Since those shows are done low budget it might had been the sallery or some " so called " artistical differences - whatever that means. ::) On another PRIMEVAL -Fan page I had found an interesting commentary. The intelligent fellow had ment that this episode could be the reinstallment point for a modern PRIMEVAL FOLLOW UP SERIES. With Taylor ( here : the girl ) as a grown up woman coming by accident together with some ARCHE-Agents

@@lewisfraser4153 You really should keep watching the later series. There have been some really great episodes despite what some people say. I loved Henshall and didn't think the show survive without him, but I was proven wrong as the later series are really good.
I never like him. Well I like him in the first series but then they turn him to a right dick in the 2nd series after they revealed he had a affair with Helen. I glad they killed him off before they ruin his character even more.
Stephen was awesome characters! I'm still really sad. He died from the last episodes of season 2. I don't really want him died. He really important characters for me!
Just PRIMEVAL NEW WORLD had been to gritty for my taste The show had lost many viewers in that time not only because there was a long brake to the elder episodes. The Makers had not understood that it was ! THE FAMILY LIKE CHARACTER OF THE SHOW " that had made PRIMEVAL so great and not the bloody action parts.
The closest match to the Silurian Scorpions is some of the underwater species that lived in the Devonian seas. However, this thing in the episode is fictional.
@@thekingoffandoms8126 That's not Brontoscorpio, they don't have whip tails. This creature is fictional, designed to look like vinegaroos (whip-tail scorpion). There's no fossil record about this so like tree creeper, it's fictional prehistoric creature.

The one gripe I have about this episode, is that the creators could've used an already existing giant euryptorid, called the Jaekelopterus, which was bigger than the frikkin' Arthropleura. Instead, for whatever reason they just went with a roided out vinegaroon (giant whip scorpion), something which never even existed.
I mean , I love this episode and the idea but what would they hunt husing sense of vibration? Those centipides where pretty small to make intense vibration and small to feed that big creature. And most of the life in Silur was in the sea so... But I love the series and everything and I understand that its fictional.
To be serious, we really just know about Fossils of the period, theoretically it might be possible that on land had happened MORE ACTION :) as scientifically so far known.
I suppose they were going into the angle that creatures had evolved differently after the timeline changed at the end of S1 to tie in how Claudia became Jenny, but that plotline was scrapped with the Claudia/Jenny story being abandoned.

Honestly I thought it was in it prime time without Cutter and Steven. I never like Steven that much but I was heartbroken when Nick die.
I like in this episode when Cutter knocks out a guy who he thought was a caveman. 😂

Exactly. The only scorpion like creature I can think of from the Silurian period is the Brontoscorpio. And that’s just a big scorpion
