My love for Berry Bros. & Rudd knows no bounds. Considering where it is located and all its history, they offer ridiculous value to go with the unrivalled selection. Thank Ian and Joe, for this fascinating insight of the history, as well as behind the scenes access into BBR... one of the most iconic retailers in the world ❤ Thank you Widow Bourne. Your legacy has given untold pleasure to so, so many
Excellent and informative episode Gentleman. ❤ What a brilliant host Joe was. This is now firmly on my ‘visit’ list. Fantastic BBR history lesson ,the longevity is quite remarkable.
Amazing video on a great brand, always very good whisky at a very reasonable price. If you are visiting London, the shop is a must visit with very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Picked up the craigy and a Ruad Mhor, amazing stuff!
thanks for tuning in Carl; glad you enjoyed it and couldn't agree with your comments more. Glad to hear you picked up their Craigey - it's one of our favourites! sláinte
Enjoyed this video man , nice one . Have had a few IB Berry Bro's before i think the glencadam 2011 and another i can't recall now. I have my eye on that Strathclyde 2005 at 56.5 . Wish i could fork out for the Glen Grant 98 you had there, tasty stuff i bet.
the great thing about BBR is that they generally hit the spot with all of their releases, young or old, accessible or expensive. definitely jump on the Strathclyde, I'm sure it will slap. thanks for tuning in Jonny, hope to see you on the next one my friend. sláinte
Really cool episode, loved learning the history of Berry Bro’s 👏 I really need to make the trip to their shop seeming I work fairly near it and this video has given me a kick up the butt to get down there haha
good man Chris - no doubt you'll find a couple of gems that will make your trip well worthwhile. thanks for tuning in as always, really appreciate you getting involved. sláinte good sir!
I used to collect a trailer full of wine & spirits from Basingstoke Berry Bros warehouse 5 days a week. Before Covid it was all for retail then Covid arrived and the quantity that was sold to the public was staggering. The prices of some of the specialist wines & spirits in shop was mind blowing. Some great bargains to be had if you around the shop at Basingstoke. Hand written prices on certain bottles.
@@TheWhiskyBaron It’s a pretty big warehouse and I know they have storage for customers who want to keep their purchases safe & secure. The shop is open to the public and as I said some of the prices are eye watering for certain wines & spirits. Worth a visit if local and maybe pick up a bargain. Keep up the great work.
I lived in London for 6 months back in 2009 but I was a young whipper snapper back then and not into fine scotch but if I ever go back it'll be on the list. Scotch is getting really expensive in Australia so I'm a whisky bargain hunter now haha @@TheWhiskyBaron
@@Dan-hn1lx shame - easily missed when it's right on your doorstep! definitely get it on your itinerary for the next trip over. what are your local haunts now?
@@TheWhiskyBaron I live in Perth, Western Australia theres a few nice local whisky bars ill hit up once in awhile the last dram I had from there was the Port cask Kilkerran and it was a good drop.

1998 distillate bottled in 2021 according to the label - so max age is 23 :) Could always be a labelling error as I've seen that with Sponge @@TheWhiskyBaron
