Great to see Kevin back here again, he always explains in crystal clear ways that we can all understand. Keep up the good work Allen, Roy & Kevin, we would all be “lost” without you guys!
Really good Allen all these points help and explain things clearly even though I have been doing heating systems and servicing for 30 plus years thank you.
On the EPH combi pack 4 is there a way to turn the heating on from the receiver? When I do push the receiver button the radiators turn off after 10 seconds? Any ideas ?
As far as i know this is only happening with really old boiler polarity issue, i know for example Sime Murelle old one 20+ years, another thing that's not covered is that new boilers have little resistor on cable and so ON this is pretty much only for old boilers
There are two or three different ways to detect a flame, with rectification. This is one of those ways. I would say 10 years plus but a lot are still out there and I wanted to just show an example of what would happen. Not necessarily the exact process of rectification.
Whats the average salary for a newly qualified gas engineer in Scotland? Anyone know? 7k for the course with experience of working with real engineers for 10 wks at the end

Ideal are known (in my opinion) for cracked/broken insulation on the ignition harness...
I don't think it will be 240v AC on the flame probe.
I don't think so either
Your right. Didn’t spot that. Sorry
It’s roughly between 40-80 volts, but because I was talking about polarity, think it got a bit confused, Thankyou for bringing it to my attention
