Wrong.
AR15 is a ball-dominant, scoring guard who needs the ball in his hands to be his most effective self. He IS NOT a consistent, catch-and-shoot option. He shoots more consistently off the bounce.
DK is a three-level scoring wing, capable of being just as efficient off-the-ball in catch & shoot situations as he is off the bounce. His middy game is deadly and his athleticism is underrated. The only thing they share in common is being liabilities on defense. If it wasn't for that fact, they could both work on the court together and would be a nice compliment to each other. AR15 can initiate the offense and handle the ball, with DK being the scoring wing with a legit 3-ball that has to be respected on the perimeter.

Ja’s camp is a big reason why Edey got drafted. Same development guys from IMG Academy for both of them, then Memphis said they knew they were picking him since last year.
Facts! Morant-Adams PnR was deadly and created so much space for Morant to work. JJJ was able to play his more natural position and spread the floor if defenders closed in on the Morant drive. Adams good hands also made it an easy two but also his passing ability was underrated. People really aren't taking this into account. It's pretty much alike for like swap but for a younger much more taller player. My only concern is with a Edey can develop a passing game off PnRs like Adams and whether his body/engine will be able to stand up for the rest of the game like the role Adams played. What comes also is that Edey can score so maybe on a few possessions get him a few shots would help too

Edey with Ja is gonna be nasty work because you now have a player that can shave off clock and preserve Ja in moments. He also doesn't have bad vision from the post and makes the basic reads accurately. So with better targets like Bane and JJJ along Ja, they can now be deadly in the half-court.
They definitely did this for the half court offense because they struggled with that in the playoffs.
NGL Edey is in a perfect situation, Adams-Morant blueprint was nasty. They picked the right type of player for that team and if Edey can create lanes for Ja it just opens up JJJ. Dont forget JJJ had a career best year when Adams was on the court same with Ja. Ja-JJJ-Edey is gonna be a nightmare
Edey fits in Memphis perfectly, just rebound, rim run, post up, pick and roll, and the team is athletic enough and defensive enough to have him out there
And we can finally move that Non rebound ass Jaren back to the 4
What is funny about is that they used to have a player that was literally Edey...Steve Adams and traded him because he was clogging the pain, killing Memphis spacing, nobody could be driving now to the rim.

It was because Adam's got a season ending injury and he was coming close to the end of his contract. Having Stephen Adams out on the court allowed JJJ to play some of his beet basketball and space the floor with his shooting. Morant also benefited from all the open lanes

Bad injury and end of contract combination will usually lead to a trade to try to get some value instead of letting them walk as a FA. Steven Adams is a very good centre his problem is injuries lately. But definitely gives you all you need from a big.
Look don't matter who gets the basket Ja or Edey, if they don't switch Ja got the 2. If they bring help, freight train behind him for a lob dunk. If they clog up the lane for the roll, kick out for a 3 or setup the post up for Edey. High screen and roll is gonna be a nightmare for opposing teams especially considering the wide spacing in the NBA. Then you got the 4 out perimeter and dump into the post where its a mismatch EVERYTIME, you gotta bring help and its a kickout to an easy open 3. Grizz got alot of options now.
Edey going to have to guard Embiid in the olympics, that is a wild welcome to the NBA moment.

To give a guy a spot in the Lakers roster just because his dad is a GOAT superstar player is not fair. There’s a kid that deserves that spot out there that didn’t get picked because of this. A kid who earned that spot. Who worked his ass off, put in the work to get that spot. To just give away a roster spot to another kid that really did not fair that well against college opposition. Brony is a good kid. His father has done great things for the league. That has to be said. BUT at the same time, you can’t dumb down your roster to accommodate a kid who just ain’t ready. One day, he just might be ready but today, he is an average college player who underperformed. His stats will show that Brony is not him. Pick 55 is meant to spent on a great player that can immediately help your organization. Brony will not be the best player on a G-League team. It’s that simple. At 55, the Lakers could have filled a need on their roster. The Lakers have too many “needs” to gamble. Yes, this will make the King 👑 happy. But….who is the 👑 King? LJ needs other players at this point in his career to win. He should be looking to win a championship before retiring. So…….spending pick 55 on his son makes no sense at all. The Lakers are a team with some issues right now. They are not a team that can afford to not make the playoffs. Even being a playoff team is simply not enough if you’re wearing that purple and gold uniform. The bar has been set too high for the Lakers to accept just being in the playoffs. They have to win a chip!! The “Logo,” Jerry West has just passed. That loss of a legendary figure is still fresh and the Lakers should be out for blood! IF you’re going to fire your coach and hire a guy who has zero experience AND on top of that waste the 55th pick on Brony, you better have a plan! You better or things will blow up real fast 💨 in LA.
