Thank YOU guys for hosting us! We had so much fun! Alfred is talking about Ziggy every night - he loved having someone love to run around as much a Ziggy does! Our cat is a bit more lazy! 😄
It was fantastic vlog. Just saw another vlog on Homeworthy youtube an author in New York who owned a book shop. She painted her living room a muted pink colour and had in two sitting areas a blue sofa, the colour looked fantastic on the walls with her blue furniture and cozy.
I can see why you are friends & what an inspiring tour through your fresh eyes! I was excited to hear Anna is thinking of using the Japanese Kintsukuroi gold technique on the fire hearth. I love that effect.
I love that this was so long that you could really spend time I tried a cup of coffee and pretended to be there with you on the tour. Thank you so much.
I'm such a fan of "How to Renovate a Chateau" and seeing the four of you bouncing ideas off each other and talking shop is really entertaining and informative. So glad to be a new subscriber!
Lovely video, thanks for sharing. so inspirational to see the great colors and eclectic styles. Reminds me of my own home. In America everything is going monotone white or grey and honestly, I don't like it. We see color and should embrace it just as you all have. thanks!
It was soo much fun and we can’t wait to go back! So much to talk about, do and see! Making new friends with whom you share several passions…it’s the best!
Enjoyed this video and theirs! You highlighted the importance of lighting for room design in their video. It would be great if you did a tutorial on lighting concepts and LED colors in a future video. Best Regards!
Thank you, Tim! 😊 So glad you enjoyed both videos! Lighting really is a game-changer, and we’d love to dive deeper into concepts like LED colors and lighting design in a future episode. Thanks for the suggestion-it’s definitely on our list now! Best regards! 💡
Yay! I get to hear from your beautiful family twice today! I don’t know where you find time to go away for a weekend in between both of you working full time & raising children! Let alone renovating your home!My favorite renovation couple❤🙏🙏Blessing’s
Haha you have to make time for it - otherwise, we will just fill it with any of the thousands of projects we have under way! 😅 It was such an inspiring and fun trip! And more to come next week where we continue our trip in France!
Haha thank you! 😄 We’re so glad you enjoyed it! Plenty more to come! Next week, we go thrift shopping, and we get to see the process of Kristina designing their new living room!
When Philip and Anna were on their boating trip that is when I saw your beautiful home .and now you are in France .So it is lovely to see you all again.I think curtains and rugs are needed in Philip and Anna's Chateau .Look forward to following you on here .Also some pictures on the walls .Well that's what I like .I think it makes for interest and cosy look ..But I do love their Chateau and have been following from the beginning.
How very impressive! You have accomplished so much in this old Chateau. Anna is an amazingly talented artist and between her and Phillip, (and the carpenter) they have made an old home into a lovely contemporary mansion. Bravo!
I've found your channel through the How to Renovate a Chateau channel. And I'm so impressed with what you're doing with your manor house. Your style is impeccable and warm. Looking forward to see your future episodes and adventures. You all seem to have a lot in common as friends, I'm very happy you've met each other. Thanks for sharing a piece of your lives with us. You're very inspiring in so many ways. ✌️
Thank you so much for such a thoughtful message! 😊 We’re really grateful to have connected with amazing people like Philipp and Anna-and now, with wonderful viewers like you. Knowing that you’re enjoying our style and what we’re creating here at the manor means a lot. We’ve got so many more adventures and projects ahead, and it’s fantastic to have you along for the ride. Thanks for joining us and for all the support! ❤️
I‘m here from How to renovate a château. I‘m half Swedish, half German. And I had to laugh so hard when I saw that you brought kanelbullar to Philipp. I commented on his videos in the summer that he would fall in love with them. So hard not to have them here and the baking takes so much time. Have to make some for Christmas.
