I actually just heard a metal cover of this song, by State of Mine. It's absolutely incredible. They 100% keep the soul of the song. If anyone ever wondered if metal and country mix, the answer is freakin' yes!
@@foxytlbrider2569 it's my pleasure! They also do a damn good God's Country cover. Also, if you like them you'd probably like Leo Moracchioli! Very similar vibes!
i personally don't think it is. this is not the original brooks song, the typo at the beginning is likely intentional for copyright reasons, which is why it's been allowed to be left accessible for free on youtube. it's not a terrible cover, but it's 100% not garth brooks singing this song
@@foxytlbrider2569 it's notoriously difficult to find Brooks originals for free. i don't know that the actual song is anywhere on youtube, unless it's some low-quality live recording or something, or it's obscurely titled and hard to find. this cover is close, but whatever it is that makes Brooks so iconic is missing from the timbre of the singer's voice. i personally have never been a country music fan, but i grew up around a bunch of family who were, and my mom loves Brooks. i distinctly remember hearing this particular song as a young child and enjoying it, something about the song was almost hypnotic, and listening to all these covers i realize that whatever it is, it's in Brooks' voice. the rest of the song can be exactly the same, but without his vocals, it's a completely different feel. for this reason i started buying old CD's of my favorites years ago, it's a fun throwback feeling to own the physical copy and you know you're getting the music as the artist intended. also, it's super easy to find a lot of stuff for pretty cheap online!

That I can honestly agree with.
