I had never really tried tofu until my family hosted a Japanese exchange student for a month. Since we do have a sizeable population of people from different Asian countries around Seattle, we were able to take her to a place called Uwajimaya, which specializes in Japanese and other Asian imports, food, clothes, dishes, books, videos, and more. She cooked a Japanese meal for us, which was my first time trying very soft tofu (in soup). I'll admit I didn't like the texture, but the flavor was good. Later, another friend showed me how to press tofu firm enough to pan-fry, as well as how to season it, and I decided I really liked it. My only complaint watching this video is that we cannot get colored tofu over here! Turmeric has its own flavor, which goes well with tofu, as does the black pepper which helps unlock the anti-inflammatory properties of turmeric. Its bright color is very appealing, as is the pink coloring you used. Is that the magenta plant you used before? I would love to know what flavors the magenta plant and rice leaves give, but neither of them grow around here, and we can only get turmeric in our grocery stores. The next closest we have to pink or red from locally grown foods would be either a red beet, or some sort of berry. I might consider blackberry, which is purple-pink, but we also have several other types of berries in this area, including salmon berry, which is a native plant in the Seattle area. It grows a berry that is usually orange, but can also be yellow or red. It's one of my favorite berries, but is difficult to grow commercially, unlike raspberries or blackberries. Locally, this region has dozens of edible berries, kind of like how Vietnam has dozens of tree fruit. As for green, the closest we have is spinach, and it's a pale green like the rice leaves give. I like using natural foods for dyes because they give their flavor to the food. I wonder if mint, which also makes a pale green, would go with tofu? The tofu itself has a mild flavor, so it could be turned into a sweet treat, or maybe flavored with other spices from Mediterranean cuisines.

@peggypollock3030 not all videos on UA-cam earn money for the creator. Each channel needs to reach a certain number of subscriber, views and watch time to qualify. Then they are able to apply for the partnership program. If they are accepted, only then are they paid a small amount for every thousand views. I'm sure this channel does earn a decent amount of money, but thousands may be a bit of a stretch. She would also need to use part of what she earns to pay whoever is filming her and possibly an editor, as well.
Like, subscribe, comment, that is what funds the food. These videos are hard work, you have to do the job and set up each shot. Sometimes doing it several times to get the shot. They are earning the money, it’s not easy! And more hours editing and subtitles

Meus filhos quando crianças nao podiam tomar leite de vaca...eu fazia leite de soja batendo os graos no liquidificador...uma trabalheira só...mesmo sendo pouca quantidade. Minha filha com 41 e meu filho do meio com 39 anos hoje, nao tomam leite de vaca. Ela usa leite vegetal variados...ele nao toma nenhum tipo.

É servido em restaurantes orientais (inclusive no missoshiro) e vendido em gôndolas de produtos orientais nos grandes supermercados, mercearias e feiras, com produtos asiáticos. Repare bem! 👍