Welcome to the channel, and tack så mycket for joining us! 😊 So glad the kanelbullar made you laugh-we couldn’t visit without sharing a little Swedish love! You absolutely called it; Philipp did seem smitten! 😄
@ I just trusted your excellent taste. My grandmother used to bring them to Vienna at Christmas and my father pretended not to be into them….then he ate some of them at night, thinking we would not notice 🤣 Also, I was happy to hear that Anna and you really want to pick up my suggestion with the filling of the cracks in the marble using the Kintsugi technique. Can‘t wait to see it. I would love to be part of it, have not idea how to do it though 🤔🙈. But I could ask a ceramicist to find out and I think there are some useful UA-cam videos. And whilst we are at it, we could implement a kanelbulle baking session, what do you think? My Swedish cousin has a great recipe!
That Louisiana Blue is also famous...a Mix of Blue and Black..a Historic Military Colony of the French..found in many Forts..Nice Show..Thanks for sharing.
I remember seeing you two on Philpp and Anna’s channel a few months ago but I don’t recall that they put your channel info on their site at that time. I’m glad to have found you as your home was beautiful to see. Now I can watch its transformation. Watching, and enjoying your content from Mexico City.
New subscriber here - what a lovely tour! I really appreciate how thorough you were and you allowed enough time to chat and get more their back story. I have been following Philip and Anna for years, but I learned new things from your tour. Looking forward to getting to know your manor house now, too. In terms of the mirror vs art in the bedroom, my vote is for art. Feng Shui may sound silly, but it is often rooted in practicality. And what could be nicer than waking up and looking at a lovely piece of art?
Welcome to the channel, and thank you for subscribing! 😊 We’re so glad you enjoyed the tour and appreciated the extra time to chat with Anna and Philipp-it’s always fascinating to learn more about their journey, even for long-time followers! Can’t wait to take you through our manor house adventures!
Give it time and those rooms will fill up with the rugs, books, paintings that they are missing right now. There are beautiful modern rugs and paintings out there somewhere it just takes time.
The guest rooms are stunning! The simplicity allows the historical charm of the chateau to really shine! It’s always fascinating to see how different design choices can bring out a home’s personality! 😊
Kintsugi: As a philosophy, kintsugi is similar to the Japanese philosophy of wabi-sabi, an embracing of the flawed or imperfect. Japanese aesthetics values marks of wear from the use of an object. This can be seen as a rationale for keeping an object around even after it has broken; it can also be understood as a justification of kintsugi itself, highlighting cracks and repairs as events in the life of an object, rather than allowing its service to end at the time of its damage or breakage. The philosophy of kintsugi can also be seen as a variant of the adage, "Waste not, want not".
Well done, Kristina and Karl, that took some time to film and edit and it shows. Enjoyed seeing more of the flow of the chateau and details in rooms than I had before watching Anna and Philip's episodes. Love that you brought a Carl and Karin Larsson book, I am such a fan of their home and design style.
Thank you so much for noticing the effort that went into this episode-it truly means a lot! ❤️ We loved being able to show a different perspective of Anna and Philip’s beautiful chateau. And we’re thrilled to hear you’re a fellow Carl and Karin Larsson fan! Their work is endlessly inspiring, and we couldn’t resist bringing a little piece of Swedish design to France. So glad you enjoyed the video! 🤗
Thank you for starting your you tube channel. I just binged your videos today. It was Anna and Philip who sent me down this chateau/manor/ estate you tube video obsession. Welcome.
