@Soulwalker Young I agree that CNA Insider does a wonderful job in documentaries. However, I disagree with the assumption that the three other medio corporations you mentioned are totally biased, racist, or Anti-Chinese.
I think their portrayal of China is fairly accurate and neutral, especially DW and NHK, which focus on many of the social aspects instead of politics.
Are they biased? Yes to some minor extents. But I think you shouldn't discredit BBC, DW, NHK for their factual and in depth reporting on all types of news and events.
Compared to Fox, the Sun, RT, CNN, CGTN, which spread low quality news and extremely biased views that bend or distort the reality of events to fit their narratives, I think BBC, DW, NHK aren't nearly as biased and doing a far better job.

Very refreshing to see a documentary about China that doesnt involve a political point of view, but rather tells the story of its people with all the good and bad that comes with it. Its good to realise for most westerners that China is much more than the Chinese government alone.

Honestly the migrant worker population story is the probably the most touching. The Chinese government has been making huge effort to reduce inflow to the first tier cities as there basically capped and sending people to the second/third tier cities.

This journey through China is a complete revelation. The narrator is an artist, able to describe through her own voice and the actions and explanations of the captivating people that she interviews. The adults, children and places involved themselves provide an anthropological insight into the lives of these dynamic and sensible participants. This is a discovery that reveals the wonder and hardship of being human , and also the hope and search for individual dreams in a Chinese context.
I can only feel a profound respect and enchantment after following this exceptional
    and revealing program.
    Thank You. ♦️♦️♦️

Zhou Yijun has done a remarkable job with this series. I would like to request subtitles. There are instances when she talks, and her accent is quite strong. I hope subtitles will be added in the future. Second, the American dream is not just being famous/successful/rich, it's the promise of freedom. You have the freedom to be the architect of your life. You can work your hardest, and you get to keep what you earn, you get to dictate how you conduct your life. America does not promise equality, or an easy life, but you have the right to "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness". It's crucial that people understand this. It's not just about money. You must have the liberty to pursue a life of happiness.

28:00 When it comes to teaching music, its difficult for students to grasp what's necessary when everyone's learning at a different pace. I'm confident when I say that it's easier, and faster, for someone to develop in a one on one basis. Not to mention, they'll probably end up with a vastly larger set of skills in that time. This is because, along with learning an instrument, there's also music theory, composition, ect. that the student needs to grasp. One thing I'm super proud of is to be able to say I've even taught adults to play guitar (yes, I can also play drums too/many other instr.) and in a relatively short amount of time had them progressing on their own. But something is better than nothing, even if it's not the preferred way.

And then, some of these so called "revolutions"... forced the situation to be chaos... and then changed the financial system... And unfairly distributed once again ! You can now find "mutual land funds" in MANY rural lands... i.e. The group of ex-farmers get a lot of money, even without working... And it comes from the central bank. Do you think this is also fair ???? I agree. Developed countries put more emphasis on work life balance. Here in the UK, we work too hard but other European countries have a 4 day week and much longer paid holidays. If China wants to be seen as developed, the government needs to improve worker’s conditions

    • @lexneuron

What you criticise of their work culture is reminiscent of a rather intriguing line used by Americans when they ran out of talking points in the 1990s when accusing Japanese of unfair competition, Americans said to Japanese, "Japanese engineers and workers did not take as many days off to go on vacation as American engineers and workers, and it is a very unfair competition. The argument sounds like Japanese were engaged in unfair competition by working more days than Americans, though Japanese also take vacation and have weekends, only not as many days off as Americans. If Japanese engineers and workers really took that many days off as Americans to go on vacation, one would find it rather doubtful if Japan could have accomplished what she did.
China has 1.4 billion people to feed, and the government is working hard to make progress on that gradually. Things take time to get perfect. China is still developing, and that is why she is called a developing country.

No, migrant workers mean, if you move from the rural areas (which you are registered as your heung ha), into the urban. You need permission or other. Same with urban city-folks, they cannot just farm in an urban city. Cos it is not allowed. This is not the English "migrant" or immigration.... It is part of the Chinese laws.. and the way the country is restructured. Some of the "rural" were actually a separate kind of Kingdom.... So mixing Kingdom... where there is no "rights" is probably not on the cards. Cos those who could move, was because they had their ancestors' money to move. Not the state's ! Now... the State has taken a LOT of money away from different areas, and has a sovereign fund as well..
