I'm from the Austin area and living downtown here is gonna cost you minimum $2.5k even for a studio. The property taxes are KILLER here. Looking at downtown living in Denver is way more doable especially considering the average pay is higher than here in Austin.
Thank you so much for watching and that perspective! It’s interesting hearing about experiences in Austin and Nashville because those seem to be the two cities I hear the most about in comparison to Denver.
3bd +office in Lowry 4500$, same house in Highlands ranch 3600$, Englewood 3500-4000$... 2bd 2bth apartment, the modest ones in a save areas are starting at around 2K... Same apartment in downtown, cherry creek at around 3-4K... I am confused... Also, the quality of real estate makes me cry everytime I think about it. As one of my friends stated, lots of mid century wet dreams, and tiny bungalows, where the room, which is listed as a bedroom, doesn't fit even a twin bed, maybe a crib, and a chair...
There is no rhyme or reason to it some times, no doubt about it. Some homes and apartments go for far more than you would expect, buying or renting, and others can be had for a relative bargain. It’s crazy!
Im coming from Portland area. Gas is almost $1 cheaper, income tax rate is half as much in Colorado, Rent roughly the same. I'll get atleast a $1 pay raise at my job(Safeway). Pre-pandemic I was paying 1835 for a 2 bedroom duplex with 4 people. Now I'm a vanlifer to eacape rent entirely during the pandemic.
I recently moved to West Palm Beach, Florida from Las Vegas, and I just feel like the apartments are a lot harder to get into due to how expensive they are and they also ask for you make 3 1/2 times the rent and as a 22-year-old with a child it’s very difficult they also have no hills and no snow which is why I am looking forward to possibly moving to Denver. Thank you for your educational video it’s really helping.
Thank you for the amazing info, a family of four adults is coming to Denver from Asia, how much money do they need to bring for the first 6 months? (LIFE ON BUDGET so to speak ) Thanks again
A few of y’all in the comments living down here in South Florida I see you😂 damn right it’s expensive here I’m ready to trade in my crocs for some snow boots and follow Deion out to the mountains🙏🏾😂
You make a great point - cost is all perspective based on where someone is coming from. Denver is expensive, but not for everyone! Thanks for watching!
Hi Rori! Denver has a ton of great schools stretching from the city north into Boulder or south into Colorado Springs. Do you know what you might want to study?
The cost of housing in the Denver metro area is out of control. The entire Denver Metro area is expensive. A small 750-square-foot home by Lakeside was sold for $650,000 last month. But it is still affordable to live in the northern suburbs. The houses in Thorton, Northglenn, and Aurora are a lot cheaper than the homes in Denver. The cost of living in the Denver Metro area exploded after COVID.
Folks can learn this from watching my video or researching it else where, either way they are figuring it out on their own. 🤷🏻♂️. Appreciate you watching!

I pay $2800 for a studio apartment in San Francisco. Plus $200 for parking. Someone nuke this place please.
That is just insane to me, I haven’t run into any location that compares to the cost there.😳
Thanks for the very helpful videos!
Thank you so much for watching!!

Thank you so much for watching! Asking someone to makes 3.5 times their rent is one heck of a requirement! Wow!
Any suggestions for frugal renting and buying around Broomfield?

If you don't make over 100k as individual debt free in Denver, you will live broke with roommates.
It has definietly gotten ore challenging to afford Denver, this is a common thought people share with me.

Haha, never a bad idea to follow Coach Prime! I appreciate you watching!

2 bedrooms are a little more economic than I expected!
Agreed - I think there are some reasonable deals to be had, depending on location and how picky someone is!

Thanks for watching! What part of PA are you in?
Cheaper than Northeast PA. But WAY more expensive than my hometown in central Pa. PA has a mix of cost of living that’s for sure

No denying that - Denver has become a high cost city compared to most, no doubt about it. I appreciate you watching and for your perspective!
First!!!
Thank you!!
Wow! I had no idea that people with the intelligence to move from another state couldn't figure out any of this on their own. What a helpful video!🤣