Thank you so much for binge-watching! 😊 We’re thrilled to have you join us on this chateau/manor/estate journey. Huge thanks to Anna and Philip for bringing you our way-welcome to the adventure! 🏰✨
I really enjoyed this! First time visitor from Anna and Philip's channel "How to Renovate a Chateau" and must tell you that I kept getting confused as to whose I was watching! I'm sure it's because I had just watched theirs but I also have a fondness for their video when they visited YOU on their boating excursion! Now I'm more confused! 😛 I am delighted to have found you though. I liked and subscribed and am looking forward to seeing what Anna and Philip come up with after having such interesting input from you both while visiting them ... gosh I hope I got that right. See you again soon! ❤ B
Thank you so much for joining us, and for sticking through all the confusion! 😆 We totally understand-it’s like our channels blurred together in the best way possible through the channel crossover episodes! 😄We’re thrilled to have you here, and it’s wonderful knowing we’re reaching new friends from Anna and Philipp’s world. Can’t wait to show you more of our adventures and share what comes next. Thanks for subscribing and for the lovely message! ❤️
I have to apologise for watching this in shifts and skipping ads. I didn’t have an hour all at once. Wonderful to see you all together and swapping ideas. So happy you are all having fun and time out👏👏❤❤
No need to apologize at all, Susie! We’re just so glad you enjoyed the video, however you watched it. 😊 It was such a treat to come together and share ideas. Thank you for joining us, even in shifts, and for all the love and support! ❤️👏
We’re so happy to hear that you enjoyed it! It was so much fun for us to go visit them! It’s one thing to see it on UA-cam, and something entirely different to see it with your own eyes! Such a beautiful place!
I have recently discovered you from Phillip and Annas UA-cam, whom I discovered from Chateau Diaries with Phillippe and Stephanie, such joy you bring a new flavor to the chateau world. I think Anna you meant a dressing table? I love watching each Chatelyn's different creativity and styles come to life. thankyou for sharing this new channel with us, you are lovely to listen to.
Thank you for your kinds words! It really makes our day to hear that you feel our channel brings something new to the table! We love all the other chateau channels - not to mention Anna and Philipp's of course - and we really feel that we'd like to bring our own style and ideas to it all, allowing viewers like you to mix and match as you wish between the channels :) Much love!
Thank you for the thorough tour of Anna and Phillips' chateau, you asked so many questions that many of us have been curious about, so a deeply satisfying vlog. Can't wait for next week since you left us on such an unexpected cliffhanger and it certainly seemed the children have become friends.
So thrilled that you and your family were able to visit Anna and Phillips in Normandy! The house tour was amazing and so great to see two remarkable renovators walking and talking thru the design processes! Charming! Cheers!
Great tour! I love Carl and Karin Larsson! I have a large copy of one of his paintings in my living room and a couple of books of his artwork. Their home is so beautifully depicted in his paintings. What a thoughtful present for Anna!
Such a fantastic episode getting to walkthrough Anna & Phillips Chateau with you! I could see your creative mind working as you were chatting and moving from room to room and can’t wait to see the ideas you come up with as you help them bring their style to the next level. This is a very exciting concept for me because I love both Anna & Phillips creative style choices especially with textiles and wallpaper design, and I simply adore everything about your’s and Kalle’s style choices from colours to the little finishing details that bring personality and a cozy warmth and elegance that is so inviting. As a viewer this is a pairing made in heaven, and dare I hope (hint) that maybe a future collaboration between you both could even see some form of an online store featuring some of your combined talents for beautiful home decor items😉🤞(not so subtle hint) Eagerly awaiting the next episode, that teaser of an almost arrest is so intriguing…plus decor shopping! 🙌
Thank you so much for the lovely comment! We’re absolutely thrilled you enjoyed the tour-it was a blast seeing Anna & Philipp’s chateau through fresh eyes, and the creative ideas were definitely flowing! Who knows what collaborations might come in the future… we’ll keep the “not so subtle hint” in mind 😉 We’re already counting down to the next episode too; it’s a wild one, almost-arrest and all! Can’t wait to share more cozy, elegant chaos with you. 🎉✨
I just loved your walk through, both of you were inspiring each other. How wonderful to find like minded renovators. l just can’t wait to see your design for Anna and Philip’s Salon. I can’t wait for Anna to add some texture and cosiness to her rooms. Such a wonderful video. I have just finished painting the ‘ yellow ‘ dresser! It’s added a block of colour, as the rest of the kitchen is Cream! Thankyou. 💐🪴🌳
I agree that soft furnishings like curtains would do these rooms great help. Sadly, I’ve found so many room here as being cold. Even rooms painted in warm colors.
