Noisia - Shellshock is one of my favorite tunes and has aged like fine wine Him and OV also did a cypher with Reeps One that i'll never forget UK Grime will never be the same. RIP legend
This really is one of the most tragic things to happen in bass music, and even EDM as a whole. He was undoubtedly one of the most iconic voices in bass music, and without Ebow and the other Foreign Beggars so much of the music I and tons of other listen to and cherish would be very different. I first found out about the Foreign Beggars through Never Say Die, and their EP on the label is one of my most loved EPs from my early days in dubstep. I was really excited to see him go on to make solo work like Pav has after Foreign Beggars split, but now we'll never see that happen. I can't imagine how his family and friends feel, especially his son, losing a parent at that age must be one of the most horrific things to experience. We've really lost a legend, I'll never forget the impact he's made.
Ebow “Metropolis” Graham was an immensely talented MC, wonderful person, and an innovator in music. His earlier days of making conscious hip-hop in the 2000s with Vulgatron as Foreign Beggars has created some on the best that genre has to offer, with beautiful albums such as Asylum Speakers and Stray Point Agenda. The 2010s saw Ebow foray into bass music and create some of the most impactful projects of the entire 2010s. The Harder They Fall EP, The Uprising LP, the I Am Legion project w/ Noisia, the various singles they released and the many collaborations with producers will stay ingrained in my heart forever. 2 2 Karma and Matriarchy, the final Foreign Beggars releases, will go down as some of the most well rounded hip-hop releases of all time, seamlessly mashing rap, grime, poetry and innovative beats together into one package. His solo career had the potential to bring him to the storytelling level of someone like Kendrick Lamar, but alas, we had to lose him at his prime. This is probably the saddest death in the scene in years, rivaling Optiv, Avicii and Andrew Weaterhall. Rest easy, Ebow
Wow. What a absolute shakeup. This year has been devastating. I was waiting to hear Metropolis's solo career after Vulgatron did his solo career. What a shocking moment. FB forever. One of the most iconic groups of all time.
If there wansn’t because of Foreign Beggars, Bass music wouldn’t be the same. Ebow is a legend, and that will never happen. Massive respect for him. I hope that his wife and son will be ok. If it is possible, donate to help his son. Such a sad weekend 💔😔. My favourite song from them is Anywhere feat. D.Ablo
My favorite tracks were Reaching Out, a old one before they got into bass music, and Never Stop with Starkey and Chrom3, in fact I pretty much love all of The Uprising
The absence of any real answer, the cryptic statement that he died of some (mysterious)… “accident at home”, seems to point to something likely dumb, like a drug O.D. or asphyxiation masturbation.
I know I'm a bit late to this but I only just found out about the news after relistening to Pav, so here's my thoughts. Damn, Foreign Beggars were legends in the early EDM scene and that's all thanks to Metro. He has such a recognizable voice, especially on his work with Skrillex, Noisia, and Feed Me. Shit, I think the first actual dubstep song I've ever heard was Scatta when I was about 10 or 11 years old, and his flow and rhythm just blew me away. I've only just recently started listening to Metro and the rest of FB's solo work about a year or two ago and every song I heard from them has been phenomenal. To realize that we'll never be able to hear anything from him again is just so hard to come to terms with, much like talented artists in the past I've been a fan of that were also taken too soon. My condolences goes out to Ebow's family and friends. No one ever deserves to die early.
Legend, icon, pioneer. Drop your favourite Foreign Beggars tracks and memories in the comments. Rest in Power Eboh 🖤

Sad to know one of the true pioneers of the Hip Hop/Bass crossover is gone. His voice made every tune he was featured on ten times better. RIP

How did he die? There is limited information on how and where his final resting place is I just can’t get over this it’s upset me so much ☹️
