world but I always say drivers here in Northern Ireland are the worst. Never seen so many bad drivers who think they are the only ones on the road its mad.

Try driving in Los Angeles, where you have the added twist that the other driver just might be armed.

The issue with this is the person posting is kinda making out like they've never made a mistake driving and that's bs.