So lovely to get a double dose of both of you this weekend. When you are all ready for a trip to Sicily, we’d love to show you the palazzo version of manor and chateau life 😂. Just add a volcano! 😊🌋
@@lauraquigley6403 You just made history as our first patron-THANK YOU! Your support means the world (and has us doing a happy dance over here!). Welcome to the manor family! 🌿👏💛
It was so lovely to see you in France with Anna an Phillip. Their home is so different from yours both location (country) and design wise. They are minimalists for sure and Anna is so talented with her design for fabric color and wall coverings. I do hope you asked Anna to design some wall covering for your little vanity room, maybe using a floral design significant to Sweden. I am sure it was a wonderful visit for both couples as well as the children. Thank you for taking us along.
Thank you! 😊 It was such a joy to visit Anna and Philip in France-the contrast between our homes really does highlight how unique each place is! Designing a Swedish-inspired floral wallpaper for our vanity room is a fantastic idea; we’ll definitely keep that in mind! It was a memorable visit for all of us, and we’re so glad we could share it with you. ❤️
The kitchen is wonderful and I am sure a great place to chill, but it seems to have some echo - Have you ever considered putting curtains or a carpet with the dining table
One room at a time :-) Once the living room is done up, I'm sure it'll just be a matter of time before they hop into the next room, and the next, giving it the same glow-up with textures, fabrics and coziness!
Find some old Persian rugs,,10x12..8x12..the Bigger ones are cheaper as there is less demand for them but you have Big rooms...also Rugs help with the Accoustics...better for recording...less Echos
New coming over from Anna and Phillips Chateau channel. Really enjoyed your tour of their chateau and I’ve subscribed…looking forward to your next video. Watching from PA, USA.
If it was my place I would've tried to find a beautiful antique/vintage tapestry, pure French style to fit into the space above the fire place and maybe into another space? Not heavy ones, just enough to give a vintage vibe? What about......Maybe you can find a tapestry artist to make a portrait of each of you? Oh it will suit your chateau class so well, I can clearly see Philip dressed up into vintage clothes, filling a panel with his vintage charm . The colour you've painted the room lend it self to antique tapestries. Maybe I'm bias.?....hehe!
Thanks for coming all the way to see us, we had the best time hanging out with you and loved the video! Well done!
Thank YOU guys for hosting us! We had so much fun! Alfred is talking about Ziggy every night - he loved having someone love to run around as much a Ziggy does! Our cat is a bit more lazy! 😄

Welcome to the channel! Happy to have you onboard!
Love the Swedish moment of taking your shoes off and walking in socks!
Of course! A sign of respect to the homeowner - plus it keeps the house tidy and free from dirt 💁🏻♀️🤗
I was the one who suggested to fill in the cracks in the marble with the Japanese Kintsugi technique…so happy Anna is really planning to do that.
Ok, wow, it’ll be exciting to see what Anna decides to do!

Thankyou. 💐🪴🌳
Great to hear that you enjoyed the episode! And we’re even happier to hear about your yellow dresser! Good for you! 💫❤️🤗
TY for sharing I really enjoyed this. As well as all of the other episodes. ❤
Thank YOU for watching and welcome to the channel! 💫☺️
I agree that soft furnishings like curtains would do these rooms great help. Sadly, I’ve found so many room here as being cold. Even rooms painted in warm colors.
There are a lot of things that need to come together and play in concert with each other to achieve the desired effect!
Hello I am coming from "How To Renovate A Chateau".
Hi there! And welcome to the channel!
I love their style and colour choices.
👍🏻
So lovely to get a double dose of both of you this weekend. When you are all ready for a trip to Sicily, we’d love to show you the palazzo version of manor and chateau life 😂. Just add a volcano! 😊🌋
Haha sounds exciting! Putting it on the list! 😄🤗
Loved the tour the chateau which I have been following for three years. I especially love the Swedish touches. Glad Fars Dag!
