NOTE: This is a game MOD for the PS3 version of Persona 5! NOT Persona 5 Royal!
My friend Sierra recreated the entire sequence of events both using the game's own event system, meaning we can record these scenes in higher resolution, higher framerate, and with P5EX, using outfits too!

It never looked like it was even rendered to me, it looked that good. All I ever noticed was that the lip-syncing wasn't the best.

Yaldobaoths halo can be seen when Sataneal is descending.
Honestly the only reason why the villain in this game got as far as he did is because Margaret was absent. No way in hell he would of been able to fool Igor and Margaret both into his scheme and no way in hell would he beat Margret in a fight.

Yaldabaoth defeated Igor who was the strongest Velvet Room Dweller. You can simp for Margaret and Elizabeth as much as you want. They're both Igor's bitches, and Igor is Yaldabaoth's bitch.

This line is what makes this entire scene more impactful to me bro. All the people cheering them on acknowledging their power, but especially because they do this for the good of others.

Okay but the fact that Joker’s true persona is LITERALLY SATAN.
HOLY SHIT. THE SYMBOLISM.
The symbolism does go crazy, but Satanael isn't exactly the biblical Satan (in this case). Satan and Lucifer are different Personas all together in the series; this is the Satanael from Gnosticism. In Gnostic tradition Satanael was an angel who rebelled against Yaldabaoth after learning he was not the true god by giving humanity the knowledge to free themselves from his rule. Super in line with the story and the themes.
No it isn't that's wrong and a misconception. Sataneal is a Gnostic Angel who wanted to serve God and then rebelled against Yaldaboath when he learned the God of Control was an imposter

Some branches of Gnosticism have also said Satanael is another name for the Demiurge.
Frankly, I think this works even in a Christian context because Satan does represent Joker the best. He was the one who offered free will and knowledge to the Phantom Thieves, and allowed them to break the will of god himself.
gnosticism and christianity are essentially two sides of the same coin meaning the story of Satanael and Yaldaboath and the story of Satan and Yahweh are one in the same, just told from different perspectives.

It didn't seem pre rendered on my ps4, this cutscene was about the same as any other cutscene in terms of quality and framerate. At least thats what it seemed to me

I think it's would have been so more meaningful joker getting back to his civilians clothes. He no longer revolt against society, he is free from his chains
I thought he only got Satanael as his persona because he was revolting against society. He was fighting a malevolent god who was disguised as benevolent, meaning he technically played the devil's advocate by defeating Yaldabaoth with a demon lord.

Wouldn’t it be the other way around? If he’s in his civilian clothes then he conforms to society and tries to fit in. His Thief outfit is different from everyone else and unique to him so his which makes him more free from society’s chains.

@madamaklee Pretty much yeah. Maybe the activity of the Phantom Thieves and the events surrounding Maruki, Wakaba, and cognitive science *somehow* escaped the Shadow Operatives' notice.
Tokyo merging with Mementos, causing it to rain blood and massive skeletons to cover the city, followed by the invading force being defeated by an unidentified group of Persona users? No way in hell that doesn't get Mitsuru's attention.
He does loom crazy cool even with his civilian clothes, theres probably no qay to make joker look un cool, i mean agree??

I think the difference between P3 and P5 is that Universe Minato *would* be capable of a "Sinful Shell" that could kill/banish Nyx, but that *wasn't* the problem with The Fall.
In P3, the issue was that Erebus communicated Humanity's Despair to Nyx, and would do so until Humanity had no such desires (or they were greatly culled). Minato became Door-Kun because that was the only solution to the problem of "Nyx and Erebus must be perpetually separate".
In P5 it is assumed that after Satanael and the Sinful Shell, Igor/The Velvet Room/his own vow of "testing Humanity" restrained Yaldabaoth, preventing him from pulling his Metaverse shenanigans again after his respawn timer finished, however long that would/will be.

The real issue was that no matter how much power the MC would've racked up. And he did rack up a shitload of power.
Nyx can't be killed or destroyed. The avatar of nyx kinda can, but not nyx herself. She is literally death and the source of shadows and personas. Destroying nyx would mean destroying the entire collective unconscious (aka metaverse).
Even the universe arcana can't provide what kind of force would be needed to destroy death itself. Sealing her and preventing her descent was the only viable option.
@@dennisleonardo2992 Through P4 and P5, we know deities can be convinced of your ideals via combat or whatever, so a Sinful Shell may have worked against Nyx in a technical "Witness Humanities resolve to live on" kinda way (+ in PQ1 we do destroy an avatar of a fundamental force, albeit temporarily and potentially non-canon).
The whole "fragment Death into 12 Arcana Shadows + one emo boi's psyche" did seem to work at holding back Nyx's descent (at least until we and Strega interfered), so we could probably use the Universe to fragment it again, although maybe the Avatar obtained resistance to that method.
It is mentioned that post-Answer, Elizabeth has been culling Erebus every now and then, but that also regens fairly frequently.
Really, it's that Narukami and Amamiya didn't draw the short straw and had problems they were able to just punch away.
It might be just me, but I'm just barely seeing some differences :/

The fact that this last section of the game doesn't have everyone NOT in their Phantom Thieves Attire is a bit of a disappointment. What's the point in rebelling against society if you're there to save it?

Everyone is wearing their third semester casual outfits. That makes no sense. They should have their phantom thief attire as they are still rebelling. It also clashes with the portraits in the fight.
Sumire is still there. Again, why?
Joker’s glasses disappear as he summons Arsene, like the mask does, but they reappear in the fight. That’s not supposed to happen. The mask stays off, so why cannot the glasses?
