Unfortunately for the subjugator it’s armament is mostly light turbolasers which has the weakest range, in comparison the Mandator is loaded with heavy turbolasers which have the most range, and the ion super weapon isn’t really enough to make up the difference so it’s pretty much hopeless in a 1v1. You need to line up as many munificents with your subjugator as a damage sink and let the ultra heavy TLs carried by the frigates deal damage
