I've heard people with C6 Eula actually swap off of her earlier to make sure the burst hits. Imagine getting a C6 for a character and having to play them LESS.

To anyone debating the worth of Venti's Burst: you know how Floor 12 of Abyss is gated by all those super armor/boss-style fights? That's because of Venti.
Not really because the same can be said if they want you to use Venti. The weight value of most elite and boss enemies are all naturally high because it also affects their stagger resistance, which includes displacement effects created by vacuum abilities.

Zhongli's elemental burst is also one of the best in the game even though it's super slow. But on an actual damage dealer the damage and petrification effect would be absolutely broken. Raiden's burst is the best elemental infusion burst in the game, not just because of it's initial hit will literally hit everything everywhere, all at once. But once infused her immunity to stagger makes her a nightmare for bosses who rely on knocks to chain their attacks. Lastly it refunds a portion of the team's elemental burst when finished, and it looks cool.
Finally one one else agrees having a way to freeze enemies outside of freeze is op especially since zhongli's burst has the added bonus of inflicting a geo status on all petrified enemies on the topic of raidens burst it should have def made it on the list i mean it was once a meta defining burst and still is (to some extent) . it gives free energy , high damage and no drawbacks other than its small infusion period
Zhongli's burst can actually deal great damage if built properly. I can, with a Homa, do 250k ish damage or a bit higher (if I had better substats I think I could realistically push it to 300k at the absolute maximum in like a Navia Furina Bennett Zhongli comp). That's in a big AoE and for each opponent hit, it just gets higher. It's kind of ridiculous that people don't think that Zhongli's burst is "worth using". It's 3 seconds and you get value from it. I have C2, admittedly, so I have a reason to do it but still.
It whould be great if youre at risk of dying but you’re never in that situation so its useless and a dmg loss, most dps can do the dmg of zhongis burst in a single hit anyway. And the only reason freeze is valuable is cause of blizzard strayer the actual freeze component although helpful for grouping doesn’t rlly help
actually you can't snapshot Furina's burst wich is good with everyone it is a dynamic buff it increases the damage of xiangling even if used later because furina's burst buffs her off field and ignores her snapshot

To elaborate on why I omitted Shogun's burst from this list despite including C2 for 5*'s: I wasn't sure how intrusive it would be when used in line with another unit's attacks. For instance how would it interact with Alhaitham would it override his own attack animations or would it be layered on top of him kind of like a follow up attack? It's the same reason I didn't put Childe's skill in the skill video because I wasn't sure if the new attacks replace their current ones or if they're added in addition to it. I understand especially with C2 it's extremely powerful and the battery strength is unquestionably good. Shogun bust and Childe skill have brand new attack animations replacing their existing ones, which would make things really weird. Imagine Lyney drawing a booba sword then turning into a sword attacker for a bit. That could cause counterproductive consequences for the user depending on which one it is. Characters like Hu Tao skill who imbue their attacks with an element are more agnostic in that it doesn't introduce new attack animations (not normal attacks anyway). I feel like Shogun's burst is good specifically within the context of her kit, not as an isolated ability, whereas attack based bursts like Ayaka/Eula/Venti can easily just be thrown out to maximum effect regardless of who uses it. Now if instead it was like a "shadow shogun" attacking alongside the active character then that would probably make it top 3 since you're getting electro follow up attacks + energy recharge at the same time. But that's a whole new can of worms lol.
Still, Yelan and XQ should have been tied for the same place, they are nearly identical. Shogun's burst not only has damaeg but utlity as well, I think it deserved a spot on this list.

Makes sense. A lot of bursts that people consider to be really great tend to be that great from internal Kit Synergy, and less so in a vacuum. That aside, are there any plans for a list of best Normal Attackers? There are many different characters that have become popular as a Normal Attacker On-field DPS, and I think it could make for an interesting and different take to this series!
Furina's C2 Hp% buff is for herself only, and cannot be given to anyone else, as he implied at 8:51. Just wanted to point it out as that's kinda a major misunderstanding of the constellation.

The problem with nahida's burst is that it doesn't function properly without the rest of her kit and would only give you an EM buff in practice. Still pretty good but I don't think it's top 10 since you still need that EM to come from somewhere on a unit if that makes sense. Similar logic applies to Kazuha.

This video absolutely blew my mind because it revealed something to me: I'm not a burst player, and never have been. Juggling energy, uptime, and swap order has never appealed to me - I've always loved quick swapping elemental skills instead. This honestly explains so much about my play style, why my builds are weird, why my damage has always been pretty good but not great, and which characters' kits I love and which I'm not into. Specifically it really really explains why Bennett, Xingqiu, and Xiangling have just never appealed to me, and why Raiden has also been hard for me to utilize properly. I know this seems to go against so much of how Genshin's combat is set up, but it truly only burns me on floor 12 of abyss. I started playing in 1.4 and I am fine without advice as to how to change my mind. That said, I'm interested to see if I keep going the same way or if I will want to start nurturing my bursts.

surprised to see Eula's burst on the list, because I feel like ending your rotation with a nuke is almost always worse than starting your rotation with one since its harder to time and it would sometimes be an overkill, for example I feel like Childe's burst is more worth mentioning in this case, since it is a quick animation nuke that you can vape, and start your set with. tbh I feel like the nuke was the biggest reason keeping Childe in the international team, the same with Raiden's burst
One thing most people skip when comparing Yelan and Xingqiu burst is their accuracy. Yelan has enemy tracking on her burst while Water Dude goes straight line towards where enemy was when casted. Against fast enemies like rift hounds you will miss half your shots.

