- Written in 1735, Le Coucou by the French composer Louis-Claude Daquin imitates the sprightly call of the cuckoo bird, at its most vocal during the day. Listen to Fazıl Say's recording for his Morning Piano collection: w.lnk.to/daqLY
Morning - Evening by Fazıl Say presents solo-piano pieces handpicked by the pianist himself to capture the moods of these opposing times of day: from when life awakens in the morning to the closing of the night. On his selections for the morning, the pianist explains, "There have been mostly baroque and early classical works on the radio in the mornings since my childhood. I used to start the day with the beautiful melodies and rhythmic energy of baroque music. Therefore, I particularly wanted to have many music pieces from this period in the Morning Piano collection."

I've watched a few most excellent pianists performing this on UA-cam. Whilst those were all technically excellent performances, so far, for me, this gentleman is the only one who truly makes the piano sing when playing this piece.
yeap thats the talent.
Because no one knows how piano can sing.
A true master at piano ❤
Fazil's hands dance over the piano keys like two loving birds...
Fazil say is the G.O.A.T of piano

This piece that Louis Claude Daquin composed is trying to imitate the sound of a cuckoo of a bird
It’s played very beautifully 😊
Thx
Fazıl Say Say bitmez 🤎
HIS BETTER THAN MY OWN TEACHER
Bro are you brainless
Better than every one who plays this song
Pretty flawless performance but a little weird to watch lol 😆
too fast😑
Great playing, if only he didn't have those cringeworthy facial expressions, really distracts from an otherwise good performance.
You don't listen with your eyes. Also this is nothing he can help out
True eyes are for watching but this is a video production so it matters, the visual part of a performance also matters in communicating with the audience ..the only time it doesn't matter is when only audio is being recorded in a studio..I think he could help it (if he wanted to) I've seen many pianists in masterclasses learn to not rock back and forth so much for example..tends to make the viewers "sea sick" lol
Fazıl Say born with cleft lip and palate which is a disease that vuriations of a type of celfting congenital. A cleft is a fissure or openning -a gap. It's the non-fusion of the body's natural structures that form before birth. When Fazıl Say was a little boy, he had a surgery to treat the cleft lip and palate.