Thank you! We also love that bits of Sweden has made its way into the chateau! ☺️ Karl says hi and thank you on Father’s Day! 🤗
Very happy to see the Swedish channel for a manor renvation. Greetings from Norway ;)

@@lauraquigley6403 You just made history as our first patron-THANK YOU! Your support means the world (and has us doing a happy dance over here!). Welcome to the manor family! 🌿👏💛
I am honored ❤🙏
Looking forward to be part of your channel as well🌺🌺🌺
Thank you! We’re so glad to have you here with us and can’t wait to share more of the journey together!
@SwedishManorLife ❤️😘 I love your house and style!
Great tour thank you!
With pleasure! 🤗
Your taste is always elegant Anna. I wish you and your family continued success. Fantastic Job.❤❤❤
👍🏻
Find some old Persian rugs,,10x12..8x12..the Bigger ones are cheaper as there is less demand for them but you have Big rooms...also Rugs help with the Accoustics...better for recording...less Echos
Yes, rugs (and textiles in general) really do help with the acoustics of a room!
Oh my! Love Karl Larson!
YES! So do we! 🤗💫
I like you guys! subscribed : )
And we like you for subscribing! Thank you and welcome aboard! 😄🤗❤️
Great video ! Hint for sticky drawers, talcum powder works wonders.💗👍
Haha thanks! 😄🙏🏻
A suggestion Anna, perhaps a set of draped white voile curtains to add a soft touch to your guest wash room.
👍🏻
Just joined your channel from the Midwest!
Welcome aboard! So happy to have you with us! ❤️🤗
Loved the tour
Happy to hear that! 🤗❤️
Your children are very good travelers❤
They are, indeed! 🤗
New coming over from Anna and Phillips Chateau channel. Really enjoyed your tour of their chateau and I’ve subscribed…looking forward to your next video. Watching from PA, USA.
Welcome to the channel! So happy to have you onboard! 💫🤗 Plenty more to come!
Thanks!
WOW! What can we say - thank you so much! We're happy that you enjoyed the video! Plenty more content to come your way! ❤️
Looking forward to watch this as I ve ben chateau researching - not to renovate but just to stay the night. Do you let rooms out?
Unfortunately, neither we nor Anna & Philipp rent out rooms ☺️
If it was my place I would've tried to find a beautiful antique/vintage tapestry, pure French style to fit into the space above the fire place and maybe into another space? Not heavy ones, just enough to give a vintage vibe? What about......Maybe you can find a tapestry artist to make a portrait of each of you? Oh it will suit your chateau class so well, I can clearly see Philip dressed up into vintage clothes, filling a panel with his vintage charm . The colour you've painted the room lend it self to antique tapestries. Maybe I'm bias.?....hehe!
well yeah if you ask them to give you a coffee that way don't be surprised if you're met with rudeness. Viva la France
Haha, fair point! 😆 Cultural nuances can be tricky sometimes! But we love the charm (and quirks) that come with it all. Viva la France, indeed! 🇫🇷☕
can you share a link to the lawson book?
Sure! We’ll put a link in the video description soon!
Green bathing is also a Japanese thing.
Ok! Didn’t know that!
Viva la Sweden!!❤️❤️
YES INDEED!
Dressing table
👍🏻
Lovely!! I would put the blue L-shaped sofa upstairs in another family room and buy lovely new sofas for this room.
Time will tell! 👍🏻🙏🏻🤗
Love your videos ❤ I’m not sure why Anna doesn’t use the extension of the dining table to fill the room up just an idea
Happy to hear that you enjoy our content! ❤️
The Japanese technic is name kintsugi😊
Wow! Ok! Thank you for pointing that out 🤗
Perhaps, as an artist herself, Anna is more choosy abt the works of other artists? Maybe eventually we will see more of her own paintings???
Only a matter of time, we believe 😉
🙋♀️❤️
👋🏻❤️🤗
Anna! Gold shower curtain rod in the upstairs bedroom/bath.
👍🏻
Nice to see you all are enjoying a holiday.
Yes! 🙌🏻
ME! Beautiful ladies !
❤️❤️❤️🤗