Love you Vars Venti's canonical power is up for debate, people only assume that Venti is the weakest because he said so in version 1 but he also lied/gave false information about how an archon gains power. This was disproved by Nahida herself and we seen the way it works in Fontaine when Focalors needed Indemnitium to challenge the Heavenly Principles. (And a lot of people hate Venti just in general) Am I saying Venti is the most powerful archon in Teyvat? I don't understand why people are crying over raiden burst not being in the list and being like baizhu shouldn't be up there this and that . Raiden burst deals dmg and regenerates energy that to with some limitations whereas baizhu can heal shield(stagger resistance) buff and apply dendro(i.e objectively best element) . As for c2 raiden she ignores def but if we talk about baizhu at c2 you can make him a viable dmg dealer as well .
I don't think it's Raiden vs Bazhu, it's Raiden vs C2 Eula (at least most of the comments I'm seeing). Like, Eula doesn't offer anything to the party supportwise through her burst, her burst also needs to be timed impeccably (enemy moved? skill issue. They didn't? Hope you crit!) whereas Raiden's provides her with electro infusion AND refunds energy to the whole team, while having super armour, drive any off-fielder who works off executing normal attacks, and dishing out extremely respectable damage. Eula's probably _feels_ more satisfying when it clicks, but if you're gonna _rank_ bursts on how good they are, ranking Raiden's below Eula's is a bit... contrived.
BGM making me wanna take a gun to my head and say "persona". Funny because I just finished P3R the night before this video came out. Also, I would have traded Baizhu's burst for Raiden's in this video for many reasons but primarily because it can be used in more teams. Since neither burst by itself is very compelling outside of the characters that they are on, Raiden's burst's damage and energy recharge are far more useful for most teams than a shield IMO.
I do think raiden should be included here. Yes it is not better than furina yelan and others but not in top 10 thats crazy considering you have picked c2 for 5* char. Eula is there for the damage which is great but raiden does the same not at the level of eula but just a slightly worse in terms of damge. Not to mention eula uses raiden in her best team while raiden does that with 3 other 4 stars. Also raiden has insane energy regen for the entire team.

Kazuha burst and Raiden burst are very strong. I don't think I would rate Eula's burst highly due to the requirement to crit fish. Also getting max stacks is nearly impossible. I thik you need C6 and attackspeed buffs to fully charge the burst. I agree with most of these!

This is a good list and all, but I have say Zhonli's burst is still the best. Not because of some meta stuff. Oh no, it's the best because it is a motherfucking meteor on a motherfucking 40 energy cost. I'm not trying to generate enery for Zhongli, I'm not building him for it - it's just there and it's ready to ruin some unsuspecting robber's day with excessive force. "Sorry Greg, I know I could make you go away with a hearty dope slap, but the shinny button compels me so here, have an extinction event." That's why Zhongli's burst is the best - it's the funniest. To elaborate on why I omitted Shogun's burst from this list despite including C2 for 5*'s: I wasn't sure how intrusive it would be when used in line with another unit's attacks. For instance how would it interact with Alhaitham would it override his own attack animations or would it be layered on top of him kind of like a follow up attack? It's the same reason I didn't put Childe's skill in the skill video because I wasn't sure if the new attacks replace their current ones or if they're added in addition to it. I understand especially with C2 it's extremely powerful and the battery strength is unquestionably good.
Shogun bust and Childe skill have brand new attack animations replacing their existing ones, which would make things really weird. Imagine Lyney drawing a booba sword then turning into a sword attacker for a bit. That could cause counterproductive consequences for the user depending on which one it is. Characters like Hu Tao skill who imbue their attacks with an element are more agnostic in that it doesn't introduce new attack animations (not normal attacks anyway).
I feel like Shogun's burst is good specifically within the context of her kit, not as an isolated ability, whereas attack based bursts like Ayaka/Eula/Venti can easily just be thrown out to maximum effect regardless of who uses it. Now if instead it was like a "shadow shogun" attacking alongside the active character then that would probably make it top 3 since you're getting electro follow up attacks + energy recharge at the same time. But that's a whole new can of worms lol.
Still, Yelan and XQ should have been tied for the same place, they are nearly identical. Shogun's burst not only has damaeg but utlity as well, I think it deserved a spot on this list.
I kinda understand where you’re coming from but when we talk about best bursts does it really matter who else it’s gonna be on? I mean Eula made it on the list even though you very well mentioned how the irony is it doesn’t work well with her as she’s a claymore user. I think Raiden’s burst utility should have been considered more than things like animation stuff. Huge damage + energy recharge for entire party is absolutely broken in the game.
Makes sense. A lot of bursts that people consider to be really great tend to be that great from internal Kit Synergy, and less so in a vacuum. That aside, are there any plans for a list of best Normal Attackers? There are many different characters that have become popular as a Normal Attacker On-field DPS, and I think it could make for an interesting and different take to this series!

