Thank you! This was the missing piece I needed to learn. I never understood how to properly import and size logo elements. I have clients that usually give me shitty logo files to work with. I always need to reformat them in Illustrator before animating in After Effects. Thank you for posting this video.

Hi, I'm having a problem that I don't know how to solve. When I "create shape from vector layer" the color of my layer changes. So I had one layer that was a dark blue and after creating the shape it turned into black, and the light blue layer turned into white after creating the shape. Any idea?

Tried this out and it doesn't seem to work. Every time I import it from AI to AE it imports as a PS file. I found a fix for that "right-click" the file and select "new comp from selection." After that my composition is black. Even as a PS file, my file is just black. If anyone has a workaround or tip, I'd appreciate it.

I don't understand why Adobe switched everything into these annoying sub groups. It worked MUCH BETTER as it originally worked and you didn't have to constantly pick apart your artwork to make it work with AE. No wonder Sketch and Figma told hold.