The problem with nahida's burst is that it doesn't function properly without the rest of her kit and would only give you an EM buff in practice. Still pretty good but I don't think it's top 10 since you still need that EM to come from somewhere on a unit if that makes sense. Similar logic applies to Kazuha.

This video absolutely blew my mind because it revealed something to me: I'm not a burst player, and never have been. Juggling energy, uptime, and swap order has never appealed to me - I've always loved quick swapping elemental skills instead. This honestly explains so much about my play style, why my builds are weird, why my damage has always been pretty good but not great, and which characters' kits I love and which I'm not into. Specifically it really really explains why Bennett, Xingqiu, and Xiangling have just never appealed to me, and why Raiden has also been hard for me to utilize properly. I know this seems to go against so much of how Genshin's combat is set up, but it truly only burns me on floor 12 of abyss. I started playing in 1.4 and I am fine without advice as to how to change my mind.
That said, I'm interested to see if I keep going the same way or if I will want to start nurturing my bursts.

surprised to see Eula's burst on the list, because I feel like ending your rotation with a nuke is almost always worse than starting your rotation with one since its harder to time and it would sometimes be an overkill, for example I feel like Childe's burst is more worth mentioning in this case, since it is a quick animation nuke that you can vape, and start your set with. tbh I feel like the nuke was the biggest reason keeping Childe in the international team, the same with Raiden's burst

One thing most people skip when comparing Yelan and Xingqiu burst is their accuracy. Yelan has enemy tracking on her burst while Water Dude goes straight line towards where enemy was when casted. Against fast enemies like rift hounds you will miss half your shots.

Venti's canonical power is up for debate, people only assume that Venti is the weakest because he said so in version 1 but he also lied/gave false information about how an archon gains power. This was disproved by Nahida herself and we seen the way it works in Fontaine when Focalors needed Indemnitium to challenge the Heavenly Principles. (And a lot of people hate Venti just in general)

Whereas Yelan has More DPS and DPR than Raiden, She is "off Field" And Because she is Hydro hence ,has the Strongest as well as Most Versatile pellet in terms of Reaction DMG.
Note: She is also the Strongest Off field DPS in the entire Game.

I don't understand why people are crying over raiden burst not being in the list and being like baizhu shouldn't be up there this and that . Raiden burst deals dmg and regenerates energy that to with some limitations whereas baizhu can heal shield(stagger resistance) buff and apply dendro(i.e objectively best element) . As for c2 raiden she ignores def but if we talk about baizhu at c2 you can make him a viable dmg dealer as well .
I don't think it's Raiden vs Bazhu, it's Raiden vs C2 Eula (at least most of the comments I'm seeing). Like, Eula doesn't offer anything to the party supportwise through her burst, her burst also needs to be timed impeccably (enemy moved? skill issue. They didn't? Hope you crit!) whereas Raiden's provides her with electro infusion AND refunds energy to the whole team, while having super armour, drive any off-fielder who works off executing normal attacks, and dishing out extremely respectable damage.
Eula's probably _feels_ more satisfying when it clicks, but if you're gonna _rank_ bursts on how good they are, ranking Raiden's below Eula's is a bit... contrived.
BGM making me wanna take a gun to my head and say "persona". Funny because I just finished P3R the night before this video came out. Also, I would have traded Baizhu's burst for Raiden's in this video for many reasons but primarily because it can be used in more teams. Since neither burst by itself is very compelling outside of the characters that they are on, Raiden's burst's damage and energy recharge are far more useful for most teams than a shield IMO.

I do think raiden should be included here. Yes it is not better than furina yelan and others but not in top 10 thats crazy considering you have picked c2 for 5* char. Eula is there for the damage which is great but raiden does the same not at the level of eula but just a slightly worse in terms of damge. Not to mention eula uses raiden in her best team while raiden does that with 3 other 4 stars. Also raiden has insane energy regen for the entire team.

Kazuha burst and Raiden burst are very strong. I don't think I would rate Eula's burst highly due to the requirement to crit fish. Also getting max stacks is nearly impossible. I thik you need C6 and attackspeed buffs to fully charge the burst.

If you use teams like raiden national as soon as you finish the burst you’ll have the rotation ready you use it and gain another 30% extra damage for like 5 seconds with xianglings burst
I also need to remind people raidens best teams include 4 stars who don’t even need to be c6 other then kujou but even then chevruse replaces her easily at c0 while people like neuvilette and alhaithum and hu tao need five stars more then one sometimes to work properly

This is a good list and all, but I have say Zhonli's burst is still the best. Not because of some meta stuff. Oh no, it's the best because it is a motherfucking meteor on a motherfucking 40 energy cost. I'm not trying to generate enery for Zhongli, I'm not building him for it - it's just there and it's ready to ruin some unsuspecting robber's day with excessive force.
